About: Hi! I’m an incoming college freshman triple-major and a devoted pet sitter who absolutely adores pets of all sizes and personalities. I treat every pet like my own Ziggy, with lots of patience, engaging playtime, and lots of love. I’ve been babysitting pets since 13. I love all pets and I’ve sat for cats, dogs, caged animals, and fish. I love taking cute photos of your pets (which i’ll send as often as you’d like!) and brushing them. My summer is completely focused on taking care of your pet. I have no jobs or schooling scheduled, and my schedule is completely open to pet sittings all summer! In your home, please walk me through where your pets food is, their favorite hiding spots, their toys, etc. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable regardless of the fact that their family is not home.

About: Hi my name is Vanessa. I love dogs, they are one of my favorite animals. They show us exactly who they are while allowing us to be our true authentic selves. I live in Issaquah Highlands with my husband, two boys and our dog Bilbo. We love our neighborhood because of how quiet, peaceful and safe it is to raise a family. I would love to take care of your fur babies and give them the love and respect they all deserve. I’m a full time mom to my 7 year old and 2 year old son. I work part time as a pet sitter. My schedule is flexible. I have a backyard. Pets are welcome to sit on my furniture and sleep on our bed. I’ll walk them in the mornings afternoon and nights. We will play, cuddle, nap together .

About: When taking care, of dogs, I had to give them medicine, take them for walks, and give them their food on time, and take them to the vet. I have a flexible schedule and I can spend quality time with your pets. I can take them on walks, play with them, feed them on time, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you are away. I truly enjoy caring for dogs and cats and giving them lots of attention. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, and special care. I also have a park nearby where I can take dogs to play, walk, and enjoy fresh air and exercise. I treat every pet with patience, love, and responsibility, just like they are my own.

About: I’ve been caring for pets both personally and through friends for over 7 years. I’m a dedicated cat mom to two cats of my own, so I understand feline behavior, routines, and how important patience and trust are when caring for cats. I’m very comfortable with feeding schedules, litter box care, playtime, and giving lots of affection (on your cat’s terms!). In addition to caring for my own cats, I’ve also provided boarding and in-home care for my friends’ dogs for many years. I have experience with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether your pet is energetic or shy, I always take time to understand their personality and routines. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. I work full-time with flexible hours, so I’m available for drop-in visits after 5 PM on weekdays and have flexible availability on weekends. I’m happy to accommodate evening visits and can be flexible with timing on Saturdays and Sundays based on your pet’s needs. When I visit pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. For each drop-in, I make sure your pet is fed on schedule, has fresh water, and gets plenty of attention and care. I clean litter boxes, refresh food and water bowls. For cats, I move at their pace — giving them space when needed and affection when they want it. I spend time playing, brushing (if they enjoy it), and making sure they feel comfortable and calm. For dogs, I provide potty breaks, short walks (if requested), feeding, and playtime to help keep them happy and relaxed. I always take a few minutes to check each pet’s overall well-being and will let you know if I notice anything unusual. I also send photo updates and messages so you can feel confident your pet is being well cared for while you’re away. My goal is to treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in your absence.

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Dogs are naturally drawn to me, and even the most sensitive pups feel easily comfortable around me. For over a decade, I’ve taken care of small dogs, medium dogs, and big dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments in both small and large capacities. Dog sitting has always been a welcome job for me in even the busiest times of my life and I make sure to meet their needs as well as they meet mine. My life circumstances have not allowed me to have a pet of my own, which makes me all the more happy to spend time with and take care of others’. I’m currently on a hiatus from work which means I have a lot of time on my hands, especially during the work week! My schedule will be updated regularly to account for any preexisting/standing appointments or engagements, but otherwise my availability is quite open! I work closely with owners to understand the needs of their pet and make sure they receive the best care possible. I am respectful of the clients living space while working to meet their pet’s need for consistency, routine, and familiarity in that space while they are away. Note regarding personal cameras: I understand the need to make sure your pet is receiving the best care possible. However, for the sake of personal privacy and mutual transparency, I ask that you please inform me beforehand of the location(s) of any cameras in your home and your intended usage activities during my stay.

