About: I have experience caring for friends' dogs, as well my previous Retriever mix Lucky. I had her for 13 years from her energetic puppy years to a senior who needed a lot of attention and medication. My home is missing a set of paws walking around it now and I have a very flexible schedule until I leave for a new job in August. I look forward to getting in touch! I am currently in between jobs and have plenty of free time for your pups! In a typical week I will only leave the house for a few hours at a time for a couple reoccurring appointments on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday. My home has a fenced yard with plenty of room to run around and play. There is a lot of open space in my home and air conditioning to keep everyone cool. I enjoy varying levels of activity from going on runs or walks, to chilling on the couch.
“Carly is very good with my 6mo old puppy, she was prompt and provided real time updates, and left everything as she found it. Will definitely use her in the future. Thank you Carly!”

“Alex was great at communicating and went above and beyond to help watch my house while I was out of town. Great with my animals and keeping the house in good shape!”

“Brandy clearly loves and cares about pups!!! Our Charlie had a wonderful time walking with her and I'm sure he's looking forward to his next walk with Brandy 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you for making sure Charlie had a great time on his birthday walk since I couldn't do it myself due to being out of town for work. Brandy also sent plenty of adorable pictures of Charlie for me to fawn over so that was awesome!!!”

About: Life has always meant enjoying dog relationships. Dogs visiting here at Twin Spruce Cottage are treated as if they are my own, enjoying a home setting & an attentive human. My initial posting with Rover.com was years ago. At that time circumstances changed so it wasn't until this last summer of 2025, that I happily began to board dogs again. I was raised to understand dog behavior and to be comfortable around all types of dogs. Our last dog was 110 lbs of gorgeous (& alpha) Flatcoated English Retreiver. He passed at 14. Now retired full time, I volunteer with dogs when I have the opportunity. I understand how to identify dog behaviors & work with them. I was a volunteer at a canine rescue program from 2001 through 2016, working both in the facility and fostering dogs who were waiting placement. I am capable of handling all sizes of dogs & willing to adjust to the individual needs of your dog. I have a dog friendly yard and do walks each day to keep them busy. There are comfy, upholstered large dog beds to lounge on and toys for play. I also am available for dog walking near me in Skyway WA. Unfortunately, dogs with special needs or who require medication be given are not accepted. I am retiree who walks daily ~ without my own dog these days. Dog walks are provided in daylight hours and are available by appointment. Schedule availability varies. I have a fenced yard which is dog friendly with room to run, lots of shade trees & some artificial turf developed especially for dogs. When in the house no dogs on furniture or beds but comfy dog beds are waiting. Dog guests who are boarding are walked 45-60 minutes per day which is included in daily rates. Your dog will be the only dog in my care while boarding > unless your family has 2 dogs you wish to board. There is a maximum of 2 dogs in care. Daycare is available. For further information on daycare, please contact me. Dog walking is also available, in my local area. Inquiries are welcome.
“Chase was very responsive to my messages. After meeting her, you can tell she truly loves and cares for dogs which made me very comfortable with her walking our 2 medium size dogs. She sent pictures to us routinely and gave us updates on the dogs' eliminating which helped us manager the dogs' schedules. We are very happy with Chase walking our dogs and we will be asking for her dog-walking services in the future! Thanks Chase!”

About: Growing up in Alaska, I was surrounded by a pack of 12+ dogs, which gave me hands-on experience caring for animals from an early age. I helped feed, clean, supervise, and create safe, enriching environments for each of them. As an adult, I’ve expanded that same level of care and attention to cats as well, including experience supporting senior pets and providing gentle hospice and end-of-life care for both dogs and cats. I deeply value the comfort, dignity, and quality of life of every animal I care for. It would be an honor to help care for your beloved four-legged family member with patience, compassion, and attentiveness. With a flexible weekly schedule supported by my household situation, I’m able to devote consistent time and attention to pet care, ensuring reliable visits and attentive, compassionate care for your pets. I offer loving, reliable care in both my home and my clients’ homes, always working to keep pets comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I adapt to each animal’s personality and needs to ensure they feel secure and well cared for in any environment.
“Jacqueline did such an amazing job with our dogs while we were on vacation. She took them on great walks, was a great communicator, and we will be asking her again to take care of them!”

“Patrick was fantastic with our dogs. He was incredibly patient with them and won over our pups who are normally very wary of strangers. He was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly to any messages. Would highly recommend him for your power care needs.”

About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life growing up. In my college career, I volunteered/worked at several animal shelters; I also have experience with exotic pets! These opportunities taught me how to physically handle pets, but also learn common behaviors. I am intuitive and think that is helpful when dealing with animals. At this point in my life, I have almost 10 years of animal experience. I am a part-time tutor and most of my clients are taken in the evenings and weekends, but with the summer time approaching, my number of clients has tapered off! My work can be done anywhere with wifi, so I am able to keep an eye on the pets the full-time I am scheduled. I have experience with reactive dogs and know how to handle them, as well.
About: I have always been an animal lover. That early love for animals led to a 15 year career as a zookeeper taking care of all kinds of animals. I was also a veterinary assistant for 3 years. I have experience with (and am comfortable caring for) birds, reptiles, invertebrates, aquatics, and all sorts of mammals. I am comfortable giving medications and subQ fluids if needed. I'm also a confident trainer and more than happy to work on behaviors with your pets. I'm currently a stay at home mom but my little one has started preschool so I have a fair amount of free time during the days. I'm excellent at following directions and will offer your fur baby the highest level of care in your home and on walks. I am happy to feed, change waters, clean litter boxes, and provide play time.
“Natalie is one of the best dog walkers I found on the app. She is experienced in walking large and sometimes reactive dogs and is very patient, assertive and kind with Cila. She is lovely to work with--always extremely communicative and flexible. I cannot recommend her enough! She is a rockstar and Cilantro and I are so lucky to have her as our dog walker!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Renton
Mashayla was fantastic with Ace! She walked him for us while we were out for the evening, and the whole experience was seamless. She was punctual, communicative, and sent us a great update along with photos, which we loved receiving. It was clear she took great care of Ace and genuinely loves animals. Knowing Ace was in such good hands allowed us to enjoy our evening without worrying, and we really appreciated the extra effort she put into keeping us updated. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, which says it all. We would definitely book with Mashayla again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and trustworthy dog walker!

Emily is literally amazing. My Stella is super shy and doesn’t warm up to new people very quickly. She’s 8 years old and we have never ever left her with anyone that wasn’t family. From the moment Emily walked into our house, Stella had found a new friend. She was so good with her!!! Stella even gave her kisses!!! Thank you Emily for taking such good care of my baby. I hope she gets to see her new friend many many more times!!

Daniel was so prompt and enthusiastic. He clearly cares about taking great care of my elderly dog. Asked lots of really pertinent questions. Helped me get to know the Rover app and system (it was my first time using the app and I misunderstood some stuff). Looking forward to having extra help taking care of my dog.

I hired Sharin because I'm recovering from surgery, and like me Ollie had cabin fever and needed to get out, yet I was in no condition to be walking. Sharin arrived on time and I had Ollie ready to go in his harness. He was really excited to meet her and she was so sweet to him. He's a dachshund so he can bark quite a bit, but he seemed to be relaxed when they left, which made me feel at ease. After the walk, Ollie watched her leave. I definitely would want Sharin to walk Ollie when needed.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
