“Mari is sweet, caring, punctual, easy to work with and took incredible care of my pup. There were so many adorable photos of Cordelia throughout the day and best of all was Mari’s reliability and punctuality that made my drop off and pick up a breeze. I could tell my dog was relaxed and happy spending time with her. Highly recommend Mari as human and pup sitter!”

“10000000/5! This was a phenomenal experience for both me and my pet to the point that she didn’t wanna come home lol! Linyan went above and beyond to make sure pebbles was well taken care of and sent PLENTY of pictures and videos. She was phenomenal and I didn’t have to worry about pebbles comfort ability or safety once throughout the day. she also knows that pebble is a high energy dog and walked her the appropriate amount of time even in this cold out of control!!!.”

“Rob is simply amazing. I can’t imagine anyone better than Rob for Wendy’s (our dog) first daycare experience and we’re looking forward to becoming one of Rob’s repeat clients. Shortly after booking, Rob reached out to sort out the details. It becomes obvious right away that Rob is extremely experienced with dogs, and genuinely enjoys making sure they have the best day ever. Wendy was soo happy when I picked her up and no doubt was well exercised as Rob took her out to walks, and plays. Besides the amazing day Wendy had, Rob ensures the humans are updated throughout the day. Rob sent me several photos of Wendy and explained what they’ve been up to, which was reasuring and gave us confidence as this was our first daycare experience. I should also note, Rob is one of the nicest people I ever met! Thank you so much Rob, we’re so lucky to have met you!”

“My puppy Nola stayed with Amy while I was working in the office twice this week and had a great time! I can tell she was thoroughly cared for by Amy and came home happy.”

About: I offer a boutique, limited-client approach to pet care focused on attention, consistency, and trust. I intentionally keep my client list small so each pet receives individualized care and a calm, safe experience. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals, and I pay close attention to each animal’s comfort, behavior, and routine. I’m comfortable supporting puppies who need structure and consistency, as well as senior pets who may need a slower pace, patience, medication support, or extra attentiveness. What sets me apart is a combination of hands-on animal care, strong communication, and a thoughtful, observant approach. I hold a Master’s degree in psychology, which informs how I read behavior, respond calmly, and build trust with both animals and people. I’m also a professional photographer, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to offer attentive, personalized care. I love photographing pets and people, and I enjoy sharing thoughtful photo updates during walks or stays so owners feel connected and reassured. I provide dog walking, pet sitting, and overnights with safety, reliability, and clear communication as priorities. My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care so pets feel comfortable and owners feel at ease. Please note: I have a young child in the home, so it’s important that owners disclose any history of aggression toward people or other dogs, bites within the past 2 years, or behavior concerns such as destructive chewing or indoor spraying/marking. This is rarely an issue, but if a pet damages furniture due to chewing, spraying, or similar behavior, the owner will be responsible for replacement costs. Pets in my care are allowed on furniture, and I’m unable to offer boarding or daycare in my home for dogs that spray/mark indoors. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine alongside my work as a professional photographer, which gives me a flexible schedule for walks, drop ins, and overnight care. I intentionally keep a limited client list so I can provide dependable, personalized attention and maintain consistency for the pets in my care. I am available for weekday, evening, and weekend care, including holiday bookings. I prioritize safety, consistency, and a calm environment while respecting each pet’s routine and comfort level. In a client’s home, I follow feeding, walking, medication, and household instructions carefully, keep doors and leashes secure, and pay close attention to behavior and wellbeing. I maintain a clean, low stress environment, provide thoughtful supervision, and communicate clearly with photo updates and check ins so owners feel informed and reassured.
“Rebecca was wonderful! She agreed to watch Pico on very short notice, which I really appreciated. She made him feel comfortable right away, made sure he ate his food, and he was relaxed enough to settle in and take a nap. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Rebecca again.”

“Chloe was great with my pup - it was a last minute booking for the weekend. Chloe kept me posted throughout the day with updates, pictures and videos. You could tell my pup had a great time - she was passed out the rest of the evening when she came home! Lol”

Ashley was amazing with Sofia! She immediately started playing with her, and Sophia was completely at ease and delighted. You can tell Ashley genuinely loves dogs - she sent me pictures throughout the day of Sofia on walks and playing with her toys. She was also very responsive and flexible and positive in her communications.

We had a wonderful experience! She was incredibly responsive, communicative, and made me feel at ease with regular updates throughout Sunday’s stay. It was so nice to see how comfortable Sunday became. She clearly enjoyed her time there and was noticeably more playful and happy, which gave me a lot of confidence that she was being well cared for. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches and creates a safe, welcoming environment for them. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Christina has been excellent with my puppy Billie! Billie loves going to her house for doggy daycare. Christina is very responsive and accommodating. She always sends lots of pictures/videos and updates during my puppy's daycare sessions. Definitely recommend booking with Christina!

Caroline was fantastic and took such good care of Zuri! This was my first time leaving her with a rover and we both have a bit of separation anxiety, but Caroline made me feel at ease with great communication and frequent updates. I know Zuri is looking forward to staying with her again!

Pratik was a fantastic host! He provided plenty of photos, videos, and updates without being asked, and asked the right questions to give me peace of mind. He was accommodating and friendly, and most importantly I could tell that my dog Nubi felt comfortable in his home and really got along with Pratik. Highly recommend!!

Maria was wonderful with our dog, Lace! She clearly loves dogs and knows how to care for them. Lace was in great hands the whole time, and we loved the regular updates and photos throughout the stay. Bonus - her dog Peppy is absolutely adorable and the perfect companion. We'd trust Maria with Lace again without hesitation.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your New York City commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
