“Provides exceptional service to our pups. She sends us great pictures, descriptive updates, and offers to do more than what was initially requested. Our dogs love Heather. She treats them like they are her own, and we could not be more grateful!”

About: I've never been without pets in my life, big dogs and small, as well as multiple cats. I have a limited experience with guinea pigs and hamsters. I am currently going through Vet Tech school with Pierce college. I also have been volunteering at the Auburn Valley Humane Society and there cat cafe for some time now. With our 3 pups and 2 cats they get quite a bit of play time in our 5 person household. Cats are my responsibility so every day they get their litter boxes cleaned, water and food is full and clean, and that my older cat got his meds. Our dogs get poop cleaned a few times a week and are fed twice a day. It has blended into my day to day life to make sure they are happy and healthy. Watching body language is key, every animal is different on whether they want to be left alone, approached slowly or are happy as can be. The first part of Vet Tech school was body language and how to approach with everyone's safety in mind.
“Jessica was great. She was able to help me out with a last minute request and really saved the day. Always on time, posted check ins with pics and my pup was very happy. She’s the best.”

“We are so lucky to found Brittany! Her and her daughter took such great care of our cat. We appreciated the detailed updates and lots of photos/videos. In addition to proving our cat with such great attention, his food and potty area were cleaned. We had such a worry free vacation. We highly recommend her to sit your fur baby, no doubt!!!”

About: Animal lover, retired after 35 years working as an Auditor for the U.S. Army. My menagerie over the past 30 years has included dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, birds, and fish. Currently owned by energetic husky girl named Tikanni Rose and a sweet tortie kitty named Willow. I have a college age daughter living at home who can take of my fur baby while I take care of yours. I have experience with senior pets, puppies, and kittens, and previously fostered for a cat rescue. I'm retired, so I have plenty of time to devote to your fur babies. I am available for pet sitting services in your home, including overnight stays or drop in visits, and dog walking. Home owner on a quiet cul-de-sac with a fully fenced yard. Will schedule a meet and greet to ensure I fully understand your pet's needs. Happy to provide photos and videos.
“Diana took good care of our cats and made sure our diabetic cat took her medicine. She kept us informed of progress and sent pictures. Would definitely hire her again.”

About: I have taken care of my 3 childhood dogs growing up and I am currently studying to become a vet at Boise state university. So I am very interested in pet care!! I am currently back from college and would love any opportunity to take care of your furry friends. I am available all throughout the week!! I will make sure you give your furry friends a lot of attention no matter if it’s long walks, cuddles, play time, or nap time!!
About: My name is Samantha! I am teacher and have breaks to help out other dog owners. I have owned dogs my whole life. I am very safe and responsible and am used to managing 30 kids all day, I can definitely handle a couple pups! I will be very respectful of your time and can be flexible to accommodate you and your pup. I love going in walks, and would love to take yours on safe ones as well. I can do drop in visits and overnights as well, thank you!! I am off for tbe summer so I have lots of time currently! I no longer have pets of my own anymore, so it's even easier for me to make space in my schedule. I have a yard but it is not fully fenced so pets would always be leashed. I no longer have any animals in my home.
“Susan was a great sitter for my two cats when I went on a week vacation. She took great care of them and gave them plenty of love when I was away. I enjoyed receiving lots of pictures of them each day and updates.”

“Emma was great with our cat! She made sure she always had water and food, cleaned her litter box, and gave her lots of love and attention. She also sent lots of pictures and was great at communicating. Will definitely book her again!”

“Jazmyne was wonderful! We booked very last minute after realizing we needed help for our long vacation and she was very accommodating and helpful with that. Her check ins with pictures were reassuring while we were away and she did such a great job taking care of our cats. It was also our first time using Rover and she helped with the app and made the experience great. We highly recommend and intend to rebook for our next trip!”
About: I’ve had my sweet boy, Brundage, for 5+ years. Love being with him, taking him on walks, and snuggling him. He is a sweet long haired Doxie! I am currently in a transition with my career, so I am pretty flexible. Love taking dogs for walks and just loving on them! Just want to make sure they’re happy and safe! My 5 YO Doxie likes other dogs, but loves cats! We have a small fenced in backyard and live in an area that has access to great areas for walking dogs.

About: Hi! My name is Monae, and caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I have hands-on experience working with dogs through my volunteer work at the Humane Society and Resilient Sanctuary, where I help with walking dogs, providing enrichment and socialization, cleaning kennels, preparing food and water, and assisting with daily care. I am comfortable around dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I am currently pursuing a degree in psychology, and I have a strong interest in animal behavior and dog training. This has helped me develop patience, observation skills, and an understanding of how to build trust with both pets and their owners. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or companionship while you’re away, I will treat them with the same care, attention, and respect that I would want for my own pet. I know how important it is to have peace of mind when someone else is caring for your furry family member, and I am committed to providing reliable care and clear communication every step of the way. Whether it's walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or companionship, I will make sure your dog receives plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you're away. I live in an apartment, but I make sure dogs receive plenty of walks, exercise, potty breaks, and attention. I always follow the owner's instructions and take the time to learn each dog's routine and needs. I currently volunteer with the Humane Society and Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary, where I work with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Keri was wonderful! She was very accommodating and communicative. She really gave us peace of mind leaving our dog under her care while away. She bonded with our dog Archie relatively quick and you could tell she has a way with animals. Would book her again in the future without hesitation. All around great service and experience!

I was anxious to find a dog sitter, and I wanted to make sure I found someone with a decent amount of experience. Sophia was more than happy to do a meet-and-greet with both of my dogs. She met them both where they were at, and they both had a successful first experience getting care from someone other than me or a close friend.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pacific choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Pacific with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pacific. On Rover:

- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
