Dog Lover & Experienced Walker
I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember, but because my family was allergic growing up, I never had one of my own. That’s why I’ve always jumped at every chance to care for them, and for the past three years, I’ve been volunteering at an animal shelter working with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have experience with dogs of many different ages, personalities, and energy levels, including puppies and elderly dogs. My main job was walking dogs waiting for their forever homes and helping them feel more comfortable and confident on walks. This gave me experience with all different types of dogs, including dogs who were nervous, energetic, shy, strong on the leash, or still learning how to walk. It taught me how to adjust my approach to each dog and be patient with their individual needs and personality. I really enjoy getting to know each dog and figuring out what makes them comfortable and happy. Whether they want an energetic walk, to explore at their own pace, or simply some companionship, I want every dog to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for!

Safety, trust & environment
For drop-in visits, I follow each cat’s normal routine and the instructions provided by their owner. Depending on their needs, this may include feeding, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, giving medication, and spending time playing or providing companionship. I understand that every cat is different, so I adjust my approach based on their personality and comfort level. Some cats may want lots of attention and playtime, while others may be shy or prefer their space. I am patient and respectful of their boundaries while making sure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos during each visit, so owners know how their cat is doing while they’re away! For dog walks, I make sure to follow each dog’s normal walking routine and any instructions provided by their owner. I adjust each walk based on the dog’s age, energy level, personality, and comfort. I am patient with dogs who may be nervous, energetic, or still learning how to walk on a leash, and I make sure they are safe and comfortable throughout the walk. I also want each walk to be enjoyable for the dog, whether they like to take their time exploring, need a little extra encouragement, or are ready to get some energy out. I’m happy to provide owners with updates and photos after each walk so they know how their dog is doing.

Schedule
As a college student at NYU, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to fit pet care into my daily routine. I can plan my classes and other commitments around scheduled dog walks and drop-in visits, making sure I have enough time to give each dog the attention and care they need. I enjoy having pet care as part of my routine, especially since I’m away from home and love having the opportunity to spend time with animals!

- To make sure your dog has the safest and best experience possible, it’s great to know a few details ahead of time. I always like to ask about their temperament and triggers (like how they react around other dogs, runners, or loud noises) so I can proactively keep them comfortable. I also want to know any physical limits or health needs, such as joint sensitivities, stamina limits in heat, or injury history, so we stick to a pace that feels good for them. Finally, I’ll check on treat rules and dietary restrictions so I know what rewards work best and can safely spoil them after our walk!
