About: I have owned and cared for multiple dog breeds, I dog sit a ton for friends and family. I love providing a safe and loving environment for your precious fur baby’s. I work from home which gives me incredible flexibility to provide your pet one on one attention. I have a work schedule that allows time for multiple walks and playtime. I have a fenced yard and I also have a 4 year old (neutered) male dog that loves to have play dates. I live in a nice housing development with sidewalks which enables safe dog walking. I send multiple updates and pictures to you while you’re away. It is important your pets are friendly with other dogs and well socialized. I do slow introductions with my dog to make sure they are comfortable with each other. Safety is my top priority so any dog showing aggression will be separated. Dogs will be fed separately for safety. Please have your dogs Rover profile filled out and up to date with care instructions and vet info. I do not require meet and greets, but usually have the flexibility to set up a meeting if you’d prefer. All dogs are required to wear a collar with ID tag,

About: I have had a lifelong passion for animals and experience caring for both dogs and cats. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, from miniature dachshunds to Saint Bernards, and I am comfortable with pets of different ages, personalities, and care needs. Throughout the years, I have helped family, friends, and neighbors care for their pets, including week-long pet-sitting assignments where I was responsible for feeding, walking, administering medications, cleaning litter boxes, and providing companionship and attention. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or requires special care and medication, I am committed to providing reliable, attentive, and compassionate care. As a pet caregiver, I treat every animal as if they were my own and work hard to ensure both pets and owners have peace of mind while they're apart. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide pets with the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering medication, or simply spending quality time with them, I make sure each pet receives personalized care. I am committed to maintaining your pet’s regular routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions provided by pet owners, including feeding schedules, medication requirements, exercise routines, and any special needs. I take the time to build trust with each pet and create a calm, positive environment where they feel safe and cared for. I provide attentive supervision, plenty of affection, and regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

I admit I had separation anxiety leaving my two elder cats due to all the extra attention they received during the pandemic! This was my first trip since end of 2019 and Susan (at the last minute) came to my rescue after a relative had to cancel pet sitting. Susan came on time twice a day, sent pictures daily, and kitties looked happy upon my return. Thank you so much for your time and care. Much appreciated!!

Peace of mind is knowing someone will drop by and make sure all is okay, even if my cats are rude fraidy-cats and hide under the beds the whole time :-) Thanks for making my vacation better by knowing I didn't have to worry about anything going wrong and unattended!

About: I had a Neapolitan mastiff and a beagle poodle mix. I recently adopted a poodle. I’m a dependable animal lover and will follow all your doggie care instructions. Your pups will be loved, well-cared for, have a lot of fun playing if that’s what they like! SPACE: I own my home. I have a fenced yard dog run, so your babies will be safe and secured. I have a 2300 sq ft home on .78 acres, so plenty of room to run and play. My neighborhood has one dog-friendly park within a short walking distance and we have two big dog parks close by (driving). Most roads have a speed limit of 25 miles per hour, so very safe to walk around the neighborhood. But the property is large, so we walk around it too. Unfortunately at this time I am not hosting puppies (under 1 year) or dogs that are not potty-trained. I work from home two days a week and am available weekends all day. I work out and walk in the morning rain or shine. My work schedule is very flexible so I can go out for walks multiple times a day and can drive anywhere if needed. My evenings are also open. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I’m an active and responsible homeowner without kids and only 1 dog so your fur baby will be showered with love and care from me, and companion ship from a furry friend! If I am caring for your pet in your home, I can either leave my dog at home with my husband or bring her along if you wish.

About: I’ve taken care of my own personal two dogs and one cat since I was 10 years old. Since I turned 14 I became the designated pet sitter in my neighborhood and took care of various pets. I have experience in training young pets and have a genuine love for all animals. I know how hard it can be to have a pet and a busy schedule so I would love to help others take care of their furry friends :) I am in school currently all day Monday-Wednesday but can provide overnight care or drop ins after I am out of school at 7:30 pm. The rest of the week I have open availability to care for your furry friends😊 I live in an apartment with plenty of room for your pets to run around and play as well as a large complex with grass fields for them to play in, use the restroom, and go on walks. The complex is gated so there is zero chance your pet can get out but I will also never leave them unsupervised.

About: I have loved and cared for dogs aged 3 months to elderly for most of my life. They have been a constant companion ever since my first day at my family home. Having owned and raised minimally 3 dogs at a time, I have learned a great deal on proper treatment and behavior reading. I still have two old men I care for now, both with medical care that’s required of me. I love meeting new friends and respecting their needs! I work part time, with shorter shifts, so I have availability minimum twice a day, early to late morning and late afternoon thru the evening. My schedule is open and relatively flexible. I am happy to provide any necessary services including walks, food prep, medicine giving, socializing, play time, and calm restful visits :) Whatever my furry friend will need.

About: My name is Samantha! I am teacher and have breaks to help out other dog owners. I have owned dogs my whole life. I am very safe and responsible and am used to managing 30 kids all day, I can definitely handle a couple pups! I will be very respectful of your time and can be flexible to accommodate you and your pup. I love going in walks, and would love to take yours on safe ones as well. I can do drop in visits and overnights as well, thank you!! I am off for tbe summer so I have lots of time currently! I no longer have pets of my own anymore, so it's even easier for me to make space in my schedule. I have a yard but it is not fully fenced so pets would always be leashed. I no longer have any animals in my home.

About: Hi! I’m Kayla, a lifelong animal lover with a special soft spot for dogs and senior pets. 🐾 My love for animals really began when I worked at a dog daycare for three years, where I learned how to safely handle dogs with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and needs. That experience stuck with me long after I left and helped shape the way I care for animals today. I’m now a proud dog and cat owner myself, and caring for animals is one of my favorite parts of daily life. I have a particularly big heart for senior pets, my own rescue cat was adopted at age 12 and is now 20 years old! I also have hands-on experience with reactive dogs. My own dog struggled with reactivity as a puppy, and I spent a lot of time learning how to safely and calmly walk her on leash. Because of that experience, I’m comfortable reading dog body language and creating calm, safe walks for dogs who may need a little extra patience. When your pet is with me, they’ll get: • Safe, attentive walks • Lots of love and patience • Care tailored to their personality and needs • Updates and photos so you know they’re doing great Whether your dog loves long sniffy walks, playtime, or just a calm companion, I’d love to help take care of them! Pet care fits really naturally into my routine because I already structure my days around caring for my own pets. I have a flexible schedule right now, which allows me to offer walks, drop-ins, and sitting throughout the week. I enjoy getting outside for walks and spending time with animals, so adding more pet care into my day is a great fit. I always try to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I make sure pets get plenty of exercise, attention, and calm companionship while keeping feeding, potty, and walk schedules consistent. I also keep spaces clean and safe and send regular updates so owners know how their pets are doing. I’m attentive to each animal’s personality and body language, whether that means lots of playtime, a slower “sniff walk,” or a calm presence for more anxious pets. I also have experience with reactive dogs, so I’m comfortable managing walks carefully and keeping them safe around other dogs and distractions.

Can we leave more than 5 stars? We are so glad we chose Ana to watch our two large Doodles. Twice a day for a whole month she stopped by our house to make sure they had an outside break, played with them and did some training. She was super sweet and gentle with them, and they really enjoyed their time with her. Ana is consistent, dependable and trustworthy. Do not hesitate to choose Ana for your booking. Thanks Ana! Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Edgewood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Edgewood with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Edgewood. On Rover:

  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
