About: I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm with every animal you can imagine. With that experience, I learned how to be nurturing, loving, and patient. Not to toot my own horn, but I have not met a dog or cat that does not like me. I have experience giving pets medication, as well. I work about 40 hours a week in the Fine Arts, but I set my own hours so I am pretty flexible. I do not have a car, but I always get where I need to go. I am very good at following directions and no one knows your pet better than you do. I like to think that I bring a calm cool and collected energy that pets can sense.

“Ray and Christian took such great care of our two dogs while we were out of town. They sent lots of pupdates and cute pictures, let us know when they were running low on food, and the dogs were happy and healthy when we returned. We would absolutely book again!”

About: Hi! I'm Rachael! I've been casually pet sitting for friends, family, & acquaintances for several years, and happily care for pets like they are my own. I am a psychotherapist with a background in behavior analysis and education in animal behavior (my concentration in college!). I deeply care about the ethical and compassionate care of animals, and take very seriously the task of caring for your pets! I really enjoy being with animals, and feel obligated to ensure they are getting the maximum enrichment they can from our time together. I'm very attuned to pets and the sometimes subtle behaviors they use to communicate with us. I'm currently working remotely and often have large gaps in my schedule where I can drop in to feed your cats or take your dogs on a good, long walk! I'm usually only available for drop ins on weekends, but am happy to do overnights during the week. I focus on exercise, engagement, and safety of your pets, beyond the basics of survival. I know animals can take a long time to warm up, so I do my best to give them space while also offering moments to connect with me safely. I also know that choosing a pet sitter is vulnerable and risky, so I ensure thorough follow-through, engagement and kindness to help you feel confident in your time away from your pets!
“Chris is very reliable and communicative. I know he will take good care of my rambunctious puppy, and give him some nice playtime. And Archie loves to see Chris!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for nearly 20 years. Growing up with three family dogs taught me how to care for pets through every stage of life. From daily walks and playtime to swimming, feeding, and plenty of affection. I also grew up in a neighborhood full of dogs and regularly walked, checked in on, and cared for neighbors' pets while their families were away. Friends and family have continued to trust me with their pets over the years, and for four years I lived with my roommate's dog, helping with daily care and treating him like he was my own. I'm comfortable following routines, adapting to different personalities and energy levels, and making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. As a freelance photographer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I'm typically available Monday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for walks and drop-in visits, and I'm often able to accommodate weekend requests as well. Whether your dog is ready for a long walk or your cat just needs some company and care while you're away, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. You can also expect thoughtful updates and plenty of photos during each visit. I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy while you're away! I understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. I'll always respect your space, follow your pet's routine as closely as possible, and care for your home with the same attention and respect I would my own. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. Whether that means sticking to feeding schedules, refreshing water, cleaning up after walks, scooping the litter box, or simply spending quality time with your pet, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
“Kennedy did everything we could have asked for and more when checking in on our pups! She was responsive to our messages/requests and informative in her reports, even letting us know when she saw aberrant behavior that might indicate a sore. Would absolutely rely on her again!”

About: I've been caring for dogs since I was 10! I grew up with multiple dogs and even taught them fun tricks, one of them learned how to skateboard. 🛹🐶 I work fully remote and only accept one dog (or one family's pets) at a time, so your pup will receive plenty of attention in a calm, loving home. I treat every dog like family and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. 🤍 I work fully remote, so I'm home throughout the day and have a flexible schedule to give your pet lots of attention. My evenings and weekends are flexible too, so they'll have plenty of company and care. 🤍 I have a clean, pet-friendly home and don't have any pets of my own, so your pet will have my full attention. I only care for one pet (or one family's pets) at a time to provide a calm, comfortable environment.
“Erin was a great babysitter for our cat! She provided excellent updates on Luna and was very helpful when she got a blister while we were out of town. And seeing Luna’s mannerisms in the photo updates, I see that she loved Erin and had lots of fun with her! I definitely recommend!”

“Marie was absolutely wonderful! Communicative, reliable, and gave Eevee lots of care and attention. We will definitely be booking Marie again and could not recommend her more!”

“Val is a regular for Wally now and he absolutely loves having her around. She is always consistent with communication, provides amazing updates and looks after Wally/my home like her own. For this visit Val also agreed to extend the stay last minute which made it possible for me to extend my travel, this was super helpful and much appreciated! Love having you around to take care of Wally and thank you again for all your help :) couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!”

“Dalara and Jack have been my cat sitters for nearly a year now and I have loved working with them every time. They’re very communicative and attentive with my babies, who love them dearly. Dalara and Jack go out of their way to give my cats extra time and attention and play and also take care of the house while I’m away, unprompted. They’re wonderful, thoughtful, and go above and beyond! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Your fur babies will be absolutely adored and pampered :)”

I trust my complete confidence in animal care, behavior, and training to ensure all of our kiddos will remain happy, healthy and taken care of to the utmost potential! I do currently work Full Time at a Doggy Daycare in the downtown Seattle area and I have for the past five years! I adore all breeds and sizes and love to fit all types of pet care into my routines. It all works out as I fit most of my Rover work on my days off or am able to stop in about every 3 hours during my 8 hour shift and do a potty break/play break for a bit! I have plenty of space for your lovely pup/pups to play as well as my own puppy who loves other dogs and would love a friend! As well as taking him on walks with your dog as a way to get out on a fun little outing with a buddy. A wide variety of one to three ingredient treats as well as allergen safe treats (will always check with parents first!) for a fun little snack.
About: When I was a kid, me and my bestie were neighbors. We walked her dog together for years. I have been dog sitting for friends a lot. I have lived with a cat for 3 years, in the beginning it was my roommate’s ragdoll, and now my own Persian cat. I just finished an internship and waiting for the job offer to be available, so I am available all day. While taking care of my friends’s cat, I find myself enjoying this job. I used to be a biologist work in a laboratory, so I am very detail oriented and organized. I will keep your pets safe, as well as your home, always clean after use and lock the facility.

