“Denys and Andrii were amazing on such short notice! I needed a dog walker quick due to an injury and they were available same day. They took multiple pictures of my dog on the walk and she came back very tired and happy.”

“Jessica took our 75-pound dog on daily walks while we were out of town and did a fantastic job with him despite his leash aggression. She also included detailed updates on his temperament and I loved seeing his pictures while we were away. Jessica takes the time to carefully consider a dog's personality and what works best for them along with the desires of their owners. I highly recommend her and look forward to working with her in the future!”

“Our experience with Tiffany has been excellent. She is very punctual, communicative, and clearly experienced with dogs. We appreciate the regular updates and photos—it gives us a peace of mind during the day. Our dog Coco is anxious and gets nervous with when other dogs walk near by but with Tiffany, our dog has become less anxious and happy and well-exercised every time. A dependable and professional service. She is great with our dog. Highly recommend!”

About: We have two sweet British Shorthairs at home, and look after my friends’ cats when they travel. I understand that every cat is different 🥰 Some cats are cuddly, some are independent, and some take time to warm up. I’m happy to meet all cats 💛 My care includes: • Clean litter box daily • Photo updates so you feel connected with your cats • Gentle playtime + calm companionship • Following your routine carefully (feeding, treats, instructions) ❤️❤️中文可以❤️❤️❤️ I’m available Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends. Best time for visits is 11 AM – 5 PM. Hope to help take great care of your furry babies! I care for cats with a clean routine and lots of patience: fresh water, scheduled feeding, litter scooping, and gentle playtime/companionship. Maybe piano music 🎵 on TV 🥰 For client cats, I will follow your instructions closely and send regular photo updates.
About: I have always had a special ability to connect with animals; my partner calls me "Snow White" because animals flock to me wherever I go. I’ve never met an animal that I haven’t been able to befriend :) When I was five, I was walking our neighbors dogs for $1 while I patiently waited for my little sister to be old enough in my parents' opinion for us to pets of our own - so you could say I've been preparing for this opportunity for decades lol Eventually, I personally had ALL the pets - dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, mice, hamsters, among many other creatures and critters both big and small. I truly love animals! Currently, I have two 🐈⬛ black Bombay cats 🐈⬛ that I love more than words can express: o Holmes: 10-year-old mini panther who acts like a dog He sits / stays / comes / plays fetch on command, has an awful habit of eating rubber (requiring multiple emergency surgeries 😓), and loves always being on / next to me/my partner at all times o Watson, 1.5-year-old female kitten who lived on the streets for the first year of her life and still acts like a very adorable trash panda She loves cardboard > comfy beds, begging for human food > her automatic dispensed prescription food, playing with trash > normal toys, and meowing often and loudly o Since we rescued Watson, the kitties have lived in separate spaces while their friendship continues to grow (through scent swapping, sight swapping, controlled interactions). Holmes has understandably struggled to adapt after a decade of being an only child but he likes having his sister in his eye sight. Both cats are highly food motivated - they regularly eat from the same squeezem treat on opposite sides of the gate so we believe they will become even better buddies soon. Every day, I also support a number of wild animals with multiple bird feeders in my yard, including (over 20 different species of) birds, bunnies, mice, squirrels, and two ducks. Several birds (chickadees & dark headed juncos) even fly up to the porch when I step outside and whistle. Family, friends, and neighbors have relied on me to care for their fur babies for years. I am not only confident that I can take care of your pet(s), but that I also will treat them with the love and respect they deserve to ensure they have the best experience pawsible! I will make time for your pet(s)! I am an industrial-organizational psychologist (which is a fancy way of saying I apply science to improve work, workers, and the workplace) starting my own consulting organization. I make my own schedule so I can (likely) accommodate your requested timing. Both of our black voids are very protective of their space so I will likely take care of your pet inside your home / outside mine. When I am traveling, I love receiving proof of life photos of my kitties, so I will take multiple, quality photos of your pet(s) every day! Additionally, I will take diligent notes on your pets’ likes, dislikes, needs, & health in advance; I personally have a 12-page document outlining my pets’ care instructions that I share with sitters so you can trust that I will document everything you pet could need.

