About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 5 years old. I’ve taken care of many different breeds of dogs. I have been trusted to take care of, walk, feed and play with friends and families dogs and cats In both my own home and theirs. Both of my dogs have passed away now. My boy was 14.5 years old when he passed in June 2026. My girl passed in April 2024. Being able to care for other animals while not fully ready to have my own fur baby again will help me with the loneliness of not having my baby here any longer. I am available for all care levels from drop in to house sitting. I am currently unemployed, so i currently have open availability to walk and care for others pets. I am available any day of the week, and look forward to connecting with you and your beloved fur babies. I have a nice size yard that is fully fenced allowing dogs to be able to run and play freely. I do have another dog in the home who is friendly with other dogs, she is an Australian Shepherd. I am able to crate either dog at anytime if necessary. I am a big cuddle lover, if you prefer your animals not to be on the couch, please let me know so I don’t have them on the furniture.

About: I helped my parents raise 4 litters of miniature dachsunds, all pure-bred and all sent to loving homes with good training. I've sat for all kinds of dogs - different breeds, sizes, personalities - and I love spending time with dogs and learning their pack mentality! I've watched big dogs like Irish Wolfhounds, Pit Bulls, Labradors and Akitas. I've watched dogs not only overnight but for a couple weeks at a time (vacation time for the "parents!").
“Natalie is fabulous! She took excellent care of our dog while we were away for 10 days. She spoiled him with lots cuddles and playtime, just as we had asked! She followed our directions and she kept in touch the whole time. Excellent communication. Absolutely would recommend.”

“Hannah did a great job for us taking care of our pups and our home. Murphy and Miley seemed very happy and well cared for and our home was as clean as when we left! I wouldn’t hesitate to have Hannah back on our next trip! Thank you Hannah!”

“Victoria is amazing! We were struggling with leaving our fur babies for a week, but Victoria put our mind at ease. She took such good care of our babies and home. When she stopped by to drop off the key all of our dogs (3 of them) were excited to see her again. To top it off, she is just a genuinely amazing person that is kind and trustworthy. We will absolutely be using her in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Parkland
Reyna was absolutely awesome. Took great care of my home and cat, sent regular updates and was wonderfully communicative. Will always seek to book her first for my next travels. It was my first time using the app and she was patient with me and helped me figure out how to do it and what information to share.

Drew really cares about animals. They went above and beyond to take care of my dog Oakley often times taking them to the park and paid close attention to details about my dog. Communication was top tier and she always updated me with pictures! If I ever need to book again I’m choosing drew!

Christian did an excellent job with my fur babies! All 4 of them! Dogs were happy when I got home, not stressed. House was well kept, dishwasher started, looked like it did when I left! I was very pleased and would certainly recommend him and will definitely use him to house and dog sit Again!

Bre was amazing! She was able to accommodate a last minute request and was reliable and a quick communicator. She stayed at our house and was respectful of the home as well. I highly recommend using her and will definitely use her for future trips! Thank you for taking great care of Booger, Maya, and Mariner.

We had not booked Haley for a couple of years due to not traveling as much. Mango never forgot her and was so excited to see her. Mango also needed some extra care this time and Haley provided it. She did great with the kittens too. We are so lucky we found her and it we can leave our pets and home in her care without a worry. Thank you Haley!

April spent the weekend for her first overnight with my 22 year old cat, Paris. April checked in and sent pictures along the way which I really appreciated. She even sent one of Paris being a total ham and taking over April's entire arm for a cuddle/nap sesh so needless to say Paris enjoyed her time with April and can't wait for the next sleepover. April is great!

We had a great experience with Jeri over the 5 days she cared for our dogs. She was friendly and reliable, and communicated well throughout the stay, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Overall, we felt our dogs were in good hands and would happily recommend her to others.
I really enjoy Michelle’s daily updates and thoughtful communication! She puts my stress of leaving Millie at total ease and always puts Millie’s needs first. On top of that she is the most respectful and responsible house sitter too. So thankful we found such a great sitter - Thank you Michelle!

Lanii, was great!!! She was super communicative the whole time. Plenty of update pictures and even texted me when our anxious dog was having accidents in the house due to be nervous around new people. They both loved her instantly and were intimidated at all! I would highly recommend her as a sitter and we will definitely be using her services in the future!

Kaitlin is everything you would want in a pet sitter! Efficient communication, punctual and so very sweet to our animal crew! She sent pictures daily and was very detailed to ensure our large (and very medicated crew) was taken care of properly. We can't wait to have her back.
Rowan was very kind and respectful and instantly clicked with our pets (even our old cranky kitty loved him.) He sent us updates and pictures to let us know everyone was doing well as this was my first time using Rover, so it made me feel so much more at ease. He is a gem, and you should absolutely reach out to him to care for your pets. They will love their time with him.

Anna is incredible! Rey can be a little anxious and Anna was so sweet with her, spent so much time cuddling and outside with her and even took her on an outing to Home Depot! Anna gave frequent check ins and pictures, so it was always clear how Rey was doing, and I got to see firsthand what a great weekend she had. Anna was so conscientious and even cleaned up for us which was absolutely above and beyond. I couldn't recommend her more and will be using her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Parkland on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 6,418 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Parkland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Parkland walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Parkland maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Parkland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Parkland. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
