Hello! Thank you for visiting my Rover page. I’m Melanie, an animal lover and pet sitter based in Manhattan. I owned multiple dogs growing up and miss being around animals, which is why I started pet-sitting! A little bit more about me: I currently live in FiDi area and work mostly remotely in tech. I’ve been living in NYC for over a year, and moved here from the Bay Area where I also attended college. I’m originally from LA! My experience: - I’ve owned and worked with various dog breeds (including large dogs!) and temperaments - I love taking long walks with my pet guests and live right by Battery Park - I’ve volunteered at animal shelters for several years, not only walking dogs but also taking care of cleaning and feeding (including cats!) - I’m punctual, dependable, and will always prioritize the well-being of your pet Please feel free to reach out if you need assistance with your pet! Melanie was super kind and looked after Zoro really well, shared regular updates, and took him for long walks which are his favourite! Would love to have Zoro stay with her again :)
Melanie was a fantastic dog sitter for our pup Frankie! She proactively suggested a meet-and-greet, and even went out of her way to pick her up since we had an early morning flight. She took Frankie on long walks by the water and sent lots of photos and videos each day, so we always felt reassured about how she was doing. She was quick to respond and communicative throughout, and we knew Frankie was in great hands. We'll definitely be using her again!

Melanie is a responsible and loving pet caregiver. She has taken care of my 5 year old Samoyed, Koto, many times, and gives her so much love and attention! She follows our detailed instructions, is responsive and communicative, and does an amazing job caring for our high energy and active dog!
