About: I have several years of pet care experience, starting with my own 10-year-old German Shepherd who currently lives with my parents in California. I’ve also been a Rover sitter, caring for dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments. This has given me a strong understanding of different canine needs and behaviors, and I always prioritize creating a safe, comfortable environment tailored to each dog’s personality. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I can take dogs out for a morning walk before work, a longer 30-minute to 1-hour walk in the afternoon, and another walk before bedtime. I’d love to ensure your dog gets the care, attention, and exercise they need throughout the day! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, needs, and preferences so they feel secure and cared for. I make sure their environment is clean, calm, and free of hazards—no access to unsafe foods, wires, or small objects.
“Marie-Rose was the best Rover cat sitter I’ve ever had! She is very kind and took extremely good care of my cat Dot. She is detail oriented, making sure to ask specific questions about logistics, pet care/cleaning, and how to make your pet the happiest they can be. I received many amazing videos and photos of Dot, which showed her playing, getting treats, and overall attention. Marie-Rose even left Dot a new wand toy and left a hand-written note with a drawing of Dot, which really warmed my heart. Highly recommend you book Marie-Rose in the future!!”

“Annie was great with my cat! She was early for the visit (which she asked me about and I said was more than ok) and gave Mako some great cuddles. She took lots of photos too!”

“Dalara was incredible! Totally put our mind at ease with our dogs. They were so professional, transparent, and wonderful to our dogs. Especially given the last minute nature of our request - they made it work! So grateful and I highly recommend them.”

About: I have cared for animals for over a decade, with international pet sitting experience! I am well equipped to care for puppies and senior dogs, as well as cats, amphibians and reptiles, and everything in between. I’m currently working part time, so my schedule is very flexible for pet sitting and caregiving. I’m open to any and all sits! I like administer proper enrichment/play time for animals, while making sure they are getting their daily exercise and attention. I can guarantee adequate walks and play time that is specific to your breed.

About: I have a few years of experience being a co-parent to a high-maintenance Aussiedoodle, and that has shown me how much I love spoiling our four-legged friends. I have experience administering oral medications, as well as rooming with and serving as the occasional food source for a few felines in my time. :) I’m all about keeping things easy and stress-free for you and your pets! My digital calendar keeps me going between my part-time job and the rest of my day, so I understand the importance of sticking to a schedule. Your pet won’t miss a single meal nor walk. Long walks or chill couch hangs, whatever your special friend needs to feel happy and healthy. Every animal is unique and I’m happy to cater to their personality type. I take my cues from your pet to make sure they feel totally at home. If they’re the 'let's play all day' type, I’m ready for adventure; if they’re the 'please just ignore me until dinner' type, I’m great at providing chill, low-key companionship. I know how difficult it is to be away from your pets, and I’m more than happy to provide regular updates and photos to ease that anxiety.
“Erin was a great babysitter for our cat! She provided excellent updates on Luna and was very helpful when she got a blister while we were out of town. And seeing Luna’s mannerisms in the photo updates, I see that she loved Erin and had lots of fun with her! I definitely recommend!”

“Kennedy did a great job of watching our cats while we were on vacation. She was prompt, respectful of our home, and ensured the cats were well taken care of. I plan to use her services again the next time we leave town!”

“I’m so grateful Leslie took care of my anxious cat, Doja, and made sure she felt safe! Even though I had a last minute request, Leslie was super flexible and made sure she could fulfill all of Doja’s needs! She was a great communicator and followed any directions to a T. I’d happily have her back to sit anytime.”

“Val did a great job and I was highly impressed. This was my first river experience and Val was incredibly reassuring, caring, and helpful. She spent time playing and taking care of my cats and gave me detailed updates. I really appreciated her attention to my cats such as how well they ate or if they didn’t eat and how she addressed that. She also sent me lots of pictures and I could tell my cats trusted her too. I would definitely recommended Val.”

