“This is our 3rd time using Kristin and we have her booked again for May. She's amazing with Weatherly! Attentive, caring, kind, and my dog truly is part of the family. So much so that when we come to get Weatherly, she's always sad when we get home. Kristin is fantastic, you're pet will be loved & well cared for with her.”

“Rebecca and her family were a great match for my dog who gets so sad when I am gone for a long period. “Elizabeth went above and beyond to care for our senior lab (14 years old)! We were able to bring his bed for his comfort, but Elizabeth also had many of her own beds for him to choose from. She assisted him outdoors when he needed a boost due to my dog’s limited mobility. She gave him lots of breaks for social time and fresh air. She followed his specific meal schedule with supplements and treats. She sent updates with pictures to ease our mind. We look forward to having Elizabeth care for our senior pup again. Thank you, Elizabeth!”

“Khaytlen was absolutely wonderful! We had our dogs with her for 9 days while away and we received information and updates multiple times per day with photos, video clips and text messages letting us know the dogs were doing well. If we reached out, she responded very promptly. The pups had the best time with her crew, playing and getting tuckered out on adventures. I would highly recommend her services. Thanks for everything!”

“Brent and his family cared for our little Dottie like she was his own. His daughters are great with Dottie, and his dogs are friends of hers now too. Kyley and her family took great care of Dot on her 2 night stay. I received regular updates with photos on how well she was doing which allowed me to enjoy my time away especially since this was my first time away from her since I adopted her. I will definitely book with them again. She had so much fun, she’s tuckered out!

Khaythlen is so much more than a dog boarder or sitter. She understands dogs and advocates from the dogs perspective so you can become a better dog owner. She communicative and responsive. She took exceptional care of our reactive cattle dog, and I felt completely at ease having my dog in her care.

Highly recommend!!!! My pug Nala had a blast with Loc. Loc shared lots of pics and videos of my smiling pup eating snacks and walks around the neighborhood while wagging her tail. Kept me updated on my pup daily and very responsive to any questions I had. Loc is very accommodating and helped me in bind when last minute boarding plans didn't work out and was available for pick up at 9pm.( So grateful as I had a flight at 7am the next day) Very grateful for him to take great care of Nala. Highly recommend!!!! Will use Loc's services again. My pup came home happy and exhausted from all the fun she was having.

Nicole was awesome with our dog. He has some behavioral issues, so he’s not an easy dog but Nicole was a pro and he even came back to us with a more chill demeanor. It was so fun she sent us txt and video updates the whole weekend too! we’re really grateful she could watch our doggo. 10/10

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
