“Shannon agreed to take care of Bailey for us last minute, and was extremely accommodating with our ever changing plans while in Seattle. Thank you for caring for my pup and being patient with me! Would definitively use again when visiting Seattle!”
About: We are a dog loving couple located in Normandy Park! We have years of experience in caring for dogs. We used to foster dogs until we decided to become permanent dog parents to our two Golden Retrievers! We both have had dogs our whole lives, so have extensive experience with all different breeds and ages. We are excited to welcome your pup into our pack! My partner works from home full-time, so your pup will never be left home alone. We also go on twice daily walks, so your pup will get plenty of exercise (apart from running in our large yard)! Our home: we have 3 fenced in areas for plenty of room for your fur baby to roam. Our two Goldens absolutely adore other dogs, so we hope that your pup doesn’t mind other friends around! We are a very dog friendly home, so know that our house is puppy proofed and we allow dogs on the furniture.
“This was my 1st time with Daniel & Joelle, who were very accommodating. My pup did a day long to get used to them & see if she'd be a good fit for a week upcoming boarding. Everything went well. Meelo is a very sweet old guy, which is great for my pup who's been bullied & is shy at first. Though it was her 1st day & so somewhat anxiety provoking to be left, she still seemed relaxed when I picked her up & asked everyone for scratches & pets during the day. It also seemed she took a liking to their daughter Esther:) She'll try a week there a few weeks from now.”

“Such a wonderful feeling when you finally found a great sitter for your pup! Zoie has never been this happy being away from me! It only goes to show that Daisha and Tam did a fabulous job of caring for and treating my pup like their own. I would definitely use their services again and highly recommended.”

“She did an amazing job with our dog! She was very flexible and able to take him on last minute. She kept us updated on how he was doing and very responsive to us through his time there. If we lived locally, we definitely would be back.”

About: Since being on my own, I have had some fur baby in my life. Both puppies and elders will be well loved here. We have a deep relationship with our own animals. All are fully vaccinated and attend their annual health checks. We also love on them when they ask us to, meeting their mental health needs as well. Husband is still working from home with no return to the office in sight. And we are a currently a multi-generational home. There will always be some human here to care for your furry family member. We have a huge, secure, fenced backyard and two dogs of our own. Your pup will be well exercised here and will come home exhausted (and maybe a little dirty). We also love cuddling with our fur babies, and will welcome any (reasonably sized) dogs onto our bed if that is where they feel comfortable, or we have room for a crate or any dog bed you want to bring. We feed our pooches 3x a day. But we find that most guests have a 2x per day routine, and will continue to hold your home routine. We also give oral medication to one of our pups, once a day.
“Samantha was very kind and flexible. She watched Boo while we moved and Boo seemed to enjoy her time hanging out. We will definitely request sitting services with Samantha in the future!”
“Kristina is an amazing furbaby sitter, and we are so grateful for the care and attention she gives to Enzo every time he stays with her. Enzo is a regular with Kristina, which says a lot about the trust and comfort we feel leaving him in her care. She is dependable, kind, and truly treats him like family. We always appreciate the updates, love, and patience she gives him, and it gives us peace of mind knowing he is safe, happy, and well cared for. Enzo always comes home relaxed and happy, and we highly recommend Kristina to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter! 🐾”

“Brandon did so great with Harlan!!! And was able to help us with our last minute booking. Very communicative! And loved Harlan like one of Brandon's own pups. Thanks so much!! Would definitely book again!”

“Donna and her husband welcomed my senior 18 year old mini schnauzer with open arms! I had to work 14 hour day, 2 days in a row, and they took care of him like they were his family. I’ve never met such a nice sitter combo! They have a yard which my dog loved! My dog is a lot of work and they took the best care of him! Their dog mushu was the sweetest dog and played with buddy so gently. They sent many updates and pictures and videos which made me so happy and knew he was in good hands. Thank you!!!”
“Andrea is lovely and was really great with my dogs. She is super easy to communicate with and my dogs were very comfortable with her. I will highly recommend her to anyone and will certainly bring my dogs back the next time I need a sitter!”

