Adam is a wonderful substitute for our regular Walker. We had a little snafu with the app. He was great communicating with me and we figured out a way to make it all work. I will definitely book him again when needed.

About: I am an Animal Science graduate and have been taking care of pets of all breeds and sizes since I was little. I have watched friends and family’s pets for many years. I am back home in Seattle from college and will be looking for a part time job. My schedule will be pretty free to do any services morning, evenings, or weekends! I have a fenced backyard and one miniature poodle and one cat at home. There is a doggy door and plenty of toys to share.

Jeannie was wonderful walking my pup Finn. She gave helpful real time information on how he did, was professional and overall someone you can rely on. She kept her cool when my rambunctious pup (1 year old) tested boundaries and tried to jump up on her. By the end of the week working with him he was a different dog and much better behaved. I highly recommend Jeannie and her pets care services!

About: I have grown up with dogs in the family my whole life of all sizes and breeds. I currently have a small Yorkie who I’ve had since she was 8 weeks old. I’ve always pet-sat and cared for friends dogs over the years as well. I am currently on maternity leave from my job as a flight attendant so I have plenty time for walks and drop-ins to make sure your pet is taken care of. I am currently available weekdays and most weekends! I take my Yorkie, Lulu, on walks most days. I truly enjoy it and look forward to doing the same for your fur baby! Whether they need a brisk walk or just a stroll through the neighborhood, I tailor the walk to your dog’s needs.

About: I have loved animals since I was child and helped take care of our German Shepherd growing up. When I was older and got my own place it was finally time to have my own dog and I’ve had him ever since and added a second. I love taking them for walks and swims, playing with them in the backyard and cuddling with them and giving them their pets while lounging around the house. I’m currently not working so I spend all my time with the dogs and love to get out for a long walk with them daily. I have a large, fenced backyard and two friendly and happy dogs at home to keep your dog company. Dog beds and dog friendly couches abound for comfy spots to rest after playing and walks.

About: Having grown up surrounded by animals, I've developed a passion for pet care. With 8 years of experience in house sitting, I'm confident in my ability to provide top-notch care for cats and dogs alike. As a pet parent myself, I understand the importance of ensuring your pet's safety, well-being, and happiness, just as I would want for my own pets. Many of my clients are not apart of rover they have all found me just by “word of mouth” but I figured I’d give this a try because I truly love caring for animals. I currently am working part time so I can easily fit your fur baby’s into my schedule. I own a car so transportation isn’t an issue. With my part time schedule I can be with your pet majority of the time. I always try to ensure they get exercise and extra attention while you’re away because I know they miss you. I love working out their mind with puzzle games as well as their body with walks or play time. As always they get a bunch of love in between.

About: I have experience with big dogs, medium dogs, and small dogs. I take great care in updating my clients on what’s happening with their pets. I’m working as a substitute Paraeducator so my days can be flexible depending on circumstances. I’ve stayed overnight in peoples houses looking after their pets while also staying at their place all day I always ask clients when I visit where and when pets are allowed in certain parts of the house and yard. I want to make sure they’re as comfortable as possible.

About: I am trained in animal welfare by AZA accredited institution, and committed to keeping your pet safe, happy, and comfortable. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, and I am ready to help active dogs burn off energy with walks, run, and play. I am a long time pet owner and my first dog care experience came from my pet cockapoo "Felix". I base my daily and weekly routine around the wants and needs of the animals I am caring for to ensure their comfort and wellbeing. I keep pets comfortable by providing care in their own homes, following their routines exactly as instructed and communicating with owners as needed or wanted. On walks or trips to parks, I ensure safety with double checking leashes, getting to know the pets temperament, and staying cautious.

I would recommend Shelli to anyone! She is so easy to work with — incredibly responsive, polite, kind, and professional. We were super nervous about using Rover for the first time, but we could not have been luckier to find her. We absolutely plan to continue using her for as long as she wants to walk Aspen. I will recommend her to all of my friends and neighbors. If you are looking for someone you can truly trust with your loved fur babies, Shelli is the perfect choice. She handled our lovely husky lady Aspen wonderfully, and if she can handle a husky, she can handle any dog! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

About: With a lifetime of dog ownership and a passion for active enrichment, I offer much more than just a walk. I specialize in engaging your pet’s mind and body, whether it’s teaching puppies the ropes, helping dogs gain confidence in the water, or even practicing soccer drills in the yard. My 4yo mini-Aussie is my only employee. We walk in the morning, mid-morning and afternoon but I’m available pretty much anytime as my daughter drives herself now. Whether your dog is walking with me or visiting my home, my priority is maintaining their unique routine while adding expert engagement. In my home, they’ll enjoy a safe, fenced space perfect for our soccer sessions and or puppy training. I provide professional, respectful care for every stay no matter how long or short. I am extremely grateful to have found Kimee. I get anxious when leaving my dog behind, but Kimee did an incredible job keeping me in the loop on their walks, his food/water intake, and sending cute pictures. Although my dog is 8, I would surely describe him as having the energy of a puppy and Kimee handled him with such ease. If you're looking for someone to treat your four legged friend as their own, she is surely the one to go with!

We were SO pleased with Tyler and Alexis. They took such great care of our Annabelle while we had to be away. Very communicative and so easy to work with. They will absolutely be our very first call next time. Not everyone is made to care for and handle true hounds. She got great walks, was far less stressed than other times, and they even went the extra mile to chase her around the house for a little play. So grateful that we found Tyler and Alexis.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Normandy Park. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Normandy Park.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Normandy Park. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
