“Ana is absolutely wonderful! She’s been so great in making sure my pup Rocco is getting is daily exercise. She’s very friendly, outgoing, professional and does a great job with picture updates! Rocco comes back happy and sleepy every time. 5/5 definitely recommend!!”

“My dog Freya is very particular about the humans she likes and she immediately took to Hunter. Hunter is super knowledgeable when it comes to animal behavior and she is amazing with Freya. Every time she sends a pic of their walks Freya is always smiling. We love Hunter and so happy to have found her 💜”

“Denys has been walking my two dogs for a while now, and I can’t recommend him enough. He is caring, responsible, and my dogs absolutely love him. It gives me peace of mind knowing they’re in such good hands. He’s always punctual, communicates clearly, and goes above and beyond to make sure they’re well cared for and happy. He’s also very flexible, which we appreciate given our sometimes hectic work schedule. I would highly recommend Denys to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable dog walker.”

“Jenna was absolutely wonderful with Maya! She was always prompt, reliable, and incredibly thoughtful. Even though each walk was only 30 minutes, she shared such detailed updates that it genuinely felt like I was right there walking Maya alongside them. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing exactly how everything went. On top of that, Jenna is such a kind and genuinely caring person. It’s clear she loves what she does and treats every dog as if they were her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and she’ll absolutely be my go-to person in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and truly wonderful with pets!”

“Shana is incredibly caring and communicative, always sending updates and photos after every walk. My dog has formed such a sweet bond with her and it’s obvious how much Shana cares. She’s also very flexible and organized, which makes scheduling and communication so easy.”

About: I'm a little obsessed with dogs. BIG dogs, especially. The bigger, the better. I grew up with a beautiful golden and recently raised a big, dopey (slightly dumb) yellow lab named Taxi. I miss her terribly so while I'm waiting for the perfect time to get my next pooch, I thought I could help walk yours! As a middle school English teacher, I'm wide open for the summer, so can walk almost any time during the week. I can board, as well, most nights. I am VERY cautious and careful with any pet, but especially those which are not my own. I will not have any pup go missing on my watch! When outside, I'll have a harness and leash on at all times and make sure they have enough water and distance from other dogs we do not know. At home, I'll be extremely careful not to have anything around they could eat, chew, consume, drink etc that would land them in the vet hospital! Safety first.
“Very professional and we’re able to handle my German shepherd easily. Great communication as well, I would highly recommend for walking your dogs”

About: I work well with all kinds of dogs; small or big, energetic or mellow. I take great patience to understand each individual animal and meet them where theyre at. I'm currently a part-time student at UW, and my commitment for classes is mostly online! My schedule this summer is super flexible, so I'm available for boarding anytime between other pet appointments, and I can do my best to make same day appointments work as well! I understand that boarding at the client's home means I am the one entering the pets' space. I will always ensure your pets' safe zones so they can retreat if they are feeling stressed or overwhelmed by my visitation.
“Leelay is great. She was kind, genuinely cared for our dog. She was great at paying attention to details. She was also committed and responsible, even during the days with the harsh snow and freezing rain.”

About: I only take one dog per boarding request as I want to make sure every pet gets the attention they deserve. I make sure to match with the dog’s energy, depending on whether they want a walk, play, or just a steady presence. I provide updates with photos and videos so that you can see how your baby is actually doing. I’ll make sure to keep their tails wagging while their favorite human is away (and hopefully become their second favorite)! There is always at least one person in the house to take care of the pets, with the exception of a few hours if we go out together on evenings or weekends. As a gap-year student, I am personally available almost all day everyday to keep your dogs comfortable. As my dog and cat’s favorite human, I always made sure they are doing well and dedicated individual daily play time to both. I have a fenced background so the dogs can play outside as long as they want to. If I go to your house, I will also play with them in addition to feeding, taking them to potty, etc. I treat my pets as my babies, and will make sure your babies are also taken care of when you are not around.
About: Hello there! My name is Nicole, and like many of you, I LOVE animals. Currently I live in downtown Kirkland and am open to new fluffy (or scaley) friends. I have watched pets inside my own and done visits. I am only open to boarding smaller, cat friendly dogs. :) I promise you that I will love and treat your pet with kindness and love. I understand the anxiety that comes with leaving your furry friends, and will send many photos and updates while you are away. I am currently looking to fill my free time with taking care of furry little friends. I live in Kirkland and do daily walks, and if your dog wants to come along, they are more than welcome! I live in a Condo in Kirkland, WA. I am happy to take dogs to dog parks (with permission) or to just a stroll around the neighborhood. I will send updates and photos whenever I see your pet!

Victoria is a consummate professional whose sunny disposition and love of animals is transparent in everything she does. On walks, she always sends updates and never fails to take my pup on an adventure. My dog Dutch loves her and to me, that’s the highest praise. She’s awesome and I’m so glad that we found her!!!

Emilia is great! Caring, reliable and professional. Rex couldn’t wait for his time with Emilia. She’s gentle, caring and natural with our Rex. She checks in with me for instructions and follows them strictly. She will be back to care for our Rex again soon! Thanks for everything you do for Rex. I know he’s safe, happy and loved while we are away.

Allie took wonderful care of my two dogs!! I booked with her last minute for some dog walking help while my partner was out of town. She was an excellent communicator and on time for every walk. One of my dogs is nervous around strangers, but my dog warmed up to her right away! My dogs were happy and tuckered out after their nice long walks.

Rachel is amazing! She's great with my dogs, who are suspicious and standoffish with people they don't know. She is also just a lovely human! Last weekend, while on my trip, I discovered that I had mistakenly booked her to walk my dogs the following weekend, not the one I was gone. She was able to accommodate the last minute change, and was so kind about it. Rachel is the best :)
This was our first time using Laura, and she was absolutely wonderful. She is the sweetest, and we felt comfortable right away. We have a pup who can get anxious when meeting new people, and she took to Laura immediately which says everything. Laura was incredibly kind, patient, and clearly great with dogs. She’s also very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the process. We’re so happy we found her and will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