“I’m a repeat client of Chuk’s and couldn’t be happier with the care she provides for my senior dog. She’s incredibly kind, communicative, and always goes out of her way to make sure my dog is comfortable and well cared for. It’s such a relief knowing my pup is in such good hands. Chuk is also very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate sitter!”

“Kirsten took great care of our dog! He came home happy and tired after a fun day of playing. She was also responsive and conscientious to make sure our dog was comfortable and matched up well with the other doggies at daycare that day.”

About: I am an Animal Science graduate and have been taking care of pets of all breeds and sizes since I was little. I have watched friends and family’s pets for many years. I am back home in Seattle from college and will be looking for a part time job. My schedule will be pretty free to do any services morning, evenings, or weekends! I have a fenced backyard and one miniature poodle and one cat at home. There is a doggy door and plenty of toys to share.

About: Hi! I'm Shirley, a passionate animal lover who believes every walk should be an adventure. Whether your pup loves a brisk walk, extra sniffing time, or plenty of belly rubs, I'm here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I'm reliable, attentive, and excited to get to know your furry family member. I can't wait to meet your best friend and become their new favorite walking buddy! I work from home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. They won't be left alone for long periods and will receive regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and lots of love. I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable, safe, and right at home while you're away. In my home, your pet will be treated like part of the family. I have a fully fenced yard where they can safely enjoy outdoor time, along with plenty of playtime, attention, affection, and a comfortable place to relax. I'll follow your pet's usual routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and at home. For drop-in visits or care in your home, I'll make sure your pet has everything they need during each visit. This includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks or walks, playtime, lots of love and attention, and, of course, plenty of cuddles if they enjoy them. I'll also follow any specific instructions you provide and send updates so you know your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away.
About: I’ve spent more than 20 years caring for animals, and being around pets has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve owned dogs for most of my life, and when I didn’t have one of my own, I was the person friends, family, and neighbors relied on to care for theirs. My experience includes caring for both large and small dog breeds, each with their own personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’ve also cared for rabbits and horses and spent several summers on a farm, giving me hands-on experience with a variety of animals and teaching me the importance of patience, consistency, and responsible care. In addition, my brother is a professional dog trainer, which has given me valuable insight into dog behavior, communication, and positive handling techniques. While I’m not a certified trainer, I’ve learned practical skills that help me understand dogs and create a calm, safe environment for them. I offer boarding, drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply sticking to their daily routine, I’ll make sure they receive personalized care, plenty of attention, and lots of love while you’re away. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else takes trust. My goal is to treat every animal like they’re part of my own family, so you can feel confident knowing they’re in caring, dependable hands. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I genuinely enjoy making time for it. I’m currently pretty flexible, and starting in September, I’ll mainly be available afternoons, evenings, and weekends. My schedule can vary from time to time, but I’ll always keep my availability updated and make sure every pet gets the time, attention, and care they need. I try to make every pet feel as comfortable as possible by sticking to the routine they’re used to. Every dog is different, so I always ask about their schedule, personality, and any special instructions before I start caring for them. If I’m working that day, I always make sure we get a good walk in before I leave. It’s a great way for them to use the bathroom, burn off some energy, and start the day on a positive note. I usually aim for at least a 30-minute walk. When I get home, we head back outside for another potty break and walk. Depending on your dog’s age, energy level, and what they enjoy, our walk might be 30 minutes or it could turn into a longer walk around the neighborhood. Before bed, I always take them out one last time so they’re comfortable for the night. I follow whatever feeding schedule you already have in place, whether that’s in the morning, afternoon, or evening. I know pets thrive on routine, so I do my best to keep things as normal as possible while you’re away. Most importantly, I treat every pet like they’re my own. They’ll get plenty of attention, playtime, affection, fresh water, and lots of love. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, happy, and cared for—and for you to feel completely at ease knowing they’re in good hands.
“Zee taking care of our baby definitely took the stress off for us to enjoy our wedding day. Will book with her again when we’re out of town. she kept us updated through out the day and very responsive. Thanks Zee!!!!”

My pup Lucy had a great stay at Shannon & Bert's today! She made herself right at home and really seemed to enjoy herself. Lucy was well taken care of and it was clear that keeping her safe and comfortable was top priority. Shannon & Bert were wonderful and accommodated me on short notice. Lucy would definitely like to come back one day, thanks so much!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
