“Keri was a wonderful cat sitter for our two boys. One of our cats is very shy and takes a lot of patience to get him out of his hiding spots. Keri went at his pace and by the end of the cat sitting, our shy boy was coming out to join in the play sessions (something he only does with us around). We highly recommend Keri!”

“Lauren and Ernest provided excellent care and love to our pets- we have a very temperamental cat who loves Lauren, an affectionate doggo who soaked up all the snuggles from Ernest and our lizard Rocky enjoyed a salad prepared by Lauren. The two of them have extensive pet experience and cared for our three pets like their own. Thank you!!”

“Siyun was so great! She went above and beyond my expectations. Always kept me well informed and took Greatcare of both my cats. Will definitely rebook with her again!!”
“It was awesome knowing that our pets were being cared for. We didn’t worry a bit. Andrhu immediately made us feel comfortable leaving. He went above and beyond. I strongly recommend Andru to everyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter.”

“Mandi was the best! She took great care of my cats and was totally comfortable and willing to do insulin injections. She clearly cares a lot about animals and I felt very safe leaving mine with her!”

“Glad to have a rover like Rose. She sent pictures and updates daily on how each drop in visit with my cats went and also emptied the litter boxes and litter robot. I will definitely book her service again.”

“I was anxious to find a dog sitter, and I wanted to make sure I found someone with a decent amount of experience. Sophia was more than happy to do a meet-and-greet with both of my dogs. She met them both where they were at, and they both had a successful first experience getting care from someone other than me or a close friend.”

“Ivy was fantastic! I appreciated her patience, understanding, and consideration with Aspen. She was kind, thoughtful and careful while Aspen became comfortable with her. Scheduling and coordinating with Ivy was a breeze. She put in time and effort to make the schedule and manage everything through Rover. I'll be using Ivy in the future, without a doubt.”

About: My family has had dogs and cats all my life, so I’ve been hanging with them for a while! When I was growing up, I would take care and watch my family and friends pets and I would love to continue doing that now! I’m currently a WWU student and home for the summer! I can care for pets before and after I work and am very open on most weekends! I am very well experienced with taking care of pets, like on walks, feeding, playing with, etc. I’m very active myself, so long walks/short walks I can do it all!
“Provides exceptional service to our pups. She sends us great pictures, descriptive updates, and offers to do more than what was initially requested. Our dogs love Heather. She treats them like they are her own, and we could not be more grateful!”

About: I've never been without pets in my life, big dogs and small, as well as multiple cats. I have a limited experience with guinea pigs and hamsters. I am currently going through Vet Tech school with Pierce college. I also have been volunteering at the Auburn Valley Humane Society and there cat cafe for some time now. With our 3 pups and 2 cats they get quite a bit of play time in our 5 person household. Cats are my responsibility so every day they get their litter boxes cleaned, water and food is full and clean, and that my older cat got his meds. Our dogs get poop cleaned a few times a week and are fed twice a day. It has blended into my day to day life to make sure they are happy and healthy. Watching body language is key, every animal is different on whether they want to be left alone, approached slowly or are happy as can be. The first part of Vet Tech school was body language and how to approach with everyone's safety in mind.
“We are so lucky to found Brittany! Her and her daughter took such great care of our cat. We appreciated the detailed updates and lots of photos/videos. In addition to proving our cat with such great attention, his food and potty area were cleaned. We had such a worry free vacation. We highly recommend her to sit your fur baby, no doubt!!!”

Anna made drop-in visits to our cats while we were away for two weeks, and what a relief it was knowing they were well taken care of! Anna was great at communicating, responsive, and shared updates and photos regularly. She’s smart, friendly, responsible, and trustworthy.. everything we needed to feel okay about being away from our fur babies for that long. Thanks so much Anna!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pacific. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
