“Had a wonderful experience with Mike! From the very beginning, he connected instantly with Hero, our 100-pound American Akita. He’s extremely reliable, responds right away, and sent us great summaries and pictures after the walks. We’ll definitely be reaching out to again— Thank you Mike!”

“Shana has been walking my dog weekly for the past 6 months and I can genuinely say she’s everything you would want in a dog walker/sitter. Shana always gives a complete review with pictures where I can tell she really cares about the health and safety of my dog. It makes my day when I receive an update from their walks. She’s very responsive and flexible and stays on top of keeping my dogs walks scheduled. I feel my fur baby is in the best hands with her. I couldn’t recommend Shana more.”

About: bring a blend of seasoned multi-pet expertise and pure, genuine love to every pet I care for. What truly sets me apart is my real-world experience as a parent of three cats. Managing a multi-pet home has taught me how to read animal behavior like a pro, handle various personalities, and maintain a calm, structured environment. I’m proud to be the trusted, first-choice pet sitter for all my friends with both cats and dogs—they know their babies are in the safest, most dedicated hands possible. Why pet parents choose me: Expert Cat Care: From spotless litter maintenance to interactive playtime and grooming, I understand feline psychology inside and out. Attentive Dog Routines: I love keeping dogs active and happy, providing up to 3 structured walks a day tailored to their energy levels. Bedside Nighttime Comfort: To minimize separation anxiety, I love letting pets sleep next to my bed so they feel secure throughout the night. Reliability: I am strictly disciplined with mealtimes, hydration, and safety protocols. I know how stressful it is to leave your beloved pet behind. My goal is to make your time away completely worry-free by treating your furry baby like royalty! My weekends are completely dedicated to giving your pets the highest quality care and companionship! Because I work during the week, my weekends are entirely free and clear, meaning my schedule revolves 100% around your fur baby. I don't have the rush of a weekday routine, so I can offer your pet my undivided attention, long walks, and endless love. How your pet fits into my weekend: Friday Evening – Sunday Night: I am fully available for weekend boarding, daycare, or house sitting. Flexible, Tailored Routines: Since I am entirely open on Saturdays and Sundays, I can stick perfectly to your pet’s exact weekday routine—whether that means feeding them at the crack of dawn or sticking to a strict medication schedule. Adventure & Exercise: Weekend time means your dogs get plenty of outdoor action, including up to 3 long, leisurely walks a day to burn off energy, and your cats get plenty of interactive playtime and grooming. Constant Companionship: I spend most of my weekends at home or doing pet-friendly activities, so your furry friend will rarely be left alone and will always have me around for nighttime bedside comfort. If you have a weekend getaway or an event planned, you can relax completely knowing your pet is having a fun, safe, and loving weekend staycation with me My home is clean, spacious, and totally pet-proofed (a natural perk of having 3 cats). When walking dogs, they are always securely on-leash. I follow your exact feeding and care instructions to the letter, and I'll send you plenty of photos just so you can see how happy they are. I treat your home and your pet with absolute respect and safety.
“Ana was very punctual and our dog was very happy to see her with each walk. She made extra efforts to help him adjust to his new schedule. We felt very grateful for her excellent care and communication”

“I was so grateful for Ao and Yun’s kind and thoughtful care of Harley while we were on vacation. Our family staying with her was unable to walk her so Ao and Yun were life savers for our energetic baby. They sent pictures and updates everyday they were there - thank you so much you two!”

“Shawn was excellent and very attentive to Louie's needs. She took extra care and time to ensure he was comfortable and having fun. She was also very communicative, so we were always at ease since we were never left guessing about any details.”

“Logan was awesome! She walked and fed our dogs (and a couple other animals) while we were away for a few days. She was very communicative, reliable thoughtful and trustworthy with our home and pets, with instructions, locking up, etc. We have two dogs that pull a lot when walking so not a job for just anyone. Our dogs were well taken care of while we were away and well adjusted to all back to normal when we came back. I would recommend and use again.”

I understand the anxiety that comes with leaving your furry friends, and will send many photos and updates while you are away. I am currently looking to fill my free time with taking care of furry little friends. I live in Kirkland and do daily walks, and if your dog wants to come along, they are more than welcome! I live in a Condo in Kirkland, WA. I am happy to take dogs to dog parks (with permission) or to just a stroll around the neighborhood. I will send updates and photos whenever I see your pet!
About: I've had pets as long as I can remember. I have a love for animals and love taking care of them. I have experience with many different kinds of dogs and cats and have no issues in being able to catr if either or both. I've had experience with diabetic cats and older pets too. I'm currently in college so I can be busy during the weekday mornings but other then that I take care of my 2 cats at home every day, and have plenty of time to assist with others pets. I only have a cat at home who doesn't go outside, but I have dealt with large dogs on walks and am a fairly strong man, so I'll have no issues handling a couple medium sized dogs either. I'm no stranger to rough play but also love a warm gentle cuddle while reading a book or scrolling. (I may request access to your wifi so I can do homework while staying with your pets, it is not necessary to give me access if you do not feel comfortable with it, I will not take offense to you saying no, and will not treat you or your pets differently based on your answer. I swear to always give the utmost of my care and love to your pets, and treat them as if they were my own.)

“Laura walked our 1 yo golden retriever Cheddar while we were out of town and she was staying with a family member who wasn’t able to watch her. Everything went very smoothly and Cheddar seemed very happy with her!”

“I’m so grateful for Colin! I needed a last-minute walker after coming down with a stomach bug, and he was an absolute lifesaver. He was flexible, responsive, and super friendly, keeping me updated throughout the walk. This was my first time using Rover, and Colin even helped walk me through the final steps of setting up my account—so kind and patient! Highly recommend him.”

“Last week was the first time I used Edie for my new puppy Chester. He is quite the handful and she has done wonders with him. She’s been very flexible and genuinely enjoy to work with. Hopefully Chester will get used to her as I will be using her weekly for his walks.”
“Leelay is great. She was kind, genuinely cared for our dog. She was great at paying attention to details. She was also committed and responsible, even during the days with the harsh snow and freezing rain.”

About: During college I did Rover and Nextdoor all four years to walk and care for mainly dogs but also cats. I’ve got tons of experience taking care of all kinds of animals. I’m new here and looking to meet some new people/pets so I decided to get back on Rover. I work 30 hours a week, four days so am flexible with timing. I have a 7-month old puppy at home that I am also raising, I give her daily walks. I love walking so can fit walks into my schedule whenever I am free. I have been raising a puppy with my Mom here at home. Our place is too small to accommodate more pets but I am happy to come to your place. I love hanging out with animals, playing with them and taking them for walks. I’m obsessed with all dogs!

Star has been walking my dog for the last few weeks and she’s been so fabulous. She’s on time, always leaves a sweet note with the details of the walk and there haven’t been any issues with lateness or time conflicts. Compared to my last walker, she is just a breath of fresh air and ease. Thank you so much Star!

Emilia is great! Caring, reliable and professional. Rex couldn’t wait for his time with Emilia. She’s gentle, caring and natural with our Rex. She checks in with me for instructions and follows them strictly. She will be back to care for our Rex again soon! Thanks for everything you do for Rex. I know he’s safe, happy and loved while we are away.

- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
