“Axell did a great job looking after our 2 cats. They communicated well, sent us photos and videos and did everything we asked and more. For instance, there was a wind storm while we were gone and axell cleared branches off of our walkway. One of our cats has asthma and requires medicine twice a day so we are so happy that we had such a reliable cat sitter!”

“My first time using Rover so I was a little hesitant, but Jodi put me at ease during our meet and great. You can tell she truly loves animals. She was prompt with the scheduled drop by time and took pics of my cats for me! I’ll definitely be using her in the future. My cats seem to love her!”

“Kimberly was kind, responsive, and gave great updates on all the pets and playtime our cat was requesting :). We really appreciated that she came for a meet & greet beforehand, and loved receiving plenty of pictures every day. Thanks again!”

“Sarah is a wonderful person who is a true animal lover at heart. She is compassionate, sweet, flexible, and my puppers always love seeing her! Highly recommend hiring Sarah and will definitely book her again - very happy repeat customer here! Thanks Sarah ❤️”

“We are absolutely thankful for Jesse. And our Jax loves playing and hanging with him. He makes the time with him good. He gets so tired after playing, it breaks up his time alone during times we need help. He is so great with our lab and he will be our regular as long as he does this.”

“What can I say , Rose is awesome ! Prompt , courteous , communicative and super attentive. Her Rover cards are a pleasure to read. I knew my pup was in great hands and well cared for.”

About: My name is Samantha! I am teacher and have breaks to help out other dog owners. I have owned dogs my whole life. I am very safe and responsible and am used to managing 30 kids all day, I can definitely handle a couple pups! I will be very respectful of your time and can be flexible to accommodate you and your pup. I love going in walks, and would love to take yours on safe ones as well. I can do drop in visits and overnights as well, thank you!! I am off for tbe summer so I have lots of time currently! I no longer have pets of my own anymore, so it's even easier for me to make space in my schedule. I have a yard but it is not fully fenced so pets would always be leashed. I no longer have any animals in my home.
About: Alex has a 6 year old Golden Retriever at home which she loves and adores! Alex knows how important it is to provide and receive quality care, Alex will provide care to your dog while paying close attention to detail as needed. Whether it is stopping in to relieve your pet, taking them on a walk, playing with them, or a combination of such, Alex will care for you pet as best as she can- similar to how you would. If you choose to have Alex sit for your pet, they will get plenty of play time with her sweet and playful Golden Retriever named Bodhi. Alex is flexible and open to meet and greets to ensure the dogs are a good fit for positive interactions. I am currently home full time with my 9 month old baby, and my dog Bodhi. This gives me great availability to be present with the dogs throughout the day. I have a fully fenced yard and a good and safe walking neighborhood. The dogs are welcome to hangout in the house or outside as they prefer. Since I am home full time I can let them out to go potty as frequently as needed. With the rainy season upon us, I make sure to dry the dogs with a clean towel each time they come back inside.
“Provides exceptional service to our pups. She sends us great pictures, descriptive updates, and offers to do more than what was initially requested. Our dogs love Heather. She treats them like they are her own, and we could not be more grateful!”

“Winnie has been the BEST for Meko and we are so fortunate to have met her over a month ago. Meko and winnie have created a bond and I couldn't be happier!!! Thank you for genuinely caring for Meko!!”

“Monique did a wonderful job with our high energy 1 year old and her older brother. The pictures with the big smiles on their faces proved it all. She is highly recommended and we will be happy to have her sit again.”

“I have a diabetic cat who's afraid of everyone and requires insulin injections 2x a day. I have not been able to find anyone willing to take on this challenging situation, until I found Cassie on Rover. I swear she can walk on water and is a cat whisperer. She took the time to come and watch me do a glucose test and insulin injection before the first trip I've been able to take in 7 yrs , knowing she would take good care of Punkin. I was gone for 8 days and she came twice a day and Punkin didn't hide from her like she does with everyone but me. I could not recommend her highly enough and will definitely be planning longer trips, using Cassie without worrying my cat would suffer. If you want a sweet, reliable and caring cat sitter, you want Cassie on Rover.”

“What a relief to find this compassionate and friendly jem for our dog. Issana was so dedicated to our pups happiness and wellbeing while we were away, and I felt so comfortable knowing that our pup was safe and loved. We will absolutely book Issana again!”
“Ricardo was great! I needed help giving my cat medication 2x daily. He let me know when he was heading over and arrived on time. Olive did great with him, she was relaxed and cooperated nicely. 😊”

“Emily is literally the best. She is so engaging with the dog. During drop-ins, she actually plays and interacts with Kenzai rather than “just checking in”. Kenzai absolutely adores Emily. She’s his best friend!! Emily is incredibly respectful, professional, and kind.”

“I really appreciated being able to trust Tiana with our pets over the holiday. She was responsive to their needs and communicated wonderfully throughout her time with them. I felt like she truly cared for our animals like they were her own.”

“Julie has been walking our 50 lb dog for several weeks and recently stopped over to feed and look in on both our dogs while we were away. I appreciate how communicative she is and she is so sweet with our dogs. Would definitely recommend her!”

Cassy is the best! She took great care of my 4 cats and household. We loved working with her. She is communicative, attentive to detail and super flexible. She sent us videos and photos everyday throughout our trip. We will not hesitate to have her again, she really cares about the kitties.

Kim was so great to work with. Wonderful communication, Sasha really took to her almost right away and was probably a little bit disappointed when I came home. Ha! Would absolutely trust her with any of my pets and in my home. Thank you, Kim, you are such a gift to pet owners who have a lot of travel.

Helped us tremendously with our social cat, Whitney, who was staying alone for her first time. Emma made sure Whitney was getting the attention she craves and needs while we were on vacation, and helped make sure Whitney had far fewer complaints from us when we got home - cannot thank her enough for her help!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Federal Way. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
