“I’d absolutely recommend James. He’s super responsive, and even though my dog can be slow to warm up to new people, James was patient and willing to keep trying. He really supported us while I was on a trip. 100% recommended.”

“Aria is reliable and good with communication. She went above and beyond offering to water my plants and bringing in my package. Coconut is a cat with a dog personality, and Aria is a perfect fit for my playful baby.”

“Lydia has watched our cats two or three times now, and we’ll absolutely keep coming back to her. She is amazing with our cats. She is extremely attentive and kind towards them, and we can absolutely tell our two girls trust and like spending time with her. 100% recommend her!”

“Yijun was amazing! She was very responsible — refilled my cat’s water, cleaned the litter box, checked on my cat’s well-being, and sent me videos and photos to share updates. She truly loves cats and patiently played with mine. I highly recommend Yijun.”

“Can’t leave a good enough review… Mariannette has been a huge blessing for my wife and I, and our dog of course- who absolutely adores her. Dependable, friendly, and takes GREAT care of your beloved pets- highly recommend her! Thank you, Mariannette!!”

“Alexa did a fantastic job looking after my two kitties while I was away for a couple of weeks. I highly recommend her for anyone stressed about making sure their cats are taken care of while out of town!”

“Our dog loves to hangout with Shana for her drop in visits. Shana is always above and beyond in communication and her friendly and calm energy is great match for our high energy dog!”

“Ani was a really great sitter for our two dogs when we were away on a trip for a few days! She’s super friendly and the pups loved her. She provided lots of pics and a summary of each of her visits, and was super flexible for us when plans changed, definitely wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again next time we are out of town!”

“Bailey did an absolutely incredible job taking care of my cat Benny while I was out of town over the holidays! She was super communicative, took lots of photos and left detailed updates, and I can tell Benny had a blast with her! Bailey was an absolute sweetheart and I would recommend her to anyone, and will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future!!”

“Carly was amazing! Very flexible as I had to schedule the visits last minute. Excellent communication and she took lots of photos of my two boys! My one cat is very skittish and tends to hide around new people but he came out for her and let her give him pets! They clearly liked and trusted her. Very grateful to know they were taken such good care of while I was away. Will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Out of all the cat sitters I have tried (on or off Rover), Leelay stands above all with her genuine love for any cats. I have two cats who each have different views when it comes to a stranger caring for them. Leelay took her time to understand and bond with each of them in a way where I believe my cats forgot about my disappearance. When I came back home, my cats acted like nothing had happened which we all know is probably the best scenario for fidgety cats. Thank you Leelay for all you have done!!”

“Noah was amazing with our two pups while we were away on vacation. He gave us confidence in his care from the moment we introduced him to the dogs. Will be using him for all of our trips!”

“This was our first time getting a sitter so I was super nervous, but Jasmin was a godsend. She was punctual, sent us detailed visit info and pictures and went above and beyond for the well-being of our kitty. Our kitty took to her immediately, which gave us extra assurance that she was in good, experienced hands!”

About: I make sure to match with the dog’s energy, depending on whether they want a walk, play, or just a steady presence. I provide updates with photos and videos so that you can see how your baby is actually doing. I’ll make sure to keep their tails wagging while their favorite human is away (and hopefully become their second favorite)! There is always at least a person in the house to take care of the pets, with the exception of a few hours if we go out together on evenings or weekends. I am personally available almost all day everyday to keep your dogs comfortable. As my dog and cat’s favorite human, I always make sure they are doing well and dedicated daily play time to each of them individually. I have a fenced background so the dogs can play outside as long as they want to. If I go to your house, I will also play with them in addition to feeding, taking them to potty, etc. I treat my pets as my babies, and will make sure your babies are also taken care of when you are not around.

