In the past I have taken our pups to a kennel which places them in a small cage most of the day but Harlie takes the dogs right into her home which has a large fenced in back yard. “This was my first time booking with Diahann and not only was my baby treated like family, he was given opportunities to choose an open kennel, soft blanket, or comfy bed to safely rest his little head on during the day. The peace of mind was amazing when seeing Sterno in so many adorable pics, as well as how kind Diahann's granddaughter treated my baby as they played fetch in a wonderful video I received early on in his stay. Sterno is very active and playful, and I couldn't have requested a better sitter for him!! Diahann truly cares like it's her own dog. There are cameras, a huge yard, and Sterno was very calm during pickup, which showcased how comfortable he had been. I am adding that Diahann was very responsive to a suggested video meet, and proceeded to give a wonderful tour of her Dog-friendly and dog-safe home before Sterno's drop off date. About: I’ve had cats in my life since a very young age! My first cat was an outdoor cat we inherited from our neighbors when I was 3. She found her way to our house and never left. About: I have volunteered with multiple animal shelters (including fostering), a big cat sanctuary, and has worked at a veterinary clinic and pet boarding facility. I will be your pet's main caregiver, and have also owned dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, ferrets, frogs, and turtles throughout my life. I recently cared for our senior dog (18-years-old!) with medical needs, and fostered puppies, so I am very understanding of dog needs. I understand how to make dogs feel safe and part of our family, and will send daily pictures to you so you know they're in good hands. **Have pets that aren't dogs?** I also own a cat, chickens, two turtles, and frogs. I volunteer at a cat rescue and have volunteered at a big cat sanctuary, have had hamsters, ferrets, an iguana, axolotls, fish.... I can handle most animals, just ask! **Notes** - Rates are per 24 hours. There will be an additional late fee of $5.00 for every hour past the agreed time for pick-up, unless you clearly communicate with us about your timeline. - Housesitting includes an overnight stay and care as needed (feeding, walks, and potty breaks) throughout the day. I may need to care for other clients or my own pets, or go into work. If you require constant care (24hrs per day, animal cannot be left alone), this needs to be arranged beforehand and the price will be higher than my regular housesitting rate. I work from home so time for pet care is flexible, I usually have plenty of time for walks or hikes with dogs that are visiting. About: I have owned pets my entire life and miss having them around. Timing is not right for me now to have my own so I am opening my life up to caring for others’ pets.
