“Wilbur’s week-long stay with Charlotte was all around easy! We got video and photo updates that kept us reassured that he was a happy guy during his stay. Charlotte was also very considerate when our travel plans changed. We’d be happy to book with her again next time we travel.”

“McKenzie was so great! She cared for our dog so well. Our dog has anxiety and is very timid in new situations and she made him feel right at home. She sends updates and photos every day. Definitely will recommend her and have her dog sit for us again!”

“Carol was a fantastic host. She had great communication and her home was perfect for my dog with a big fenced in back yard and plenty of space inside for my dog to rest and be comfortable while I was away. I will definitely be booking her again when I go out of town.”

“This was the first time I left my dogs over night so I was extremely nervous but Michelle and Samuel were so great! They sent a ton of pictures and video. Most of all they cared about our dogs like their own. My dogs looked so happy and well cared for. Thank you both!!”

“Val did a great job watching my dog! He stayed with her for a weekend and Val made sure to send me lots of updates about how he was doing. She is really good with dogs and I was able to enjoy my trip knowing that my dog was in good hands!”
“100% Satisfied with Molly. She was great with Ginger (Australian Cattle Dog). She sentt pictures and video so I knew what Ginger was up to for the day. 100% will book her again. Thanks Molly!”

“Jordan was fantastic. My boy loved her. She was easy to communicate with. He’s not an easy dog and she was patient and loving with him. Highly recommend.”

“Mariana was a great sitter for our pups. She was very transparent in making sure it was OK if she had other dogs at the house. She was very thorough and made me feel like she really cared for the boys. She sent tons of pictures which were great! They came home happy and sleepy! :)”

“Cindy did a fantastic job watching Cassie! She was attentive, thoughtful, and listened to all of the details we shared about Cassie’s routine and personality. It was clear that Cassie was well cared for and comfortable while we were away. Cindy was also highly communicative, providing regular updates and sending photos, which gave us great peace of mind. We really appreciated the care and attention she gave, and we wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch Cassie again. Highly recommend!”

“We cannot recommend Priscilla highly enough! She watched our golden retriever, Murphy, and treated him like absolute royalty. From the moment we dropped him off, we felt completely at ease—Priscilla kept us updated with adorable photos, fun little stories, and thoughtful check-ins that made us feel so connected even while we were away. Murphy got to go on real adventures—walks, playtime, and tons of love—and it was clear from the photos that he was having the time of his life. He came home happy, tired (in the best way), and clearly adored. She gave him the kind of attention and joy we would have wanted for him. <3 If you’re looking for someone who will care for your dog with love, intention, and reliability, Priscilla is your person. We feel so lucky to have found her!”

“The most amazing doggy sitter on the planet i think. She loves animals so much you can see it and feel it when talking to her. My doggies seems so happy there. Plenty love and attention. I felt comfortable leaving them there. Good home. Excellent communication. Very kind person. Absolutely will recommend her to everyone and absolutely will use her again (if she will have us). Fantastic experience.”

“Nova seems to really enjoy going to mollies house, the last time I went to pick her up I was waiting on her leash and she was outside with me when the door reopened to bopped right back into the house. It's so good to know my babes is being taken care of and likes being there”

“Tiffany is the best! She took care of my pit bull, Annie and sent me tons of update messages and photos/videos. She made me feel so comfortable leaving Annie with her and her wonderful kids. I will 100% be putting Annie back under Tiffany’s care the next time I need a dog sitter.”

“Kristine very professional and very thoughtful and kind to our dog Apollo. We recieved several pictures a day from Kristine showing Apollo at play in her fenced back yard, playing and interacting with Apollo in her home and getting his treats, always with his usual big smile. Apollo was very happy to see us when came to take him home but both my wife and I felt he wouldn't mind staying longer if we would let him. We would strongly recommend Kristine to anyone that needs a dog minder. She is the absolute best!!!”

“The BEST. We had our regular sitter cancel last Minute due to a family emergency which is understandable and we thought we wouldn’t be able to find a sitter last minute nonetheless a holiday weekend and Caitlyn and Andrew came through in the last hr to save our family trip. They provided multiple pictures and videos every couple hrs, updates a couple times a day , we felt very comfortable and relieved that we left our Luka with them . I will be using them again and I recommend to anyone.”

“Xiaotong did such an amazing job with our senior pup! She spoiled him like royalty (in the best way) and sent lots of pics and video! Thank you so much! We would love to book again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Puyallup
As an experienced “dog parent” who has used boarding services extensively, this was our best experience ever. Noelle communicated well and treated our pups with love and care. Noelle updated us regularly with photos and pawgress reports which allowed us to truly relax on our vacation and feel at ease. Noelle handled the introduction of our three dogs with her two dogs effortlessly. They all enjoyed playtime and bonding over the course of the week and seemed reluctant to leave. Noelle was knowledgeable and attentive to the pups’ needs and we would absolutely recommend Noelle for the care of our girls in the future.

Angela took excellent care of all four my four dogs during challenging times. Great communication with photos of the pups. Quick to respond. Angela genuinely cares, which is evident in her level of care. Unfortunately all four my dogs had various health challenges during their stay, which in spite of high demands, Angela handled professionally and promptly. One of my pups is diabetic and unfortunately had a pancreatic flare up, which is life threatening if not treated promptly. Angela took him to the emergency room and thanks to that, he recovered in no time. Angela is responsible.Highly recommended for all your dogs needs.Angela shone in the most challenging of circumstances! Look no further.

Hanna and family were great with my 2 dogs. She sent an update with pictures every day of them having fun and being loved on. Dixie loved all the toys they had and Ty loved all the attention. Her dog Milo became an instant friend. Everything was great. The only negative feedback I have was picking up the dogs was a challenge. No one answered the door or phone at our scheduled pick up time and I had to wait about 10 min but Hanna apologized and had the dogs ready to go.

Zach took amazing care of my pup! He was great at sending updates so I never had to worry about how my dog was doing. There was great communication in scheduling pickup and dropoff, and he was flexible. His two dogs seemed very welcoming to other dogs as well. I will definitely have my dog stay with Zach again!

We had a wonderful experience with Ms. Monique our dog, Niko, while we were on vacation. She is incredibly sweet and treated Niko like he was her own. Her home is spacious, clean, and has a great backyard for dogs to enjoy. She kept us updated every day with photos and messages, which really helped put our minds at ease while we were away. It was clear that Niko was well cared for, happy, and getting lots of attention and love. We felt completely comfortable trusting her with Niko and are so grateful for the excellent care she provided. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Nancy was absolutely amazing with my dog Bella, who has anxiety. From the moment I dropped her off, Nancy was patient, gentle, and incredibly understanding of Bella’s needs. She treated Bella like her own and made her feel safe and comfortable. Nancy kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. Bella came home happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for a better boarding experience and highly recommend Nancy to anyone—especially if you have a dog with anxiety.

We had an amazing experience with our cat sitter! From the moment we dropped off our cat, she was friendly, kind, and made us feel completely at ease. She kept us updated throughout our vacation, letting us know how our cat was doing and sending reassuring messages. What impressed us the most was how quickly our cat opened up to her—something that rarely happens with strangers. It was clear she genuinely cared, and our cat felt safe and comfortable with her right away. We’re so grateful for her care and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate cat sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
