About: I’ve cared for dogs for years and have experience with both large and small breeds. I currently help care for my two Saint Bernards and have also dog sat Australian Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, and smaller dogs with my mom. As a student-athlete, I’m very active and used to maintaining routines, so I can handle walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and giving pets lots of attention and exercise. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. I’m a student-athlete, so staying active and responsible is already part of my daily routine. I lift every weekday morning from 9–10am and practice from 11am–12pm, which still gives me plenty of time during the afternoons, evenings, and weekends to care for your pets. I’m used to balancing a busy schedule while caring for my own dogs, so your pets will always get attention, exercise, and reliable care. I’ve grown up around dogs and currently care for two Saint Bernards, so I’m very comfortable with large breeds and dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I’ve also helped my mom dog sit Australian Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, and smaller dogs, so I’m experienced with a wide range of sizes and temperaments. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, exercised, and cared for while keeping owners updated and following any routines or instructions closely.
About: No time spent with a pet is wasted! I love animals so much, and am super accommodating to the type of attention they want. My cats and dog are so important to me-as I imagine yours are to you-so I’d love to help take care of yours while you’re away! I am currently working freelance roles, so my availability is very open and flexible. This means I’m happy to accommodate yours pets usual routine times. Pets are so special. I will provide both a calming and/or energetic presence depending on their personality. I’m very reliable and on-time, and will make sure your pets needs and wants are met!

“Cynthia has been fantastic, and I’m so grateful to have found her. She is reliable, caring, and always goes above and beyond for our pets. What really stands out is her willingness to help when unexpected situations come up—she has even made special last-minute trips to walk our dogs when we’ve been unexpectedly pulled away from home. It gives us tremendous peace of mind knowing our pets are in such capable and compassionate hands. I highly recommend Cynthia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dedicated pet sitter or dog walker.”

About: I love dogs and cats! Each one has their own personality and quirks. My goal is to build a trusting relationship with any animal in my care. It's such a joy when I can communicate with an animal! I will always do my best to keep your pets safe and happy. I know some pets are very energetic and love to play rough, while others just want to be snuggled and pet. Either way, I'm up for the job! I will ask lots of questions about your fur friend so we can get off on the right foot! I'm a stickler for cleaning up after dogs or cats in my care. I have no problem scooping kitty litter every day or picking up puppy packages in the park (or your yard, for that matter). My goal is to provide a wonderful experience for you and your pet!
“Andi was extremely responsive and easy to work with for my last minute dog walking booking! Andi was great with my dog Maddy, and I would definitely book with Andi again.”

About: I have a goldendoodle of my own, Joey, who I trained and raised for the last 8 years. I’ve also looked after neighbors’ and relatives’ dogs my whole life! I’m currently off from university so I have plenty of free time to take care of your dogs, and I already clear a lot of my schedule to look after my own dog so pet care is always a part of my day. I have a small fenced yard and a friendly dog of my own, who I can take on walks with your dog or without if you prefer!
About: I have worked in the back and front at many vet clinics. I have run large play groups. I am always putting the pet first and always strive for positive experience. About: I've been caring for pets for 8 years: for neighbors, friends, and clients found on Nextdoor. I understand how much our companions mean to us, and I'm dedicated to providing the best care possible to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of your animal. I've taken care of a variety of animals - from dogs and cats, to hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish - including young and elderly. I am comfortable with walks, administering medication, and, of course, playtime! I'm a recent college graduate still looking for a full-time job. I also have a small side gig upcycling clothing, but I will have plenty of time to look after your pet. Just reach out, and we can make something work! I will care for your pet exactly as you want me to. I try to simulate their daily routine as closely as possible to build trust with them. I do not care for pets in my own home, but I am comfortable staying overnight with your pet, with daily check-ins, and anything else needed. With daily check-ins, I try to stay for AT LEAST an hour each visit, to provide sufficient company and to take care of anything I need to. Depending on the animal's needs, I will visit 2-3 times/day.
About: I have always cared for animals ever since I was young. I grew up in a home with five small dogs. Now living on my own, my friends have big dogs living with us that I help care for. I helped feed, walk, and also bath the dogs whenever they need it. I also love to play with them and give them some exercise like running. I live an active lifestyle with a very clam demeanor.
“We had a great experience with Jojo walking Chomsky! She had great communication, sent a great update and she was also willing to do a meet n greet beforehand which I really appreciated. Hope she'll be able to walk Chomsky again in the future!”

“Silvana was perfect—she listened patiently to all of my semi-neurotic rambling and immediately got along with my pup (who is typically pretty shy around strangers). Silvana had a very confident, calming way with my dog, who can be a lot for some folks. I knew I was leaving Mira in good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I've taken care of dogs 10 years. Family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I play with them, talk to them, and we relax together. I am a retiree, and although I sometimes work part-time, I have plenty of free time. I enjoy spending it outdoors with pets—feeding them and playing with them. I love animals. When walking the dogs, I always use leashes and clean up after them. I look after the dogs at home and ensure they have food and water.

Ana was wonderful! She was extremely reliable, professional, and clearly great with dogs. We felt completely comfortable knowing our dog was in her care. She communicated well, showed up on time, and treated our dog with kindness and attention. We highly recommend Ana to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker!
Soma has been absolutely awesome! She walked our dog everyday, came on time, and that realizability gave us such peace of mind when we were away. Even when we arrived back a day later than planned because of flight cancellations, she committed to walking our dog for that day despite having to move her own schedule around. Cannot thank her enough!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