About: Lifelong cat owner currently living with two cats of my own. I've had cats my whole life and understand their personalities deeply. Equally comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I approach every sit with patience, genuine care, and regular communication with owners My game studio is on summer break so I have dedicated time to give your pet genuine attention, not just a quick check-in between obligations. I do my own cat check-ins daily but otherwise I'm fully present and available throughout the day. When I'm in your home I treat it with complete respect. You'll get photo updates and honest communication throughout the stay. I always do a meet and greet first so your pet is comfortable with me before day one, and so I fully understand their routine, quirks, and needs. No surprises.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk to burn off energy or your cat needs calm, attentive care while you’re away, I’m here to help! I have worked with dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments including senior pets and am able to administer most medication if needed. Pet care fits very well into my schedule because I work part-time, which gives me flexibility and availability throughout the week. I’m able to plan my work hours around scheduled walks and house sitting visits, ensuring your pets receive consistent, reliable care. For dog walking, I’m available for morning, midday, and evening walks depending on your needs. For cat house sitting, my flexible schedule allows me to spend quality time in your home, maintain your pet’s routine, and provide attentive care rather than rushing in and out. I tailor my care depending on whether I’m providing dog walking or cat house sitting, but my priority is always your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. For dog walking, I make sure each walk matches your dog’s energy level and personality. I use secure leashing practices, avoid unsafe areas, and always monitor for signs of stress or overheating. I provide fresh water after walks, wipe paws if needed, and make sure your dog is settled comfortably before I leave. You’ll receive updates and photos so you know how the walk went. For cat house sitting, I focus on maintaining your cat’s normal routine to reduce stress while you’re away. I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and affection based on their comfort level. I also administer medications if needed and keep their environment clean and calm. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and can handle small tasks like bringing in mail or watering plants. Whether I’m caring for pets in your home or on walks, I prioritize communication, consistency, and treating every animal as if they were my own.
“Xiomina has been looking after our 3 cats and occasionally lil pup for a few years now. Would reconmend to all first time and long time rover users! When we come home the furry brats are all well taken care of and we always get cute update photos. Xiomina has always been super helpful and trust them 100%!”

“Jacob was a great sitter for my cat, Babka! He was on time and took nice care of Babka, taking care of all the basics (cleaning the litter box, feeding, etc.) without a problem. He also did a great job of determining what Babka needed at each visit most, whether it was lots of play or pets.”

Annie was amazing! She took meticulous care of my two cats (went above and beyond and fixed their broken water fountain while I was out, kept the cats' mess as tidy as possible), sent me AMAZING pictures, and was a great communicator. I felt absolutely worry-free as she took care of my cats, and I would absolutely recommend her!!

Andy has been taking care of our kitties for quite some time now and we are so grateful for his continued care and diligence! One of our cats has cancer and needs ear medicine. She isn’t thrilled with the medication and Andy has been very persistent about making sure she gets it. Thank you for your patience and care!

Carter is the best! He truly went above and beyond in every way. He was incredibly thoughtful, attentive, and made sure our cats received excellent care, attention, and love. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands, and we would absolutely book with him again.

Sherlock was in great hands while I was away. I really appreciated the updates and photos, and it was obvious he was well cared for and comfortable. It’s such a relief to know I can travel without worrying about him. I would happily book again and highly recommend this sitter!

Morgan was absolutely fantastic. One of our cats is a bit slow to open up, and she gave her plenty of time to warm up at her own pace. Within just a couple days, both our cats were asking her for attention and coming out for playtime. We came home to very happy cats and a very clean apartment. I asked if she could water some plants and pick up some packages as well. All our packages were brought in safely and all plants were flourishing when we returned. I’d highly recommend Morgan if you need a responsible cat and house sitter who is amazing at communication.

Jillian was super nice and communicative - we were out of town for our wedding weekend and needed someone to do drop in visits for our two cats, and she was perfect! It was a short trip but the kitties were clearly happy and well cared for. Would absolutely book her again!

Once again, Natalia did an amazing job taking care of my cat. She’s always attentive, very communicative, and makes sure everything is taken care of while I’m away. She is incredibly sweet, dependable, and someone I trust completely. I’m so grateful to have found her.❤️

Salena was wonderful with my two cats! She was attentive, sent lots of photos, and left my place looking great when I got back. She was really easy to communicate with and asked great questions during the meet and greet too. I would definitely have her look after my cats again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
