Sara runs a warm, caring, and trustworthy doggy daycare and boarding service. We bring our pup, Enzo, here whenever life gets hectic, and he absolutely loves it. He gets to socialize with a variety of dogs in a safe, supervised environment, which gives us real peace of mind. Every time we drop him off, he’s tail-wagging and excited to go in—and that says it all. We’ve been coming here for several months, and the experience has been consistently excellent. Highly recommend to any dog parent looking for a reliable and loving place for their furry friend!

Francena is a loving, caring, and knowledgeable provider! She treats my senior Bichon like her own. She took prompt care of him when he was anxious (which he always is now that he is senior). She kept me posted and was very patient with his senior habits! She really knows dogs with all her experience in showing, breeding, grooming, and vet industries. I'm so happy to have found her!❤️

About: I understand that every pup has their own personality, and I enjoy giving them the love, patience, and attention they deserve while you're away. Whether your little companion enjoys short walks to the park, cozy lap time, playtime, or simply a calm and caring presence, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own and believe in providing reliable, loving care that gives both pets and their owners peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I’m currently retired, so I have all of the time needed to be with your pup. My lifestyle is ideal for pet sitting since I will be with them nearly every minute you’re gone. I live in an apartment that has a dedicated potty space for dogs just a short elevator ride away. There’s a park across the street for short walks. I’ve had dogs for many years and our neighbors are all very dog friendly! They love to say hi as we go in and out to potty and walk.

Nathaly came through to care for our 8 month GS puppy with such patience and understanding as we had to go through a family loss. It was hard at times to know what time to pick up, but Nathaly gave us a big relief to know Tobie was cared for. Also blessed with toys to help him stay occupied when not playing. Thank you Nathaly and Stella!!

About: Update: We have adopted 7/7/26 a Shih-tzu 10lb. I raised both a Shih Tzu-Poodle mix and a Tibetan Terrier from puppies into their senior years. They were truly part of our family, and after losing them, I’m not emotionally ready to adopt again. (My daughter got a dog now-7/7/2026) Pet sitting feels like the perfect win-win your pets will be showered with love, attention, and care, while also bringing that special furry companionship back into our home. I’m experienced in daily pet care, including brushing and coat maintenance. Since both of our dogs had coats that matted easily, daily brushing and regular grooming were essential, and I personally maintained and trimmed their coats myself. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve pet sat for friends and family during vacations, often caring for their pets for weeks at a time. I also worked as a nanny for several years, where I regularly cared for a German Shepherd who became one of my favorites. We took daily walks to the park, and I helped maintain his coat, especially during shedding season. My love for animals began growing up on a farm surrounded by dogs, cats, and frequent litters of puppies and kittens. Being able to witness and help care for animals from such a young age gave me a deep appreciation for them and taught me patience, attentiveness, and compassion. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I will always care for them as if they were part of my own family. My schedule is very flexible, I work from home in the evenings, the timing is perfect for winding down, they can relax in my office while I work or in our living room or room. In my home: Safety is my top priority. I have a large, fully fenced backyard, that connect directly to our lower living area allowing for secure and easy access for potty breaks. For variety i can take them around our neighborhood for walks and can utilize a large park at a nearby school for additional play time. Pet not good on walks, NO PROBLEM: Having owned a Tibetan Terrier who was incredibly loving with family and children, but reactive to other dogs on walks I deeply understand that every dog is different. If a pet is anxious or not good on walks, we can stay withing our private back yard. In the clients home: I follow the owners established routines and instructions to keep the pet safe and comfortable in their familiar environment, including tailored neighborhood walks.

About: I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter with real, hands-on experience — I’ve had my dog for 10 years and I care for my two cats daily. I’m attentive, responsible, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Pet care is already a natural part of my everyday routine. I take care of my two cats and my dog daily, from feeding and cleaning to giving them attention, playtime, and exercise. Because caring for animals is something I’m used to and genuinely enjoy, adding pet sitting into my schedule fits smoothly and feels like an extension of what I already do. At home, I take care of my pets by keeping them on a consistent routine—feeding them on time, cleaning their spaces, giving them playtime, exercise, and lots of attention. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved every day. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their specific instructions closely, maintain their pet’s usual routine, and keep the environment clean and calm. Whether at home or in a client’s home, I focus on giving each pet the same patience, care, and respect I give my own.

About: I’ve been caring for cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies for over 12 years. It started when I was young, helping family and friends with their pets, and naturally grew into fostering both puppies and adult dogs. Today, I live with a ragdoll cat, two mini schnauzer doggies, and regularly foster dogs. My 2 senior cats that I grew up with currently live with my mom. Every dog or puppy I foster and have in my home learns routines and tricks based on their needs. I’ve helped with leash training, crate and potty training, managing toy reactivity, and teaching commands like sit, shake, and touch. My pets get plenty of playtime, structure, and love and yours will too. I’m careful with pet introductions and always prioritize comfort and safety. I understand every animal is different and will listen closely to your concerns to provide personalized care. I also love sending regular photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, safe, and loved. I work from home, and I am pretty flexible on ensuring the care needed for your pet. I have a lot of time to spoil your pets! I have a fully fenced yard, and monitor pets when they are outside. I introduce pets slowly with positive association and ensure each pet is comfortable. I also have a fence to separate pets indoors if needed. When caring for friends/family's pets, I always ensure pets do not bolt out the door both when coming inside and leaving. When walking a pup, I always ensure their harness/collar is on correctly and have high reward treats/toys to ensure focus stays on me if there are distractions. I never overwhelm an animal and understand they take time to warm up, especially when it is my first time meeting them.