One of the benefits of the area that I live is that we are surrounded by nature so there are many animals here. Sometimes when I open my front door in the morning there are deer in front of my gate waiting to see what will happen at breakfast time. I have slowly grown my school into one of the largest language schools in Slovakia. I currently have a staff of over 50 teachers teaching English, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian as well as Slovak for the many foreign managers living and working in multinational companies. My school cooperates with most of the large multinational companies in the area. I also cooperate quite closely with the local and state police departments as well as the mayor and city council all of whom are my students. While I will be house-sitting for you I will be managing my private Language School online. I will always have time to take care of the homes that I sit for as well as the pets regular routine. I always try my best to maintain the same pet schedule. 1st of all I LOVE ANIMALS! Our home in Slovakia is located up on the hill in the woods overlooking the lake. We have a large orchard and our nearest neighbor is about 300 m from us. We currently have 7 cats in various phases of either living, hanging out, or adding us to their busy social/feeding routine. During the Summer I take care of 2 friends' homes so I take care of their dogs, cats, fish, and even a very old turtle. as well. I travel to the U.S. regularly to visit friends/family each and this website is a perfect fit for my lifestyle as I manage my school remotely. To be quite honest, for all of the travelling I have done over the past 30 years, I have not travelled nor experienced the U.S. much which is another reason I have joined this website. I thought it would be a great way to see the U.S. as well as spend time with lots of great pets! I could take you anywhere you wanted on the Budapest metro blindfolded but have never been to Washington D.C. for example. Please feel free to contact me so we can speak in person about your pets, home and your requirements.
About: I just graduated from law school and am looking to make some additional money while studying for the bar. As such, I have an incredibly flexible schedule and am at home a significant portion of the day. I have 20+ years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments as well as other pets. I’m comfortable with puppies and young pets — helping them build confidence, reinforce basic commands, and establish healthy routines. I’m equally attentive to senior dogs, understanding their need for gentler exercise, medication schedules, and extra comfort. What sets me apart is my calm, patient energy and genuine love for animals. I treat every pet like my own — with consistent boundaries, plenty of affection, and close attention to their individual personality and needs. I’m also a reliable communicator, sending regular photo updates so owners always feel at ease. Special skills include: • Puppy socialization and basic obedience reinforcement (I have helped raise 3 puppies) • Senior pet care (mobility support, medications, low-impact activity). My families fifteen year old golden retriever prepared me well 😀. • Administering oral medications • Experience with high-energy breeds and dogs with anxiety • I workout regularly and can easily lift any dog if needed. recently graduated law school and am currently studying for the bar exam, which means I’m working from home with a very flexible schedule. I have plenty of time throughout the day to give pets the attention, walks, and companionship they need — no rushing off to an office or unpredictable hours. Having a pet around actually makes for great study company! Whether I’m welcoming pets into my home or caring for them in their own space, my approach is the same — attentive, calm, and consistent with their normal routine. In my home: I provide a comfortable, pet-friendly environment where animals are never left alone for long periods. Pets have space to relax, play, and get plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day. In your home: I follow your pet’s established routine as closely as possible — same feeding times, same walking schedule, same rules. I want them to feel like nothing has changed, just with a friendly new face. For drop-in visits: I make the most of every visit — feeding, fresh water, playtime, a walk if needed, and of course some quality cuddle time. I always send a update so you know how things went. For dog walking: Walks are tailored to your dog’s pace and energy level. I keep them safe, engaged, and well-exercised — and always clean up after them.
“Sandra was so great! She checked in a bunch, and was so lovely with my animals. She even straightened up a bit! Highly recommend! I will be booking with her into the future, instead of trying to rope in friends/family. Thank you Sandra!”

Hunts Point cat parents share their Rover experiences
I've booked pet drop-ins with Alexa twice now, and she is wonderful. She kept my kitty happy, well-fed, and stimulated - and kept me updated daily to boot. She's also very flexible with timing and accommodating of last-minute travel emergencies from pet parents who book with her, in my experience. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Zheru was great with our cat! This was our first time leaving our cat alone and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We received a lot of cute photos and a video everyday, as well as a detailed description of the visit. Our cat quickly became affectionate with Zheru and seemed to be very excited to see her each day for playtime. I would highly recommend Zheru!

Yuan has watched my cat 4 times now, and I can’t recommend her enough! She always sends the best photos and videos, which I look forward to. I feel completely at ease knowing my cat is so well cared for, with fresh food, water, and lots of attention every visit. It’s obvious she truly loves animals, and that really shines through in her updates.

Heather is an outstanding sitter! She provides consistently thoughtful care and attention each time. Her detailed Rover notes and empathetic approach to pets brings so much peace of mind while away. Thanks Heather for making our sweet girl feel loved and safe always, we are grateful for you!

Qiangnan is truly wonderful. She spends so much time playing with my cats and even brings her own toys to keep them entertained. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about them and pays close attention to how they’re doing, always keeping me updated on their condition. What impressed me the most is that even my shy cat really likes her, which says a lot about her patience and gentle approach with animals. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my cats are in such caring and attentive hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.

She took wonderful care of my cat while I was away. She was very kind, attentive, and clearly experienced with cats. I really appreciated the updates and photos she shared, which gave me great peace of mind during my trip. My cat looked relaxed and well cared for when I got back. I would definitely recommend her and would be happy to book with her again!

Second time Alejandro has cared for our cats - he’s great! Seems to genuinely care for the cats, and they seem to really like him! Great communication and makes me really comfortable to leave my cats in his care. I’ll continue to request him for future needs!
