About: I have experience taking care of dogs since I was 10. I have owned 2 dogs in the past (male and female) and have experience training them to sit, paw, etc. Love playing with them to make sure they get enough enrichment and taking them on walks! I am a musician, so my schedule varies, but I perform and teach private lessons to students during the week, and also perform on some weekends, so we could work something out depending on your needs! With my experience caring for dogs it was at home with a fenced/gated backyard and with constant supervision! Taking them outside every couple of hours for potty breaks is essential and monitoring their food and water intake to make sure they are happy and healthy is vital!

About: I’ve loved dogs my whole life and have worked with a variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities - from pomeranians to golden retrievers and more. I’ve learned a lot about dogs and dog training through my experience owning a dog. I have a 1.5 year old maltipoo cattle dog mix who I’ve trained on my own to go from a fearful, anxious, reactive dog to a mostly confident, neutral dog. I’m doing rover because my dog loves to have a buddy around (and I do too) ☺️. Please also keep in mind when booking that I am located in the Hayes Valley area and am a public transit girly and use BMW (bart, muni, walk) as my main forms of transportation. I work full time Monday through Friday as a communications manager in transportation planning. I’m in the office two days a week and live within walking distance from my office so am able to go home easily to take my dog out mid day. I’m also available on weekends and often have a slow morning-afternoon at the park 🙂. I’m respectful of space and privacy and am happy to follow any guidance for pet sitting or walking! I’m also happy to take care of your plants and am open to hosting in my home. She is knowledgeable on dog behavior, which really put my mind at ease as he was recently adopted with an unknown background and does not know any commands.
Melissa walked our GSD Female every day for a couple of weeks. She arrived on time each day. Our pup was super excited to see her each day! Our girl is really quite challenging on walks; while she has a great heel she can be dog reactive which requires an alert, responsible, and strong walker. Melissa did a great job. We'll definitely be booking Melissa next time we need a walker!
Anna has been great for our pup and did not disappoint with her performance! Over the course of the summer we used Anna as a regular addition to the walk routine and she integrated into our walking style very well. With a high energy and strong willed dog, it is always a process to make sure someone is a good fit. Anna was able to fit into the role he needed and take him on long and stimulating walks. We are very appreciative of her efforts, consistency, amazing communication, and most importantly reliability. Anna never cancelled or caused any stress about showing up on time for walks. It was a huge boost to our peace of mind with the dog. Next time we need a walker this year or moving forward, Anna will be the top of the list! Claire did a great job with our pup Layla. She was able to accommodate Layla’s needs and was able to give us lots of help on short notice.
