“I had to unexpectedly request a last boarding for my 9 week old kitten for the weekend and Brandie responded within the hour of my request. She sent me sooo many pictures of my kitty throughout the weekend and really put me at ease and did a great job. Will definitely use her again!”

“This was my first time leaving my pooch and Mollie made it a very wonderful experience. She kept me up to date on Harleys happiness. She truly went above and beyond my expectations. I believe Harley will be making visits again soon and often. Thank you Mollie Harley and I appreciate you!”

“Took excellent care of our active young dog. Sent photos and videos daily. He definitely had a good time playing with her dogs! Thank you for all your help while we were away!”

“Lộc took fantastic care of my dog while I was out of town for the weekend. He sent me multiple photos/videos of my pup throughout the day every day while I was away which made me feel so at ease! I've never left my dog with a stranger before so I was feeling super nervous, but thankfully Lộc is a stranger no longer!! Can't recommend him enough, I will definitely be booking with him again in the future!”

“Very responsive, sent pictures, my dog had fun, got lots of exercise in her fenced in yard. I got videos, pics and text updates. I’d definitely recommend and I will visit again.”

“Brent and his family cared for our little Dottie like she was his own. His daughters are great with Dottie, and his dogs are friends of hers now too. We had a long time away from home, and we were at ease knowing that she was happy and well take care of with Brent and crew. Thanks for the updates and sweet photos!”

“Christen and Hugo were, in a word, FANTASTIC. They walked my two pooches at least a few times per day, took them to the dog park and when a minor incident required my Bear visit the vet, they were all over it, keeping me well informed all along. SO thankful for their diligence and caring!”
“My pup had a great time with Priscilla, Millie, and her other daycare pups! He has a blast with being in a pack and having extra play time and new activities with them. Priscilla does a great job taking care of him while I'm away and communicating with me before and throughout his time with her.”

“Mayo thoroughly enjoyed his stay with them! They were very great at giving updates, sending photos and were so good with our dog. I would gladly recommend them to anyone and also use their services again in the future!”

“Jennifer was such a great host for my doggies. She made my first time with rover worth while and would love to book with her again for any vacations. She’s very experienced and knowledgeable of labs (I’m sure all other dogs). Since my dogs are young they could be a handful and with her experience she was able to do some training during their stay. I highly recommend her to first time rover users or just anyone looking for a skilled host with great professionalism and communication skills.”

“We were so happy we found Angela to watch our pup! She is super bubbly and friendly and made sure we were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about our boy ❤️ looking forward to booking with her more in the future!”

“Rebecca was the greatest sitter ever! We felt awful to leave our pup with a sitter over the holidays, but she made sure he was well taken care of! Easy to communicate with. She was even able to keep him for an extra day when we experienced a travel hiccup. Chauncey was so happy being surrounded by her loving family and other friendly dogs. We will use you again! Thanks for making our stay stress-free!”

“Khaytlen was absolutely wonderful! We had our dogs with her for 9 days while away and we received information and updates multiple times per day with photos, video clips and text messages letting us know the dogs were doing well. If we reached out, she responded very promptly. The pups had the best time with her crew, playing and getting tuckered out on adventures. I would highly recommend her services. Thanks for everything!”

“Yessica took care of my cat Juno for almost a month during the holidays and I couldn’t recommend her more. Very reliable and loving pet sitter, that took her in as her own! ♥️ Juno will definitely miss her ✨♥️”

“It’s always a relief when you can leave your pet in good hands. Our dog Millie got lots of attention, was able to lay out in the sun (her favorite thing). And got lots of exercise. Excellent care.”

“Kirstin was great!! I got great pictures & Kirstin was able to take care of my leash aggressive/defensive dog & my other anxious barky dog! Communication was great & I definitely recommend it!”

“This is our second time using Kelly for our very spoiled golden retriever. She is amazing, always gives daily photos, and it’s been the best environment for our dog who doesn’t do well with other dogs. I highly recommend Kelly!”

“Jennifer was fantastic! This was our first time boarding our pup with someone other than close friends and we were pretty nervous, but we felt very comfortable after meeting with Jennifer. She kept us up-to-date on Pip's escapades with her own dogs, and made sure we had plenty of pictures of him having the time of his life. He even played with her dogs! (He's struggled with knowing how to play with other dogs since we adopted him). We absolutely recommend her to watch your pups!”

“This was our first stay on rover and it went really well. My dog Hank is a nervous guy, but he was happy and playful when I picked him up so he must have had a good time. Since I’m an over protective dog mom I am relieved to find someone he and I both feel comfortable with. Haylee was very fast to respond when I checked in to see how things were going. We’ve already booked again for another stay! Thanks!”

Khaythlen is so much more than a dog boarder or sitter. She understands dogs and advocates from the dogs perspective so you can become a better dog owner. She communicative and responsive. She took exceptional care of our reactive cattle dog, and I felt completely at ease having my dog in her care.

Highly recommend!!!! My pug Nala had a blast with Loc. Loc shared lots of pics and videos of my smiling pup eating snacks and walks around the neighborhood while wagging her tail. Kept me updated on my pup daily and very responsive to any questions I had. Loc is very accommodating and helped me in bind when last minute boarding plans didn't work out and was available for pick up at 9pm.( So grateful as I had a flight at 7am the next day) Very grateful for him to take great care of Nala. Highly recommend!!!! Will use Loc's services again. My pup came home happy and exhausted from all the fun she was having.

Nicole was awesome with our dog. He has some behavioral issues, so he’s not an easy dog but Nicole was a pro and he even came back to us with a more chill demeanor. It was so fun she sent us txt and video updates the whole weekend too! we’re really grateful she could watch our doggo. 10/10

Wendy did a great job with watching our dog Ziya and cat Leo. She kept us updated with how they were doing with pictures and videos and responded in a timely manner. When dropping my fur babies off, I initially felt scared because I’ve never had a stranger watch them before, but after initially meeting Wendy and hearing about how Ziya and Leo were doing I felt a whole lot better. I would bring them back to her again. Thanks Wendy!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
