“Erin has been wonderful to work with! Great communication on scheduling and feedback about my dogs. They loved her instantly on our meet and greet! Thank you Erin for taking care of them!”

About: I have experience with dog sitting for a family member on and off if they were out for the day or on a trip out of town for a longer period of time. I also sat for a friend that has both a cat and a dog. My other skills include babysitting (I have done this while dog sitting at the same time) and some experience in senior home care. For a period of 6 months, I took care of another family member managing their tube-feeding, medications, and working together with the nurse team to communicate updates, issues and check in on appointments. I do work online, currently building a business. I try to schedule my work around typical business hours (between 8am-5pm) but can adjust around for pet care sits or visits since I'm remote. I do most tasks Monday-Friday with the most availability being on the weekends, most specifically Saturdays. I am very good with taking directions on pets' needs. If they have a certain schedule or specialized regimen, I make sure to keep track and make sure the same rhythm is kept as if the owner is still with them. I also respect the ground rules of a client's home knowing that they are trusting to me by allowing me the visit. I also like learning the different personalities so I'd like to try and bond with the pets even if it's for a short time!
About: I have 14 year old black lab and have raised her for all 14 years. Taking care of a senior dog has its challenges and I’m proud to say I’ve risen to meet them. I’m looking to walk some dogs in my spare time and meet some cool dogs along the way I have 3 days off a week and am looking for something to fill Sundays - Tuesdays. I can be flexible with my schedule if our proximity meshes well I have a doggy gate in my apt and can isolate my dog if needed. She’s 14 and lived with cats before, shes very chill around cats
“Ludo, who I adopted two months ago, has been adjusting and having some accidents. Bruce has been so communicative and has cleaned up his accidents even though I absolutely do not expect him to and have not asked him to. I cannot express how grateful and relieved I am to have him coming to walk Ludo while I am working. I know my special needs dog, who has seizures, is in great hands!!!!”

“My puppy and I needed someone who is reliable and consistent in terms of scheduling; we got super lucky to have found Brenda! She is communicative and a very kind person. She takes extra steps to get to know your pup and always seem so excited to spend time with him hehe. Very happy that I can rely on Brenda and grateful to have her as our dog walker!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for nearly 20 years. Growing up with three family dogs taught me how to care for pets through every stage of life. From daily walks and playtime to swimming, feeding, and plenty of affection. I also grew up in a neighborhood full of dogs and regularly walked, checked in on, and cared for neighbors' pets while their families were away. Friends and family have continued to trust me with their pets over the years, and for four years I lived with my roommate's dog, helping with daily care and treating him like he was my own. I'm comfortable following routines, adapting to different personalities and energy levels, and making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. As a freelance photographer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I'm typically available Monday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for walks and drop-in visits, and I'm often able to accommodate weekend requests as well. Whether your dog is ready for a long walk or your cat just needs some company and care while you're away, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. You can also expect thoughtful updates and plenty of photos during each visit. I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy while you're away! I understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. I'll always respect your space, follow your pet's routine as closely as possible, and care for your home with the same attention and respect I would my own. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. Whether that means sticking to feeding schedules, refreshing water, cleaning up after walks, scooping the litter box, or simply spending quality time with your pet, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
About: With over 3 years of experience, I’ve provided loving care for dogs of all ages especially senior dogs, including an 8 year old pup I’ve cared for longterm. I’m patient, reliable, and skilled in senior pet support, including understanding their unique needs. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or quiet cuddles, I tailor care to every dog’s personality and age. As a current college student with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of free time throughout the day and week to dedicate to pet care. I plan my classes to allow for consistent availability, making it easy to provide walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and love the balance it brings to my day. You can count on me to be dependable and attentive to your pet’s needs. When pet sitting, I ensure your dog feels safe, loved, and comfortable in their own home. I follow all care instructions closely, keep their routine consistent, and give them lots of attention and affection. You can trust me to treat your pet and home with the utmost care and respect.
About: I enjoy spending time with the puppies, playing and having fun with them, it's something so special. I am a very loving, fun and very careful person because they are not just pets, they are our little children whom we love and we always want to see them happy. I love them. I currently study in the morning from Monday to Thursday. I am available in the afternoons or evenings if you wish. I am also available on weekends. I have a small patio at home. I like to go out for a walk. My son Max is a toy poodle, he is very playful and friendly. I can also come to your home and guide your little or big friend.
“Alijah was communicative and followed all instructions for my puppy's walks! She was very punctual and went above and beyond. I will definitely book again with her in the future when I need more pet care”

