South Brooklyn Woofer Jam!
Note: We have a toddler now! We won't be able to care for dogs that don't get along well with little children. :) Hello! I'm Claire, and my husband Jeff and I have over a decade of experience caring for dogs together. We LOVE all the dogs we meet, and showering them with that love is one of our favorite things to do. We have plenty of space for pups with extra energy to burn some off. We also take long, frequent walks and make daily dog park visits (unless your pup is more of an introvert/apartment play kind of a woofer). Our dog Otis is a hound mix who loves to play but also always knows when his buds need space or a calm cuddle session. We're attentive, loving and energetic, which we think is all a pup ultimately needs (well, that, and plenty of toys to chew on and treats to eat, which we also have). We typically only sit for 1 dog at a time (in addition to Otis), but sometimes we'll do 2 if we already know 1 of them well. Please feel free to message me with any questions. Claire took in our dog Bailey last second for the weekend and was communicative, responsive and Bailey had a great time with her and Otis! We would definitely use her again!
Claire and family were great with Sunny! It was so comforting to know that Sunny was well taken care of and getting lots of attention while we were away. Loved getting pictures and updates. We hate leaving Sunny behind but sometimes you have no choice. Will absolutely not hesitate to leave her with Claire again. She’s a gem!
Our dog Silvie LOVED staying with Claire and her family. They were so kind and Silvie seemed to feel right at home. Claire was very communicative and gave us an update each day on how our pup was doing. We will definitely be using their services again!!
Claire, Otis and family took great care of Lilo, who seemed to love her stay. Scheduling was easy and very flexible
Claire and her family watched our dog Wally for a little over a week during the Christmas holiday and were absolutely AMAZING! From the first meet & greet all the way through pick up, Claire was very warm, responsive, and we could immediately tell that she and her family are true dog lovers who care deeply about taking the absolute best care of their dog Otis and any friends who come visit :) we would recommend them highly to anyone who wants their pup to be in the best hands while away!
Clarie and Otis and their family were great hosts for Lucy, as always! Lucy always has a blast staying with them! Couldn't ask for more.

Schedule
I typically work from home 4 days/week. I can work from home every day if sitting for a pup who needs me :) During my work day, I take frequent breaks to play with and/or love on my woofer friends.

Safety, trust & environment
We create whatever environment your pup needs to feel safe and secure, and we'll follow whatever rules you do in your home. Our default is to let dogs run free, but we can accommodate crates and pens if that's what you prefer. Our dog is allowed on furniture, but we won't let yours if them's the rules.
Pets
A typical day
A typical day involves plenty of playtime, both in our apartment and at the dog park (DiMattina) if your pup is into the dog park. If your pup and ours, Otis, are naturally playful, then we'll let them do their dog thing. If not, we'll play plenty of fetch, tug o war, or whatever games your pup likes. Or maybe your pup just wants pets. We figure it out and oblige!
