We always appreciate the updates, love, and patience she gives him, and it gives us peace of mind knowing he is safe, happy, and well cared for. Enzo always comes home relaxed and happy, and we highly recommend Kristina to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter! 🐾”

“Shannon agreed to take care of Bailey for us last minute, and was extremely accommodating with our ever changing plans while in Seattle. Thank you for caring for my pup and being patient with me! Would definitively use again when visiting Seattle!”
About: We had our first crazy dog for 11 years. We've had our current old dog for one year, and have learned to guide him around through his failing eyesight. We will have the support and advice of one family member who has been petsitting for six years. I stay at home full-time. There are usually two to four people at home at any time. Our own dog is never alone. I am available for boarding any time, and having another dog or two occasionally will be a treat for all of us. We have a yard, but no fence, so we always use leashes when going outside. We have stairs that dogs will need to navigate. The light in the staircase is always on. We have an older dog of our own who cannot see well but loves other people and other dogs. He especially likes little dogs, but occasionally objects if they get too close too fast because he cannot see them coming. We have experience giving pills, eye drops, and ear drops.
“Brandon did so great with Harlan!!! And was able to help us with our last minute booking. Very communicative! And loved Harlan like one of Brandon's own pups. Thanks so much!! Would definitely book again!”

About: Thank you for considering me. $20 discount for 1st time Rover clients! Please ask me for the promo code before booking with me. I have taken care of rescue and shelter dogs for the past 5 years. I have fostered many dogs with my wife and helped them find forever homes. Enjoy your trip and holiday while your fur baby enjoys a staycation with us. You will never be charged for a late checkout if flight is delayed or due to any other reason. I watch your pup closely through out the day and will send pics/videos to keep you updated. I have a fenced yard. I prefer a meet and greet session with my dog before finalizing the booking so that your pup gets familiar with me and my dog. I consider dogs as family and take care of them as my own. They are not allowed on sofa and beds and inside the kitchen. I walk the dogs twice a day with yard time at regular intervals depending on the weather. We avoid dog parks for our rover dogs. The daily hygiene routine of the dogs includes cleaning of eyes, paws, sanitary areas. If at any time, your pup gets sick, I will notify you and also connect with Rover vet. I can provide the pup with rice and boiled chicken in case of upset tummy. I can provide medication to your pup as and when required. Please make sure the meds are marked and labeled. I can provide with crate, blanket, bowls if necessary. I recommend providing big water bowls for larger dogs as I only small ones. Let me know about the commands or tricks your dog understands and the boundaries practiced at home so that we can do the same. My wife and I are currently working from home full-time. I will be attending to the dog full time and will be available to take for walks, potty breaks, and playtime. I have a fenced yard with outdoor camera. We have two fur babies currently staying with us now. We have crates to crate train the pup. On walks, the pup will always be on a harness with a leash.
“Gino is awesome! He's incredibly reliable and our dog, Brandi, absolutely adores him. Gino goes above and beyond to ensure that Brandi is happy, healthy, and well-loved while we're away. His communication is top-notch, and we always feel at ease knowing our pup is in his capable hands. His responsiveness is unmatched and I enjoy his updates of photos and videos that he sends throughout the day.”

About: Currently living in Des Moines not far from Salt Water State Park & near a few dog parks that we frequent. I can’t remember a time I didn’t have a dog! Our small family loves having loyal companions in the house. We have 2 pups of our own that love making friends & would love to meet yours! I’m currently working from home full time, that allows me to walk my dogs & any extra pups multiple times a day. On average my pups get walked at least 3 miles a day. Being from home all day really gives me the flexibility to give my full attention to any furry friend in our home. They are guaranteed to get lots of love & playtime. My job allows me to be 100% remote. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye & spend a lot of time with your pup! We live in a 2 story townhome. Although we have a shared it not fenced. My schedule allows me to walk get outside for walks or trip to the fenced field just a block away!
“Kimee is just the best!! She's been a reliable go-to sitter for me and my fiancé for multiple stays now. Her flexibility and willingness to help out especially stands out. Sometimes we procrastinate getting everything in order with our pets before travel, but Kimee jumps at the chance to care for our rambunctious chocolate lab pup. Our fur baby completed her first boarding stay with Kimee and her two little dogs, and it sounds like they had a fantastic sleepover party. Thank you Kimee for always having our back whenever you're available. Us and Zulu are big fans!!”

“Han is outstanding! She was so kind and understanding to my very anxious pup. I was worried about a new babysitter and if he would get along with her doggos and I was more than happy to see him fit right in to the pack! A very calm and safe environment for my little boy, such a great find.”

My home features a large fully fenced yard for supervised play and exercise. Our drop off and pick up is between 9am-9pm. Please let me know your ETA when you are on your way. My pup Lucy had a great stay at Shannon & Bert's today! She made herself right at home and really seemed to enjoy herself. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Des Moines commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
