About: Ive grown up with cats and dogs my whole life. I spent a lot of time with my cousin being a breeder taking her dogs to shows, I have learned how to take care of dogs and how to approach the ones that can be a handful at times. I work a full time Monday- friday job but on my lunches I can stop by for check ins and walks and after work as well. Weekends are always open too. If doing check ins I can clean up any accidents and make sure they are fed and have water(depending on feeding schedules) and I always have local parks and routes pre planned for a good walk

About: I wasn’t around dogs until I was a young adult and I immediately fell in love. They’re so sweet and funny and adventurous and they all have such different personalities. It’s exciting to see how they interact with new people and new environments. I’m lucky enough to not need to work a full-time job so I get to focus on doing what I enjoy, which is being around animals! It takes a lot of trust between you and the animal, so my approach is always very calm and slow. I don’t want to over excite them or scare them because that can trigger reactivity or cause harm.

Amazing service! Their walks were always a good distance, and the dogs were so healthy and happy when we came home. I know it can be hard on them when we are gone for more than a couple of days. It was so good to see them well cared for. I can tell they were loved

About: I have worked as a professional dog walker for 5 years. It is the best job ever. Dogs are adorable and hilarious, yes, but the part I really love is trying to understand the motivations behind each dog. I know, food and walks, duh! But since adopting my high-anxiety dog 6 years ago, I have realized there is so much more to the doggie brain. Dog park trips are like an anthropological study for me!! I like to think I'm the Jane Goodall of dogs; I'm flattered when they confuse me for one of their own. Living among the canines has come very naturally to me, and frequently worry about the diminishing appeal of the human world. My mother has legitimate concerns that I'll never find a husband. Some have called me a dog whisperer, to which I say "Have you ever met a dog that whispers?" You can think of me more like a translator. Booking with me helps fund my education so that I can one day save the world. My dream is to help troubled kids find the peace and compassion that I have found in my love for animals. I currently work from home and have open availability. If your dog cannot be left alone, they won't be. My own dog does not like to be separated from me, thus I'm comfortable arranging my life around the needs of dogs!! I use extreme care in assessing the environment to experience it the way your dog is, thus better understand behaviors and antecedent cues, and what is reinforcing the behavior.

About: I’m a proud Corgi owner with over 5 years of pet care experience. Caring for my own dog has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and giving every pet the love and attention they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or keeping them company, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. I’m currently focused on my studies, so I have flexible availability built around my school schedule including weekdays and weekends. I can handle feeding, walks, playtime, and litter/potty routines at whatever times work best for you, including early mornings or evenings. My home has a fully fenced yard, safe for pets to roam freely. I have two friendly dogs who are well-socialized and used to sharing space with other pets, and I always supervise introductions to make sure everyone gets along. If your dog needs crating or a separate space, I’m happy to accommodate that to keep them comfortable and stress-free in a new environment.

About: I've loved and cared for dogs for 20+ years — and it's the senior and high-needs ones that have shaped me most as a caretaker. I've worked professionally as a dog walker and sitter, volunteered on a farm tending to sheep, pigs, and cows, and have logged years of animal care across a wide variety of contexts. My focus and true passion is senior and high-needs dogs. I currently care for Momo, my 11-year-old mini poodle rescue, who requires daily medication, mobility support, and consistent patience with separation anxiety rooted in past trauma. I'm fully comfortable managing medication schedules, specialized diets, and the kind of attentive, adaptive care that older or more complex dogs require. I also guided my previous dog, an Old English Sheepdog, through her full senior journey — including dementia-informed reactivity, significant mobility challenges, and all the nuanced day-to-day care that came with loving a big dog through her final chapter. I share my home with two poodles: Momo, and Stormy — a big, friendly 7-year-old standard who loves meeting new dogs and is equally happy to give them space if that's what they need. Stormy splits his time between my home and family nearby, so his presence varies by stay. I now work from home in a different field, and pet care is my way of staying connected to the animals I love. Your dog gets calm, present, unhurried attention from someone who is genuinely home — and genuinely invested. Senior dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs who need a little extra are especially welcome here! I work from home the majority of the week, so I'm present and available throughout most days. I'm typically in office one to two days a week — usually Wednesdays and/or Thursdays — for roughly 8 hours. Outside of those days, I'm home and attentive during business hours and fully available on evenings and weekends. I have a fully fenced yard, a one-story layout with no stairs to navigate — especially important for senior or mobility-limited dogs — and gate separation available so visiting dogs can be in the mix while still having their own space. Crates are available if needed. I keep pet cameras throughout the home so I can monitor remotely on the rare occasion I'm out. All dogs have dedicated feeding stations and I'm happy to accommodate varying meal times and dietary needs. Animal CPR documentation is posted in the home, an emergency vet is less than a mile away, and I have reliable transportation should anything come up.

About: We recently said goodbye to our senior, special needs dog, and while we are not quite ready to welcome a new dog of our own, we would love to care for and spoil yours in the meantime. Dog walking and drop-in visits feel like a meaningful way for us to share the love, patience, and experience we gained from caring for an older pup with unique needs. We live in a townhouse without a yard, but we make up for it with lots of attentive care, regular potty breaks, and daily walks. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which allows me to be especially present, flexible, and responsive to your dog’s needs. We are also located near several walking trails, perfect for dogs who enjoy getting outside for sniffing, exploring, and gentle exercise. Our home is calm, safe, and best suited for dogs who are comfortable living with cats, as we do have feline companions. We are happy to follow your routines closely, including feeding schedules, medication, mobility support, or any special instructions that help your dog feel secure and at home. We understand how important trust is when leaving your dog with someone else, especially if they need extra care or reassurance. Our goal is to provide a loving, low stress environment where your dog is treated like family while you are away. For your awareness: our profile still says we have a dog at home. Unfortunately, we do not. He passed away recently and I haven't been able to remove his profile yet 😪 I am available during the work week for walking and drop-ins until 8/24/26. Weekends are on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me and we might be able to work something out for weekend services. I will be attentive to your pet's needs and follow your instructions thoroughly. If any issues arise, I will communicate with you promptly or as directed by your instructions.

About: I’m experienced with dogs who are still learning, including puppies who are working on potty training and basic manners, and I always use positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency to help them succeed. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs with specific medical needs, including giving medication on a schedule, following dietary restrictions, and keeping an eye out for any changes in behavior or comfort. Your dog’s health and safety will always come first. Whether it’s playtime, walks, training support, medication reminders, or just company while you’re away, I’ll make sure your pup gets all the attention, structure, and love they need. I’m currently in college, so I have a flexible schedule and would love to work with you to fit your animal routine and needs. I’m available weekends and weekdays ! When caring for pets in your home, I make sure they feel comfortable and happy in their home. I will follow their usual routines and give plenty of love, attention, and positive reinforcement.

Berry can be dog reactive, and Trieste did a wonderful job exercising both dogs. • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