About: I’ve spent my entire life with dogs—from childhood through today. I’m the devoted parent of two spoiled, deeply loved Chinese Crested dogs. I have experience working with different breeds, personalities and individual needs, including senior dogs. I have a flexible work schedule, and will have plenty of time to care for, play with and walk your dogs while they’re in my care. BOARDING In my world, dogs are family, not pets. Your furry family member will get the same love, attention, and yes, spoiling, that my own dogs enjoy every single day. They are welcome to sleep in the bed, on the couch or in any place that gives them comfort. I have a fully fenced yard that they can enjoy as well. I’ll follow your specialized instructions for feeding and other routines. You can expect to receive photos and updates while they’re with me. I will make sure they get the exercise, fresh air and attention they deserve while staying safe. About: Hey! I'm Tony! We're 2 minutes off Highway 18 and 167, right next to downtown Auburn, so drop-off and pickup are quick whether you're commuting, running errands, or catching a flight. I've loved dogs since before I could walk, and these days I get to spend all day with them. Being home full time means your pup has company from the moment you drop off to the moment you're back. And since I only ever host two guest dogs at a time, there's plenty of one-on-one attention, a big fenced yard to romp in, and a calm house where everybody actually gets to relax. Your dog will be joining my crew. Ozzie is my 12-year-old Catahoula Cur and the chillest dude in the house. He's spent his whole life around dogs of every size and personality, and he's great at showing shy or nervous dogs that everything's okay here. Cleo is my German Shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, a year and a half old, and she's all play. Calm mentor, fun playmate. Whatever energy your dog brings, we've got a match for it. Good manners are part of daily life here. We'll keep up whatever your dog already knows, practicing things like Sit, Down, Stay, Place, and coming when called, woven naturally into walks, meals, and play. At pickup I'm happy to share what we worked on together so the good habits follow your dog home. Our days are pretty simple, and dogs love it! Breakfast, then a nice 1-2 mile walk with plenty of sniff time. Play in the yard, then the big midday nap. Afternoon feeding at 3, a little more practice, more play, and a mellow evening. Special diet, strict schedule, daily meds? No problem at all. Both of my own dogs have been special needs, so careful routines are just how we live here. Fun fact: before this I spent ten years as a software engineer at Amazon, so I'm a little obsessive about schedules and details. Your dog benefits. You'll also get plenty of photos during the stay. One family liked theirs so much they framed them. Want a little extra for your pup? Just ask when you book: - Bath before pickup, $30 (comes home fresh and fluffy) - One-on-one manners tune-up session, $20 - Solo adventure walk on a trail or big open field, $10 - Keepsake photo shoot, $25 (edited, high-res shots; everyday photo updates are always free) - Prefilled Kongs for the midday nap, $10 - Meals from our supply if packing food is a hassle, and other little extras, just ask Our girl Olive, the brown Catahoula in our photos, is the reason I do this. She taught us what great dog care looks like, and every dog who stays with us gets the Olive treatment. Anxious, reactive, quirky, particular? Tell me all about them. I'd love to meet your dog! Dog care is my full-time focus, so my schedule is built around the dogs. I'm home all day, every day, and up early, so breakfast is always on time and potty breaks happen frequently. The house is available for boarding and daycare nearly year-round, with the rare exception of a family vacation, and my calendar always reflects that. Whether you need a few hours or a few weeks, your dog gets my full attention the whole time. Early drop-off or late pickup? Just ask, we'll make it work. Our yard is fully fenced with plenty of room to run, and introductions to my two dogs are always slow and supervised. Ozzie is a calm, social senior who's great at helping shy or nervous dogs settle in, and Cleo is a friendly playmate for pups who want action. Your dog is treated as a member of the household for their entire stay, and the only unsupervised time is overnight while everybody's asleep. For sleeping, I have crates in a range of sizes and dog beds everywhere, and you're welcome to send your dog's own crate or bed if that's their comfort zone. If your dog needs a break from the pack, they can have their own room with individual attention and potty breaks. Questions or special requirements? Just reach out, I'm happy to accommodate.

This was the first time leaving our dogs with someone at their home so I was nervous but Michelle and Samuel were receptive to our questions and instructions. They communicated frequently with us and sent us lots of pictures and videos. Our dogs were so happy and tired when they came home. I never thought I could find people I trusted with my dogs but now I have. We will be using them again!

We’ve been using Happy Tails for daycare and boarding for several years, and we couldn’t be happier. Our dog, Honey, is extremely anxious around new people, so finding someone she trusts is no small feat. Sara was amazing from the very beginning—Honey took to her right away, which honestly says everything. Sara has a special ability to understand and connect with dogs, especially those with unique needs. Knowing Honey feels safe, comfortable, and excited to be there gives us so much peace of mind. We love that she gets plenty of playtime with other dogs while also receiving attentive, individualized care. Sara is always responsive, communicates quickly, and consistently reassures us that Honey is in great hands. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for the dogs she cares for keep us coming back to Happy Tails every time. We highly recommend Sara and Happy Tails! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Federal Way on Rover is $33.3 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 3,988 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Federal Way. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Federal Way commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,988 sitters in Federal Way, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
