Claudia's cat and canine care
Thank you for considering me as a caregiver for your cats, kittens, dogs and other pets. In October 2016, I adopted a 16 year-old cat with multiple medical issues due to severe neglect by her previous owner. Her ailments included hyperthyroidism, hypertension and CKD. Adopting Lily was one of the best and most rewarding things I've ever done. She was a gift. I learned how to pill her 2x/day and administer sub-cutaneous fluids and Vitamin B12 shots. We had more than three happy years together before her kidney issues became acute and we had to say goodbye. After her death, I became a foster volunteer with the Brooklyn Cat Cafe, focusing on cats with medical needs. I'm happy to provide references and will exercise the utmost care with your cats, dogs, and other pets, and your home. I love dogs, and enjoy caring for them in addition to cats. If your pup is good with strangers, please consider me for walks, feeding and play. Although my experience with dogs is somewhat limited, I will give them the same love, attention and individualized care as I do with cats, and will take great care to follow your instructions. Please note: my answers regarding administering medication and taking care of senior and special needs pets primarily applies to cats. My experience providing medication to dogs is limited to putting a pill in their food. Covid 19 precautions: I'm fully vaccinated and boosted (last boosted 10/15/24). When entering your home, I'll take off my shoes at the door and wash my hands. If requested, I will wear a mask during my visits.

Safety, trust & environment
I wash food and water bowls at each visit, scoop the litterbox, and take care not to let pets slip outside. I make sure your house/apt is secure, windows closed and doors locked, and will notify you of any security issues, or any health issues that may arise during my visits. Please note that all my answers regarding administering medication and taking care of senior and special needs pets applies to cats only.

Claudia is the best! She takes such good care of our boys, they were very happy and relaxed when we returned from our trip. She goes out of her way to keep us informed on their well-being, sending lots of photos and videos. She’s very thoughtful and considerate always.
Claudia was incredible with Mocha! She went above and beyond making sure Mocha was cared for while I was out of town and I felt so at ease knowing Mocha was in good hands. Claudia is a natural with cats and her expertise with CKD cats is truly priceless. Mocha and I are so lucky to have found Claudia.

Schedule
I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I'm available most days and early evenings to care for your kitties or walk your pup. I do not walk dogs from different owners at the same time, so your dog (or dogs) will have my full attention.