About: I've been trusted taking care of friends' and neighbors' dogs since I was little and have dog/house sat on occasion in the past as well. I'm looking for employment since moving to Washington, so I currently have plenty of time to take care of and play with your pups! I don't have any dogs of my own right now, so I have plenty of love and attention to give yours - taking them on walks, feeding them, and any other requests you may have!

About: I've been a cat parent for nine years and a dog mom for six years and they've made my life so much better. I've been taking care of cats for more than 15 years, at first cat sitting and taking care of my roommate's pets before getting my own cat. I have experience working with shy, timid cats as well as really vocal ones. I completed a Pet First Aid & Disaster Response course, that I renew every two years. I know how to give cpr and administer medication, as well as give injections. I try to keep updating my pet care and pet first aid knowledge. I also try and make my home environment as comfortable as possible for the animals that visit. I have many dog and cat toys, extra harnesses, treats, and dog beds of varying sizes. Since I don’t have a yard, I do take the dogs out regularly, but I would recommend another person if you think your dog would need a yard to feel comfortable. I’ve done volunteer work for Seattle Humane, focusing on dog enrichment. I started fostering last year, and started up Rover boarding this year. I’m comfortable with small - medium dogs, but also some non reactive and leash pulling large dogs. I have dealt with reactive dogs before, but for their snd everyone’s safety, I prefer to avoid putting the dog in that situation. So I can’t watch more than one extra dog or give walks to more than two dogs at a time. The large dogs seem to do well in my apartment so far, it depends on the dog however. I try to provide enrichment with chew treats, toys, puzzles, and kongs while I work at my computer during the day. I’ll give them at least an hour of walking per day, and if there’s time we go to parks, trails, or the dog park, depending on the dog. I fostered then adopted my cutie Izzy six years ago. She is small poodle chihuahua dachshund mixed breed and 16 pounds. She is very friendly around new dogs, but will anxiety bark a lot around other humans. When I do a meet and greet, I bring her along. I live in the Bellevue/Redmond area and I work a full-time job mostly from home(I’ll be in the office once a week occasionally, but if I’m hosting, I avoid it). If I am away from home, I have a ring cam that I turn on to keep an eye on everything. I am available for meet and greets any time on the weekend and at noon or after 5pm on the weekdays. I'm also available for limited walks (on the weekends) and check ins(any day of the week). I found that I really miss fostering and volunteering and thought that the perfect side job for me would be to take care of other people's dogs and cats! I provide enrichment through toys, treats, and puzzles. I also have an updated certificate in pet first aid and disaster response. My dog is a little anxious and excited when first meeting, but she is sweet and will respect your dog’s personal space. I also have a cat who is very friendly and curious, but mostly she will leave other dogs alone. She’s surprisingly friendly around new cats and doesn’t hiss when first meeting them, but she will hiss if annoyed, but just as a light warning. I don’t host dogs that wouldn’t be comfortable around a cat. If it’s an unknown sort of thing, I will keep the cat and them separated. I also use a dog gate to partition off areas for meal time sometimes, or just to keep everyone in their own personal space if needed.

Alyssa is the absolute best! First of all she’s a dog owner herself so has that personal perspective and experience which is invaluable. She has a very thoughtful approach, asking questions beforehand about our pup’s habits. She took the time to play with our pup before and after her walk, which I was not expecting at all. She reached out once while we were away when she had a concern/question, which I appreciated. Alyssa also provided brief but informative daily reports after each walk, which were helpful and eased my mind because I was missing my girl while we were away. If you want a conscientious, caring and reliable dog walker, I highly recommend Alyssa!

Brooke continues to be a hero in our family! Today my husband was home when she arrived for their walk and got to see first hand just how excited they get as soon as Brooke pulls in the driveway. He was chopped liver as soon as it was time for their adventure with Brooke! Recently our neighbor also told us how she has overheard her talking to and playing with the dogs after their walk, and now even their dog gets excited when Brooke arrives! She had the best energy and treats our dogs like queens. So thankful!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Issaquah. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
