About: I've been around cats and dogs most of my life and have a deep love and affection for them. As well, I recently started volunteering at Seattle Humane. I'm currently doing this part time, so I'm pretty flexible on availability on weekdays between Monday-Thursday. Though, for drop-ins, my clearest availability is between 8am-2pm. But again, I’m flexible. I can do overnights between 5pm-9am. I try to bring a calm, kind demeanor to the environment to put the cat(s) at ease; I will scoop the litter box, feed them, and if they show interest, play with them, and if not, I give them their space!

I like to help keep the home clean and safe by scooping litter boxes daily (sometimes twice per day), pick up wrappers or food items immediately, wipe paws if needed after walks, and keep doors locked and secure at all times 6. Respect their boundaries This is a big one for trust: I try not to force picking up or petting and watch for signs like tail flicking, hiding, freezing, or overstimulation. I let them decompress alone if needed. 7. I would give 10 stars if I could. Ning is the cat whisperer! We have one spicy calico who is very particular with new people. Ning won her over in record time (IMMEDIATELY) and got her showing her belly even. Our orange boy is playful and Ning matched his energy. She sends the best pictures and updates, so you’re always reassured your cats are in the best care while you’re away.
This is the second time Mackenzie has watched and visited our cats. She is amazing! Her pictures, communication, and following our advice for each cat is top notch. We have four cats and a lot of litter boxes. She took care of those messes daily and still found time to pet and play with each cat. I am a bit anxious leaving them, but she is a wonderful sitter and made me feel like she truly loves each one of the cats :). I will continue to book her in the future and anyone reading this should too!
Lydia was wonderful with our two cats while we were away! She went above and beyond during every check-in, always staying for the full scheduled time and making sure our cats had plenty of attention and playtime. Our cats are normally pretty wary of strangers, but they quickly warmed up to Lydia, which was great to see. She also did an excellent job keeping the litter box area tidy and their water dishes clean. We felt very comfortable knowing they were in such good hands and would absolutely recommend Lydia!