My kids love to take care of dogs and we all love dogs. When kids go to school I am going to stay with dog at home. Walking neighborhood, dog walk. We have fully fenced back yard. “Skyler has been flexible to come by and walk Zeus both times on short, same-day notice! She's a lifesaver and Zeus seems to love his time with Donny — I’ve definitely found our new regular for walks and if I ever need boarding/sitting services!”
“Our dogs are very happy with Viktoriia! She is highly responsive, reliable and flexible. I will absolutely ask her again to take care of my doggos. Thank you Viktoriia 🙏”

About: I do not know what a home is without a pet! I have always had at least one pet in my household since I was born. Currently, I have a miniature Australian shepherd that I raised and trained from a puppy. Additionally, I have a college degree in Animal Science and previously worked in the veterinary field for 4 years. I have experience with all sorts of dogs and cats but also livestock and exotics. I have worked with everything from newborn puppies to chickens to primates. I am extremely passionate about training as well as making sure pets have the mental and physical enrichment they deserve. I am currently working hybrid so my availability is mostly weekends and before/after work visits but I have the flexibility to work with you. I am joined Rover because I just love animals and it really feels like a hobby to get to meet new pets rather than a job. I have a small fenced in backyard and a miniature Australian shepherd to keep your pet company. If your pet is more solitary; Theo is more than happy to give them their space and we can provide a gated separate area for your pet. In your house, things are done your way. I prefer detailed instructions so that your home is exactly how you would like it when you come back. Additionally, allowing me to follow your set routine ensures your pet is as happy as can be when you come home. No request is too weird for your fur-baby! My own pet has lots of quirks and weird routines so do not hesitate to reach out with a special request!
“Rachel has been wonderful with our dog, Hazel. She’s been taking Hazel on long weekday walks and has truly gone above and beyond. Hazel used to pull and get easily distracted on walks, which made them challenging, and Rachel immediately offered to work with her on loose-leash walking. In just a short time, Hazel has improved so much and is now walking calmly, paying attention, and doing great on leash. Rachel is incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. She sends thoughtful updates and the cutest photos, and Hazel absolutely loves her and gets so excited when she arrives. We’re so grateful to have found Rachel and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog walker.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years through my own pets, family friends, and neighbors. I currently have a 8-year-old golden retriever, so I understand the responsibility, patience, and attention dogs need every day. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins for dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels. I genuinely love animals and treat every pet like my own. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting during the week, with afternoons, evenings, and weekends being the most open. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine to keep them comfortable and cared for. I always prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. Whether in my home or yours, I follow feeding schedules, walk routines, and any special instructions closely. I have experience with dogs of different ages and energy levels, and I treat every pet like they’re my own with patience, attention, and lots of love.
About: I've loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cats and I got and trained my dog when I was 11. I tried to train my cats too but that didn't go quite so well. In middle school through college, I started pet sitting around the neighborhood and for family friends. My own dogs were medium sized, but I do have experience taking care of larger dogs. I also have experience with kittens, old cats and dogs, and other animals from rats to horses! I fostered cats, adopted a rescue dog, and work with rescue horses so I'm also used to working with more timid animals. I take any chance I get to hang out with animals. I also love pet photography, so if you're interested let me know. I don't have pets now, but I'll love yours like my own! I currently work a flexible hybrid lab job. I can schedule my work to be around to check on your pets, and am also around on weekends. Reach out to me and we can figure out something that works! I'll care for your pets however you normally do to keep their schedules consistent, from home check-ins and pet sitting to walks around the neighborhood. I make sure that they are safe and comfortable at all times and am very communicative with anything that comes up and any concerns before, during, and after.
“We love Juniper!🤩She impressed us with her friendly yet calm dog energy at our meet and greet. She asked good questions to understand Poppy’s needs and behavior so she could know what to expect before walking her and we went on a short demo walk to show her what we normally do. She worked with us to find a good time that accommodated our schedule with her existing clients. Her report card summaries were incredibly entertaining and it’s clear she loves and cares a lot about animals. She took a very cute picture of Poppy with some poppies🥰She was very willing to help when Poppy needed to wear a cone and she communicated well with us about any questions or status updates. We would happily recommend Juniper to anyone (but selfishly want to keep Juniper’s schedule open just for us😁)!”

Tiffany was fantastic with our small dog, Penny! She was very communicative throughout the entire process providing us with photos and updates during the service. Penny has a unique set of personality quirks and Tiffany was well prepared to manage all of her needs. We look forward to booking with Tiffany again!

Broderik has been great for our 5‑year‑old lab, Shane — always on time, easy to communicate with during any schedule shifts, and attentive to the unique needs we occasionally have. Shane lights up when he sees him and comes home happy and energized. We really appreciate the reliability and care.

Valentina took care of my dog’s walking when I needed it the most. My dog is a rescue who easily gets scared, but she has earned her trust and has become a new friend to her!! My dog loves her walks with Valentina and I’m glad she gets much needed walk during my busy days She logs all the walk details and is great with communication as well

Jonathan was so great with our energetic puppy! He was patient, super communicative, well experienced, and always showed up early. We really appreciate him walking our pup while we were traveling, and keeping him healthy and happy. Highly recommend and we’ll be booking him again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
