“Sally & her family did a wonderful job taking care of our two dogs. She made us feel comfortable from the meet & greet onwards. We had never left them before and were anxious about doing it. But, Sally sent us lots of messages, photo's & videos during our week long trip away which reassured us that our dogs were doing fine in her care. We are so glad to have found her and will definitely have her take care of our pups again.”

“Dennis and Lynn were great! They were able to accommodate Frankie on super short notice and were nothing but welcoming. Lots of video and photo updates and were genuinely great at caring for her while I was gone. She loved her stay with them and I could not recommend them more. Awesome experience all around!”

“Loc is amazing! Our original sitter had to cancel the day before our trip and fortunately Loc was available and willing to watch Ember without meeting her first. Loc was very prompt with messages, ready to pick her up and drop her off, and cared for her so well with all the other puppies. Loc sent regular pictures/videos and had excellent updates. We would definitely book with Loc again!”

“My dog Bernie always has the best time with Marilyn and her dogs. She takes such great care of him! He always enjoys his stay with her and her family. With Marilyn I never have to worry about Bernie. I know that he is being cared for the same way she cares for her own dogs.”

“Jordan was fantastic. My boy loved her. She was easy to communicate with. He’s not an easy dog and she was patient and loving with him. Highly recommend.”

“Charlie has such a great time when he goes and visit his friends at Miss Heather‘s! He comes home from being properly spoiled and just sleeps. And I can tell he misses it there already. Already looking forward to the next visit!”

“Kaitlin and her husband Nathan took excellent care of my little dog Molly. This is the first time I left her alone with someone else, for over a couple weeks. They helped Molly transition from having a minor separation anxiety, to become fully comfortable by the end of the stay. They cared for her like their own dog. Kaitlin sent photo updates every few days. I recommend Kaitlin, and would book with her again!”

“Keana was a life saver this weekend and she and Milo just clicked. I was nervous about their interaction since it was the first time meeting but milo was a good boy per usual. We will definitely see her again ❤️”

“Mariah provided Murphy with a warm safe environment during a lengthy cold and rainy spell. She sent pics of him playing with other dogs and that was very heartwarming to see. Murphy was happy and healthy when we returned to fetch him. Thanks again Mariah.”

“Shannon and Bert are wonderful. Rat has stayed with them several times over the years, and she is always genuinely happy to see them. They take excellent care of her, communicate clearly, and have been incredibly accommodating when unexpected travel plans have come up. It gives me tremendous peace of mind knowing Rat is with people who are so kind, attentive, and trustworthy. We are very grateful for Shannon and Bert, and recommend them wholeheartedly.”

“Oneeda was very good with our German Shepherd. He liked her in the moment he saw her. It was obvious, Oneeda has a very natural and confidant approach to dogs that they can feel comfortable with her right away. We definitely would love to leave our dog with her again.”

“Cindy did a fantastic job watching Cassie! She was attentive, thoughtful, and listened to all of the details we shared about Cassie’s routine and personality. It was clear that Cassie was well cared for and comfortable while we were away. Cindy was also highly communicative, providing regular updates and sending photos, which gave us great peace of mind. We really appreciated the care and attention she gave, and we wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch Cassie again. Highly recommend!”

“Kristine was absolutely amazing! She was so caring and professional with my sweet boy, Marlie. She kept me in the loop with regular updates and pictures of Marlie while he was under her care. She even took a last-minute call for boarding because of a family event. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for boarding in Puyallup and the surrounding areas. I was completely satisfied with her service!”

“This is my second time! Stanley and family are trustworthy! Very good communication. My dogs are so happy to meet their dachshund, Charlie:) I could enjoy family vacation time without any concerns or stress. Thank you very much.”

“Our dog Penny always has so much fun at Mrs. Katie's house. She loves playing with their dog Blue and snuggling, relaxing later. It's her fun vacation home away from home.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edgewood
Our girls had a great time playing ball, sunbathing, walking and relaxing! 10/10 experience for them, they came home happy and tired so I know they had a great time! Jeanie showed so much care for them, and was super communicative when our Peach wasn’t feeling well. Highly recommend for any pet sitting needs!

Anastasia was great. She took care of our dog in her house and took care of our cat in our home. I would 100% recommend her and will definitely be using her services again. This was her 2/3rd time taking care of our pets. She sent pictures and videos daily. We were gone over a week. Happy we found her. Thanks for everything.

Angela took excellent care of all four my four dogs during challenging times. Great communication with photos of the pups. Quick to respond. Angela genuinely cares, which is evident in her level of care. Unfortunately all four my dogs had various health challenges during their stay, which in spite of high demands, Angela handled professionally and promptly. One of my pups is diabetic and unfortunately had a pancreatic flare up, which is life threatening if not treated promptly. Angela took him to the emergency room and thanks to that, he recovered in no time. Angela is responsible.Highly recommended for all your dogs needs.Angela shone in the most challenging of circumstances! Look no further.

We are so grateful for Thao and her husband for taking such good care of our dog! She sent frequent updates and was very quick to respond! I can tell my dog felt right at home and was taken care of well. I would recommend Thao to anyone and will absolutely hire her again to take care of my baby!

Nancy and her family did an amazing job caring for our two Samoyeds while we were travelling internationally. Our puppies (9 years old) were welcomed into their home, and her family provided a warm, loving, secure space that the dogs could relax in and enjoy. One of the dogs required meds to be administered three times a day, and Nancy committed to this without hesitation. This was the second time we've used Nancy and will definitely be using her again. We highly recommend her and her amazing family!

Jessie and her family were very warm and kind to Onyx while we were away. Though our pup is still an energized young thing, Jessie and family played with her enough to help her feel exercised and distracted awaiting us to return. I am eager to have Jessie hang with Onyx again when we have another holiday. Trusting that your pup sitter is going to treat your dog like you would is everything to us! 💙

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