About: I am so excited to care for your pets! I grew up in a house full of furry friends, so caring for them is second nature to me. During the last five years that I lived in Bozeman, MT, I became an experienced pet sitter and quickly became the go-to person for friends and neighbors whenever they needed someone reliable to watch their pets or pop in for check-ins. I’m working towards getting a bigger place and being able to adopt a pet of my own one day, so getting to hang out with your animals is truly the best part of my week! Because of that, your pets will get my absolute undivided attention, tons of affection, and the same care I’d give my own pets. I’m currently a law student, so my schedule is way more flexible than the typical 9-to-5 worker. I study from home a lot, which means I have plenty of availability throughout the day for midday drop-ins, flexible potty breaks, or just keeping your pet company. I am also totally focused on hitting my 10,000 steps every day, so you can count on your pet getting some excellent walks. Whether your pet needs a structured routine during the day or just a reliable buddy to break up their afternoon, I can easily fit them right into my daily routine! When it comes to caring for your pet, my top priorities are safety, trust, and following your routine or schedule. I really appreciate clear, detailed instructions, so if you need things done a specific way, I will follow any rules and schedules exactly as they are written. I am a big believer in communication, so you can expect regular updates and photo check-ins from me so you always know how things are going. If I am house-sitting, I will treat your home with total respect.
“Working with Leslie was a great experience! She was super easy to communicate with and great with my crazy Siberian Husky. It was easy to tell she had lots of experience with dogs of all types. I will be definitely be working with Leslie again 10/10 would recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 25 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve done everything from house sitting for friends and neighbors to volunteering with foster homes and rescue centers, and I’ve even worked with veterinary offices, helping with check-ups and sharing pet care knowledge with my community. I know how hard it is to leave your pet with someone new. My goal is simple: to give your animal the same love, attention, and care I’d want for my own. I’d love to meet you and your furry family member! I’m pursuing continuing education in the medical field and love that Rover lets me earn flexible income doing something I’m genuinely passionate about. I prioritize understanding each client’s specific needs and requirements for their pet’s care. I’m patient, kind, and attentive to every detail — going well beyond a standard visit to ensure your pet receives genuine interaction and personalized attention. I make it my responsibility to keep your pet safe and secure throughout my visit, and to leave everything in order so your animal is comfortable and cared for until we meet again.
“Sarah was amazing with my dog! He was very anxious and had some adjustment issues, and she communicated with me through it all and was very patient managing through it. I would highly recommend her!”

About: I have a few years of experience being a co-parent to a high-maintenance Aussiedoodle, and that has shown me how much I love spoiling our four-legged friends. I have experience administering oral medications, as well as rooming with and serving as the occasional food source for a few felines in my time. :) I’m all about keeping things easy and stress-free for you and your pets! My digital calendar keeps me going between my part-time job and the rest of my day, so I understand the importance of sticking to a schedule. Your pet won’t miss a single meal nor walk. Long walks or chill couch hangs, whatever your special friend needs to feel happy and healthy. Every animal is unique and I’m happy to cater to their personality type. I take my cues from your pet to make sure they feel totally at home. If they’re the 'let's play all day' type, I’m ready for adventure; if they’re the 'please just ignore me until dinner' type, I’m great at providing chill, low-key companionship. I know how difficult it is to be away from your pets, and I’m more than happy to provide regular updates and photos to ease that anxiety.

- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
