“My dog Modi absolutely loves Sienna! She does amazing with him and he always comes home EXHAUSTED. We had modi go to someone else while I wasnt in town, mistake there on my part, and she was so willingly to take him in an hours notice. I always get nervous leaving modi with people but we have constantly gone back to Sienna for daycare and will use her for boarding if we ever need it. She also sends us updated pictures of him, which I love. 10/10 recommend and I can’t stress how amazing she is ☺️”

“Mollie took excellent care of our dog Alpine! It made going back to work much less stressful knowing that Alpine was having the time of her life playing with other pups. Pics were a great bonus and I thought it was great they kept track of how many times she peed, etc. We will definitely book again and we recommend to anyone else!”

“Kate has been fantastic with Mabel! She sends regular pictures and videos through out the day so that we can see our pups play! About: Hello! I grew up taking care of mostly dogs in my house until finally was able to get my own dog 6 years ago. I've experienced other people who love animals but I feel like I have a connection to dogs that beats out others, I can read a dogs vibe and match it pretty well. Currently take care of 2 mid-large sized dogs and 3 cats. Love it all! Also love taking pictures of dogs so I’ll make sure to get some model shots :) I recently got out of the Navy after 8 yrs and I am currently not working so I have all day to play with pets. I am go with the flow in whatever and whenever your animal needs to eat and go potty and play/train. I am very flexible with doing whatever you need in order to keep your pet safe and under control while still having fun while you're away.

“Khaytlen is amazing! We get great pictures and videos throughout the day and our puppy is very happy with her. She is very knowledgeable and gives us great feedback on our puppy’s progress . We feel completely confident leaving our puppy in her care. Thank you Khaytlen!”

“Jeannine is absolutely the best! She is super kind, communicative, and really cares about dogs! Amani is always excited to arrive at her home and is tired when she gets home! Jeannine is a wonderful example of the kind of sitter you’d want to watch your fur baby! I love all the photos and videos and her quick responses! And a super bonus is she is an expert with German Shepherds! Truly a gem in Tacoma!!!! I highly recommend her services!!!”

“Heather was great with our pup Luna who has severe separation anxiety! She was very patient, keeping Luna company after I dropped her off until her anxiety subsided and she adjusted to her new environment. By the end of the 4-day stay, she was excited to get her visits in with Heather!”

“Lexie took wonderful care of our fur babies. It was our first time leaving them with someone other than family so we were a bit nervous. She sent us pictures & updates throughout the day that helped ease our concern. Both pups were happy & well cared for. We will definitely use her again the future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Parkland
Kyley and her husband took wonderful care of my puppy! They have a huge, secure yard where the dogs can run and play, and it was clear my puppy had a great time. They are incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely care about the pets they look after. I felt completely at ease knowing my puppy was in such good hands. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and loving pet sitters!

Thank you so much! I have never had my dogs watched by anyone but family so I was very nervous. Haley eased my fears and we were able to set up a long daycare session. I really appreciate her sending me updates and pictures of my fur babies throughout the day.

Tory was very nice and accommodating when I had to do pick up a little bit later than scheduled. Migi came back home super tired and panting so I know he just had a blast over there! He was also able to get me in for a very last minute booking which I extremely appreciate! Him, his daughter and his wife were giving him lots of butt rubs! Overall, 10/10 experience for doggy daycare and I’d definitely book again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Parkland commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
