About: When I was a child my family owned and cared for dogs, horses, bunnies, and chickens which meant I became an animal caretaker at a very young age. In addition to helping to feed, groom, and clean up after our pets, I was aIso responsible for administering our dog’s daily diabetes insulin. My childhood prepared me well for becoming a dog mom to a longhaired dapple Dachshund in early 2021. I cannot imagine my life without him and cannot wait for your furbaby to become his furbuddy! I'm also the proud owner of Boogs & Boop, a small business specializing in pet accessories, with a portion of proceeds donated to supporting animal shelters and dogs in need. This commitment reflects my deep passion for caring for dogs and their well being. I work full time from home, so Dog Mom is my 24/7 job title. I am conveniently located near a park so go on at least two walks a day, weather permitting. DAYCARE CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: 1. Daycare refers to drop off between 8-9am and 5-6pm, a 8-hour period. 2. Pick-up and drop-off times for Daycare must be scheduled in advance through direct message. 2. Late arrivals of more than 30 minutes will be charged an additional $5 per 30 minutes that you are late. Late arrivals risk interfering with other appointments, so this fee helps to accommodate that change. 3. Drop offs before 8am are subject to an Early Drop-off Fee of $10 per hour. 4. Pick up after 6pm are subject to a Late Pick-up Fee of $10 per hour. 5. Pick up after 9pm is considered boarding which is subject to double my Daycare rate. HOUSE-SITTING CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: During house sits, I typically continue my normal schedule with other pet care clients (walks, drop-ins, etc.), so I may be out of the home for portions of the day. If your pet requires near-constant or 24/7 care, please let me know in advance. I may be able to accommodate, but this would require adjustments for my own dog and existing clients and may involve an additional fee. I care for pets in my home since I also have my furbaby to attend to. This means there’s always healthy treats, pee pads, dog wipes, and pet first aid products on hand. I understand that being away from your furbaby can be nerve-wracking, but you can rest assured that I will provide clear communication and photo updates when your pet is in my care. I do not have an attached yard, but the park is a hop, skip, and a jump away, so it’s easy to take potty breaks whenever necessary. PLEASE NOTE: 1. Please arrive with your pet on a leash. I am a strong advocate for pet safety and leash laws. 2. Due to Covid-19 precautions, I do not allow guests into my home, but would be happy to meet you downstairs at drop-off and pick-up times. 3. I will ALWAYS send photos throughout the appointment, even if not directly requested. INCLEMENT WEATHER DISCLAIMER: I take all weather advisories seriously. When the heat index is above 90°F degrees or windchill is below 20°F walks will be cut short for your pet's safety and for my own. Walks will consist of “doing their business” then returning indoors. Regular service is maintained in the rain, but will be postponed due to thunder, lightning, or blizzards. Walks may be early or delayed depending on the forecast. I will always communicate with dog owners if a change of plan is necessary due to dangerous weather and temperatures. Thank you for your understanding.

I am currently out of school until the end of August, which gives me a flexible schedule and full-time availability for pet care. I set aside time during the week to stay active at the gym, but I am otherwise available and able to plan my schedule around each pet's needs. I am committed to providing reliable care, exercise, attention, and companionship for every dog I look after. When caring for pets in my home or a client's home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I make sure they have fresh water, meals on schedule, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I also follow any special instructions, including medications, dietary needs, or preferred routines. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment where pets feel cared for and owners can have peace of mind.

About: I have formally worked at a dog boarding kennel for 3 years where I handle up to 30 dogs in a yard at a time, making sure they all get along and receive ample amounts of love! Through my job I have gained lots of experience with reading dog behavior/body language as well as making sure all their mental and physical needs are met. I have experience working with dogs of all ages and sizes and feel comfortable taking care of almost any dog I meet. I held responsibilities in caring for my 2 family dogs growing up. Since then I've also looked after neighbors and friends dogs numerous times, taking care of things like potty breaks, baths, meal times, and daily medications. Im currently an interning at Maggy London 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from 9-6pm. However, I am available any other time of the day or week. Unfortunately I am living in student housing that does not allow pets in the building. However there are plenty of nearby parks within 5-10 minutes walking distance from my apartment.

About: I've been around dogs since I was a baby. Everyone in my family has had multiple dogs throughout my life, including me. I have experience walking, feeding and taking overall care of all dogs in my family. I'm currently unemployed and looking for a job at a Vet clinic to get more experience in the field! I will be attending school to become a Vet Tech in the spring. I do have a puppy of my own that I need to take time out of the day to be with but I am readily available most of the time and can do multiple drop-ins / walks throughout the day. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby safe. I can also crate your dog or section off a part of the house for them if needed :)

“If you are not booking Shay to sit your dog, you are doing yourselves a disservice. This is the second time we have used Shay's services within the past year; and like the first time, she did not disappoint. Prompt, informative, courteous and most importantly loving to our 2 shihtzus. They in turn respond well to her. Max is temperamental and prone to the occasional nip. But max loves Shay, permitting her to rub his belly (a great sign of trust) Fluffy is always in need of human contact and he got that by sitting next to or on Shay 😆 Shay kept us informed about her arrivals, walks, and feedings. Sending pictures and videos. My girlfriend wanted no one else to take care of our pups while we were away. About: Hi! I'm Janis—a current college student on a gap semester, excited to meet your pet(s)! I’ve been caring for all kinds of animals since I was young—dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish—you name it! Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs— from energetic puppies to senior dogs, as well as large breeds like Pit Bulls, Samoyeds, and Labradors. I am open to making exceptions for some large breeds depending on their behavior and after a meet-and-greet. I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I gained experience walking and handling anxious dogs. My experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant has given me strong familiarity with handling medications, special diets, and injury care. I’m highly attentive, detail-oriented, and comfortable following specific care instructions to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being. I’m very responsive and make sure pet parents always feel connected by sending frequent photo and video updates. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and bond with them through the activities they enjoy most. I’m currently on a gap semester, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I’m able to spend most of the day with them, with exceptions for errands, but they will never be left alone, as I live with family. I provide at least 2–3 walks or potty breaks per day, and I’m happy to adjust based on your pet’s needs and routine. I also accept last-minute bookings whenever possible! I prioritize safety, comfort, and clear communication at all times. I’m primarily based in Brooklyn, where I live in a house with a fenced front yard and provide most of my pet care services. I also occasionally stay at a second home in Pasadena, Maryland with a large fenced backyard and offer care locally there when I’m in the area. I do not transport pets between locations– services are always provided in one consistent environment to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety. During walks, I take a cautious approach by starting in quieter areas with minimal traffic to help pets feel secure, especially in new environments. I always pay close attention to their behavior and surroundings. I live with my family, so pets will never be left alone if I had to run out, and I always communicate this clearly with owners ahead of time. I currently don’t have other pets in my Brooklyn home aside from fish, which allows me to give your pet my full attention. I can also follow instructions like crating or separating pets if needed.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a child. I have experience of working with dogs of any age: little puppies to senior dogs. I enjoy taking care of animals and bringing them joy during walks and play dates. I am currently a on my last year of high school and due to that I have lots of free time. I am usually home by 12pm and have rest of the day to take care of pets. Except Saturdays since I work once a week. I have a doggy park 10 minutes away from my house where other dogs can become a company for a pet. If dog is not allowed/does not like being in contact with other animals the rest of the park can become a great place for walks and play dates.
