About: I have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve been the reliable friend people turn to when they’re away. Some of the routines look like: stopping in to feed pets, provide fresh water, clean up, and offer enrichment and play, and companionship so they feel comfortable and not alone. I also have experience house sitting and staying overnight for up to four nights, making sure pets feel safe, settled, and cared for in their own environment. I’ve been around animals since I was about 10 years old, including golden retrievers, labs, and cats, and I often ask to say hello when I see a furry friend out and about. I welcome different temperaments and adjust myself to meet them where they’re comfortable. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and aim to provide calm, attentive, and loving care so fur babies feel secure, seen, and cared for while their best friend is away. I am available all days of the week, between 9:00 am-6:00 pm, can provide overnight care, please send me a message. (Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat) The goal is calm, consistency, and reading pet cues. 1. Follow their routine exactly Pets feel safest with predictability. Feed at the same times Use the same food amounts and bowls Keep walks/playtime similar to what they’re used to Even small changes can make sensitive pets anxious. 2. Do a careful first check-in When I arrive: I look for water level, food, accidents, or damage I observe their behavior (hiding, excited, nervous, clingy) I let them come to me rather than forcing interaction. 3. I arrive with a calm presence Many pets don’t need constant stimulation, they need steady companionship. I prefer to sit quietly near them, talk softly and let shy pets approach me on their terms 4. Exercise + enrichment (tailored to each pet) Dogs: walks, sniff time, fetch (if they enjoy it) Cats: wand toys, gentle play, window time I may suggest to keep sessions short if they get overstimulated 5. I like to help keep the home clean and safe by scooping litter boxes daily (sometimes twice per day), pick up wrappers or food items immediately, wipe paws if needed after walks, and keep doors locked and secure at all times 6. Respect their boundaries This is a big one for trust: I try not to force picking up or petting and watch for signs like tail flicking, hiding, freezing, or overstimulation. I let them decompress alone if needed. 7. I love the saying, “Leave things better than you found them” My fur friends owners say they appreciate: Clean bowls and litter areas, a tidy feeding/walking area, and the notes about how they did during the visit 8. I communicate clearly Send updates like: “Fed, walked, and doing well,” Photos (if allowed) and any changes in behavior or appetite
About: I've been around cats and dogs most of my life and have a deep love and affection for them. As well, I recently started volunteering at Seattle Humane. I'm currently doing this part time, so I'm pretty flexible on availability on weekdays between Monday-Thursday. Though, for drop-ins, my clearest availability is between 8am-2pm. But again, I’m flexible. I can do overnights between 5pm-9am. I try to bring a calm, kind demeanor to the environment to put the cat(s) at ease; I will scoop the litter box, feed them, and if they show interest, play with them, and if not, I give them their space!
“Excellent sitter! Provided honest and prompt updates after each check-in/visit, and always included several photos of the cat! 10/10 would recommend. Her love for animals is demonstrated”

“Alejandro was wonderful with Tiago! Alejandro is super responsible and took lots of adorable pictures of Tiago during his drop ins. Tiago was immediately comfortable with him and loves having his daily visits from his new best bud.”

“Did a great job introducing herself to my shy cat and gave him plenty of attention after he quickly warmed up to her! I could tell from the pictures she sent that my cat was loving her company.”

“Ani was a really great sitter for our two dogs when we were away on a trip for a few days! She’s super friendly and the pups loved her. She provided lots of pics and a summary of each of her visits, and was super flexible for us when plans changed, definitely wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again next time we are out of town!”

“Allie was an awesome cat sitter for the weekend i was away. My younger cat, Mylo, even made friends with her, which is amazing because he’s usually nervous with new people. I came home to happy cats and a tidy home, and I’d gladly book her again.”

“Isabella took exceptionally great care of my little kitty! The notes she always left after each check-in were very thorough, and I loved all of the pictures she sent. She was very accommodating and helpful, and really went the extra mile! I would absolutely recommend her as a sitter for anyone who wants complete peace of mind while they are away on a trip 😁”

“Hunter was so reassuring when she checked on our new puppy Willow while we were at work. Willow is 3.5 months old and too young to be left home in the crate for long periods of time. Hunter checked on willow, played with her outside, and even cleaned up after a small accident in her crate. We received pictures and a full report after her 30 minute stay with Willow. We will definitely be using Hunter again!”
“Yijun did a great job looking after my cat! She would take care of all his necessities and spend time with him. She also always communicated what she did, and sent photos and videos!”

“Caroline did a great job of winning over my skittish cat! She was reliable and her feedback made me feel reassured that all was going well. I would not hesitate to use her again.”

“Jasmin was really amazing with my cats. They're feral rescues, so they're not used to being around other people and she was able to handle them very well. I had to change instructions on her a few times because they didn't want to eat while I was gone, and she was always responsive and executed my requests perfectly. Jasmin also takes like a million photos. And while I don't need a picture proving you scooped the litter, I appreciate the idea that you're making sure I have peace of mind and that everything is taken care of. Thanks for letting me focus on my trip!”

“Bailey was one of the best Rovers I've used! She cared for my cat over 1.5 weeks, provided detailed updates, great photos, and showed self-sufficiency/good judgement when I wasn't available. I would happily book again!”

“Lydia is absolutely wonderful. We have hired her multiple times to watch after our cats while we travel, and we will keep doing so. She is responsible, reliable, and kind to our cats! 11/10 recommended.”

“Ally treated my two cats like her own. She sent detailed updates and pictures of my kitties, sent updates about any issues with the litter robot, took extra time to play with my shy kitty (snowflakes) until she warmed up. This is the second time Mackenzie has watched and visited our cats. She is amazing! Her pictures, communication, and following our advice for each cat is top notch. We have four cats and a lot of litter boxes. She took care of those messes daily and still found time to pet and play with each cat. I am a bit anxious leaving them, but she is a wonderful sitter and made me feel like she truly loves each one of the cats :). I will continue to book her in the future and anyone reading this should too!

Lydia was wonderful with our two cats while we were away! She went above and beyond during every check-in, always staying for the full scheduled time and making sure our cats had plenty of attention and playtime. Our cats are normally pretty wary of strangers, but they quickly warmed up to Lydia, which was great to see. She also did an excellent job keeping the litter box area tidy and their water dishes clean. We felt very comfortable knowing they were in such good hands and would absolutely recommend Lydia!

Hongfei took great care of my cats over the weekend. He was very attentive, spent plenty of time playing with them, and made sure they were comfortable and happy. He even cleaned up a hairball when she threw up, which I really appreciated. It was clear that he genuinely cares about cats. I would definitely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.

Vicky was an absolutely amazing pet sitter! From the very beginning, she treated our pets with so much love, patience, and care. She sent us thoughtful daily updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind and let us see how happy they were while we were away. She quickly won both of our pets’ hearts, and it was clear they felt comfortable, safe, and loved with her. We feel incredibly lucky to have found someone who cared for them as if they were her own. We couldn’t recommend Vicky more highly, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again. Thank you, Vicky, for taking such wonderful care of our furry family!

Mari is fantastic! I was in a bind with a last-minute trip and had no one to look after my kitties. I needed someone quick, but as a first-time user of a pet-sitting service, I was a bit nervous. Mari made everything so easy. Her communication was top-notch—she kept me updated with plenty of photos, and the kitties absolutely loved her. Thank you, Mari, for taking such great care of them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
