We had our first crazy dog for 11 years. We've had our current old dog for one year, and have learned to guide him around through his failing eyesight. We will have the support and advice of one family member who has been petsitting for six years.

This was the first time leaving Lolo with Daniel, Joelle & Co for more than 1 day. She stayed a whole week, and I could tell from my communication with them that she was being well taken care of & loved. They accommodated to her neediness, so she didn't even have to adapt to a new way of life! When I came to pick her up, she was excited to see me, but calm, and not pushing to get out & jump in my car immediately. She wanted to sniff around their yard & block before leaving. I can tell she loves them & they love her, which is a wonderful feeling. I'm happy that I missed her way more than she missed me!
This is my dog’s 3rd or 4th sit, and she clearly loves the family, already. My travel plans due to Labor Day ferrie, got really messed up and not at all what I had agreed upon, yet Daniel & Joelle were very forgiving, and accommodated quite a lot.
This was my pup's 1st overnight with Daniel & Co after only 1 prior (day) visit. She was calm & happy when I picked her up. I took her for a walk around their neighborhood before getting in my car to leave. When we arrived back at their house, Lolo tried to go back inside their house vs the car! I took that as a good sign;-)
This was my 1st time with Daniel & Joelle, who were very accommodating. My pup did a day long to get used to them & see if she'd be a good fit for a week upcoming boarding. Everything went well. Meelo is a very sweet old guy, which is great for my pup who's been bullied & is shy at first. Though it was her 1st day & so somewhat anxiety provoking to be left, she still seemed relaxed when I picked her up & asked everyone for scratches & pets during the day. It also seemed she took a liking to their daughter Esther:) She'll try a week there a few weeks from now.
Daniel and Joelle’s family is wonderful—responsible, caring, and great with dogs. My dog Chess always has a fantastic time with them. Highly recommend.
Daniel and Joelle are the best! They treated my dog with such love and attention that Piper didn't want to leave. They are a wonderful family who love animals and catered to Pipers needs whether that was howling along when Piper howled in the minutes after I dropped her off, or standing by and encouraging Piper to eat. I would rebook with no hesitation.

Schedule
I stay at home full-time. There are usually two to four people at home at any time. Our own dog is never alone. I am available for boarding any time, and having another dog or two occasionally will be a treat for all of us.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a yard, but no fence, so we always use leashes when going outside. We have stairs that dogs will need to navigate. The light in the staircase is always on. We have an older dog of our own who cannot see well but loves other people and other dogs. He especially likes little dogs, but occasionally objects if they get too close too fast because he cannot see them coming. We have experience giving pills, eye drops, and ear drops.

A typical day
We mostly chill out at home, but there is a neighborhood park within walking distance, and there are three parks and a walking trail along a creek near our home. Some of the parks are in Normandy Park, where well-behaved dogs are allowed to play off leash.

- I have an unfenced yard, and I have a dog of my own. You will probably want to visit my house before deciding to leave your dogs with me, to make sure that your dogs and my dog will get along together.
