Pet care experience
Friendly Park Slope Pet Caregiver
I have experience working with cats & dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, medical, and behavioral issues! I have experience administering medication, including asthma pumps. I love to be hands on and gain any and all experiences, so if there’s an opportunity to learn, I’m all in! For booking purposes: ***Please note that I do house sittings but do not do overnight stays! Pet Parents: PLEASE BE TRANSPARENT DURING BOOKINGS & NOT AFTER. I appreciate opportunities to make moments right, however, I cannot do that if the communication is lacking on your end. Please communicate any and all concerns and i’ll be more than happy to address them, this creates a positive experience for the both of us :)

Jay was very sweet with our cat and responsive! Thanks!!
Jay did an excellent job taking care of our cat while we were away!

I booked the sitter for several 30-minute drop-in appointments, but after checking the logs on my door sensor, I discovered that she had in fact only spent around 5 minutes in my home every visit, even though she logged the actual drop-in time on the app to be 30 minutes. To me, fudging the time indicates that she made an effort to hide clearly wrong behavior, and without the sensor, I would have trusted that she had done everything that she was paid to do. To be fair to the sitter, she showed up, she fed my cat, and she took care of the litter, but it's not possible for her to have spent much time interacting/playing with my cat, which is largely the reason why I hire a sitter — to ensure my cat doesn't feel abandoned while I'm away. Hiring a sitter is an exercise in trust, because you essentially have a stranger come into your home and hope that they do the right thing. Spending so far below the expected time for each appointment is an almost laughably bad way to break this trust.
