Hi! I’m Monika, a lifelong animal lover, experienced cat owner, photographer, and reliable pet caregiver based in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. For the past two years I’ve been raising my British Shorthair cat, Xerneas, and caring for her has taught me how important patience, routine, trust, and attention to detail are when it comes to animals. I understand that every pet has their own personality, boundaries, and comfort level, and I always try to create a calm and reassuring environment for them. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs (I’ve had two dogs and a cat when growing up; they all grew old with my family), and I’m available for cat sitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, companionship, and general pet care. I’ve leash trained my own cat Xerneas and can offer guidance for cat owners interested in safely introducing harnesses or supervised outdoor walks. As a bonus, I have a background in photography and love capturing little candid moments during visits or walks, so I’ll provide photo updates while you’re away. And if you’d like, I’d also be happy to take some more polished portraits of your pets upon additional arrangement between us. I know trusting someone with your animals is a big deal, and I’ll always treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m also a huge plant lover and experienced plant caretaker. Before I got my cat, my plants were my pets. I have many plants at home, including rare ones, and even raised a Monstera Albo from a wet stick. Therefore for longer trips, I’m happy to help with plant care alongside pet visits.