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember and I’ve never lived without them. Over the years, I’ve raised and trained countless dogs, birds, and more litters of kittens than I can count. Currently, I share my home with Whidbey, my friendly male Ragdoll kitten. He’s incredibly social with both cats and dogs and enjoys an active social life with his furry friends. Right now, I have extra time on my hands as I prepare to switch careers—and while my husband has (wisely) vetoed my dream of turning our home into a zoo, pet sitting feels like the perfect win-win. Whether your fur baby needs cuddles, calm companionship, or a bit of playful attention, they’ll be in safe, loving hands with me. I can’t wait to meet them! I'm currently in a career transition phase, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time and energy to dedicate to pet care. I’m home most of the day, so your pet will have lots of attention, playtime, and supervision—whether they're staying overnight or just dropping in for a visit. Pet care easily fits into my daily routine and is something I truly enjoy. From morning snuggles to evening play sessions, I'm here to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for throughout the day. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priorities. In my home, I provide a clean, cozy, and pet-friendly environment where your cat or small dog can feel relaxed and secure. I closely monitor interactions, especially during meet-and-greets or first-time stays, and I’m happy to separate pets until needed to ensure everyone feels safe. My Ragdoll kitten, Whidbey, is very gentle and social—used to being around other cats and dogs. Whether they need space, extra cuddles, or quiet time, I’m happy to adapt. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I treat your space with respect and keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and check-ins so you can feel totally at ease while you're away.

Marie-Rose was absolutely amazing, and I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter! From our very first meeting, she was professional, organized, and genuinely cared about making sure she understood every detail of my cat's routine. She took careful notes about my cat's care, preferences, and feeding schedule, which immediately gave me confidence that my pet was in excellent hands. While I was away, Marie-Rose kept me updated with thoughtful messages, along with plenty of pictures and videos. Seeing my cat happy, relaxed, and well cared for every day gave me complete peace of mind. I never once worried about my cat because I knew she was receiving exceptional care. It's clear that Marie-Rose truly loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. She is reliable, attentive, compassionate, and goes above and beyond to ensure both pets and their owners feel comfortable. I wholeheartedly recommend Marie-Rose to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional pet sitter. She exceeded all of my expectations, and I will absolutely be using her services again. Five stars isn't enough! Julia

Claire is an amazing pet sitter! Claire looks after our kitties quite often and she is always reliable, on time, and takes such great care our girls. She spends time playing with them and gives them plenty of love and attention while we're away, so we know they're happy and well cared for. It gives us real peace of mind knowing Claire is looking after them, and we couldn't recommend her more highly. Thanks so much Claire!

I had another wonderful experience with boarding my kitty at Sudharshini's home. Her sweet boy, Whidbey, and my cat have become great buddies. It is so comforting to know that he is having fun and being cared for when I am out of town. She sends me the most adorable photos and videos and is proactive and reliable at communicating. I highly recommend and will continue to use her as my go-to for boarding my kitty!

Zephyr was absolutely amazing to work with. Checked in about more safety-related things than any other pet sitter we've worked with. Really appreciated the photos of not only our cat but also the space. Not that I didn't trust them I appreciated even just photos of the litter/food/water since I haven't had that before. Thank you again zephyr!

We were so nervous about leaving our two cats at home for a week-long trip for the first time, but hiring Carter was the best decision we could have made. He is an absolutely phenomenal sitter! One of our cats has some pretty strict medical needs, requiring nightly heart medication and twice-daily supplements mixed into her food. Carter handled all of her extra care flawlessly. His communication was top-notch. His Rover cards were incredibly detailed, full of great pictures, and he gave us plenty of heads-up if we were running low on anything like cat food, litter, or trash bags. He was always on time and proactively let us know way in advance if his schedule shifted at all. On top of the amazing pet care, Carter went above and beyond with our house. He kept the litter boxes clean, vacuumed whenever things got messy, brought in our packages, and even went out of his way to fix a couple of poorly assembled chairs for us! If you're looking for someone reliable who truly cares, book him. He completely deserves every single one of his 5-star reviews. We came home to a clean house and happy cats, and we will absolutely be booking with him again.

Ryan is definitely one of our cats favorite sitters- she’s so good at doing playtime with them and they always look like they’re having a great time with her. I wish I knew her secrets haha my cats are so lazy with me Would definitely recommend Ryan G! Polite and responsible cat sitter 🐈🐈⬛

Highly recommend Aubrey! Our original sitter cancelled right before an 11-day trip over the 4th of July weekend split between California and an international destination, leaving us scrambling. It was our first time using Rover, and while it can be be stressful trusting a total stranger with your home and beloved pet on such short notice during a major holiday, but Aubrey completely earned our trust from day one. She was incredibly consistent and reliable, showing up at the times we agreed upon. She visited our cat, Dash, twice a day and handled his daily medication. Excellent communication-every single visit included detailed updates on Dash's mood, food, water, litter, alongside wonderful photo updates. We were able to enjoy our vacation across different time zones knowing Dash and our home were in such capable and loving hands. Aubrey is now officially part of our trusted cat family friends! Five Stars!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Seattle. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
