About: I have been a dog boarder and walker for 3 years before taking a break to raise my daughter but I am back. I have been praised for my diligent and flexibility to make sure that your dog is well taken care of but also has fun. I have taken care of dogs old and young, disabled and hyperactive, and everything in between. As an added bonus, I have an Aussie that will do whatever she can to befriend your pet. I work full time from Monday to Friday so I will typically be a weekend boarder or morning/night walker. I do work on holidays and will adjust my schedule if needed to accommodate needs on a case by case basis I will do my best to replicate the environment in which your dog is most familiar with but generally, they can have free roam around my house. I have a very friendly and playful dog who looks forward to meeting others. I have a crate that can be used for necessary separation or rest.

About: I got my first pet at the age of 5. I’ve raised dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and bearded dragons. I have done basic training with not only my dogs but friends and neighbors as well. I have rescued a few dogs from the streets and rehomed them. I used to do pet boarding for friends and associates. I used to volunteer at an animal clinic where I took care of cats and dogs that were up for adoption for 4 years. I’ve also done horse back riding where I groomed and rode both when I was younger and more recently as an adult. I used to do dog walking where I worked with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I had my first dog for 15 years, towards the end of his time here, I had to administer medication and assist with mobility. I currently have a full time job with a schedule that changes every week. I know my schedule anywhere between a week to a month in advance so I can properly plan for pet care. I also have an active household where your pet will not be left unattended for no more than 2-4 hours of the day. Also depending on when I’m notified I can arrange my days off to have at least 4 days in a row off to provide 24hr service. In my own home they have free rein to roam. I have a bunch of treats so I usually ask if there are dietary restrictions, and I have a park nearby where I take my dogs for exercise, or on a lighter day let them out in the backyard. If I am working in a clients home it depends on what rules they have set. I usually speak to the parent in advance to find out if a towel is available for messy days, if I can give rewards, or even offer playtime inside the home, and much more. I cater to each client differently depending on what the pet needs are.

About: Hello! I’m an ecological archaeologist with a passion for wildlife and animal care. As a lifelong dog owner I began dog sitting and walking at the age of 12 for family friends and neighbors. Throughout high school and college I volunteered at local animal shelters fostering dogs, caring for senior animals, training puppies, and organizing adoption/fundraising events. I also continued dog and cat sitting throughout college and picked it up as a side hustle since moving to NYC. Recently, one family I help out suggested I get on Rover, so here I am! I would love to meet you, your pet, and start getting our steps in! I currently work part-time and have an abundance of free time. I have availability Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Thursday afternoons and Weekends are when I find myself out of the house for extended periods of time but I still fit three walks in a day and am home in the evening for dinner/playtime. I usually do walks in the mornings and early afternoons, but when dog sitting I make sure to get one more walk in the evening. I currently live in an apartment within walking distance of three city parks. I typically give two walks a day while dog sitting to these parks, but that usually depends on the age of the dog and whether more walks are needed. I grew up with a Great Pyrenees, which are very stubborn about their routines, so I follow client instructions as closely as possible to decrease separation anxiety for the dog. For cats, I’ve removed all house plants from my apartment to ensure they don’t get sick. I have multiple toys, scratch pads, and nooks and crannies that cats love to hide/perch on. I usually schedule playtime before dinner to follow their hunt-eat-sleep instinct and keep my door creaked open so they can access me and more importantly my window facing a fire escape with a pigeon nest.
