Dog Walking Parkland

About: I have extensive experience with sitting and walking different types of dogs. I have one pup at home and have grown up with dogs (and cats). I’m currently working part-time while on summer break from WWU. Meaning I’ll have plenty of time to spend playing, petting, or walking with your pups :) I can’t host dogs at the moment, because of renovations. But am more than happy to travel to petsit and can accommodate any requests or health issues your pup may have.

About: We are a married couple that both have experience in caring for animals for both of our entire lives. We deeply understand how much trust is involved when someone else is looking after your pets. I (Alexa) have grown up with furry companions and have always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. Connor has also spent his life caring for pets and understands the responsibility and attention every animal needs. Between us, we have experience caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities, including high energy dogs, large and small breeds, senior pets, and animals who need various medications. We have cared for pets belonging to friends, family, and neighbors, along with our own animals! Alexa has also volunteered at local animal shelters and has had the pleasure of listening to Lee Asher speak in person. We are currently proud pet parents to a small dog, a large dog, a mischievous cat, and a senior kitty, so we know firsthand that every pet has their own routine, quirks, and needs. Whether your pet needs exercise, enrichment, medication, patience, or simply some extra love while you’re away, we will treat them like they are our own. Your pets are in great hands with us! I (Alexa) currently work as an EMT, which means I work only 7-8 days per month. That leaves plenty of time to go wherever duty calls! Connor gets his work schedule week by week, but normally has two days off (although they might change weekly). We would be more than happy to house & pet sit for you, provide walks, and do daily check-ins as well! In a clients home, we will respect your space and go places that are only necessary to your pets care & safety. We make sure to always clean before we go, and believe in leaving spaces exactly as you’ve left them for us. You can count on us to make sure your furry friend has all that they need while you are gone, in the safety and security of your own home.

About: I have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, horses, cows, chickens, and ducks from a very young age. For the last 13 years I have worked in the pet food industry developing a knowledge and passion for pet health, behavior and nutrition. My current work schedule is Tues-Sat, I am available for walks, potty breaks and feedings before or after my shifts. Sunday and Monday there is more flexibility in my schedule and I can do mid day drop ins or longer distance runs/walks with higher activity level pets. I would love to meet you and your pet to discuss any special needs or requirements for their care. I have a fenced yard and live in walking distance to a public park and school field that can be used before/after school hours. I prefer to work with your pet in the environment which they are most comfortable, your home. I am open to short stays at my home if that is what is best for your situation.

About: I grew up with both dogs and cats in the house. I currently have a young dog, a puppy, and 2 cats; I also have experience caring for senior and/or sick pets. I have always been a frequent pet sitter for friends so I have watched many different cats and dogs. I am not currently working full time so I have a flexible schedule to provide care to your fur babies. Please let me know what your expectations are so that we can ensure your pets feel comfortable and cared for. I treat all of my pets and those I watch as family. About: I have owned pets most of my life and love to cuddle and care for them. I would treat them as if they are my own! I will walk, pet and feed them just like you would. Hopefully, you will call me again and again. There are pictures of the pets I have cared for in my photo group. We can meet via Zoom or in person before the dates you need me. I love to travel to new places and meet new people and pets. I am working remotely so I can stay in your home if you are gone. I like to visit new places and visit the area nearby. I currently only have an inside/outside cat but have had dogs in the past that were inside/outside dogs. I will follow all instructions given to me by pet owners so that their schedule/routine is not disrupted.

About: I grew up in a large family with many pets. We had five dogs and two cats growing up, and I have had my own pets since. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats over the years, though I just moved back to Washington, so I have no pets at the moment. I currently have open availability and am able to provide visits or stay over at clients homes to care for pets. I’m able to arrange arrival and departure to fit your schedule. I am able to fit whatever needs the client has. If your pets are accustomed to being out and about in the home, I can spend time with them that way. I also am able to use kennels for feeding or sleeping if that’s what they are used to. I’m comfortable keeping things tidy and making sure it’s a safe and clean space for them to hang out.

About: I love spending time with dogs of all kinds. My family dog passed away of old age (13 years) last year so I love the thought of spending time with other people’s dogs and giving them love when their families can’t be there. I currently have a golden doodle named Loki (2 years old) who lives with my friend and have taught him to sit, shake, lay down, and whisper bark! I am currently a graduate student studying speech language pathology at the University of Washington. All funds that I make through Rover go towards paying my tuition. I can dog sit anytime that is available on my calendar :) I make sure to provide lots of pictures and updates for the parents. In case anything is out of the ordinary, I always make sure to have vet information before the families leave.

About: My experience with dog covers just about all fields there are. I spent 10+ years showing herding breeds in showmanship and obedience, often at the state level. This included all the required grooming and handling skills that comes with performing at a pro level. I also trained lessons at 4-H clubs once a week for 5 years. I helped teach kids how to teach their dogs and during that time I worked with dogs big and small. Fear aggressive and wild lab puppies. I continued my training at a local boarding facility where Ive been exposed to even more unique dogs. This facility specialized in dogs that needed special care or more technical help than regular boarding places could provide. Food aggressive malinois, elderly pitbulls that have specific medical needs and anxious poodles are all just a regular Tuesday for me. I'm always looking for a new experiences and a challenge! My goal is flexibility! Any day of the week, morning and night, I'm available. My work day starts late enough in the day for most if not all morning activities and I'm off perfectly on time for afternoon walkies. I've house sat for dozens of times. In my 10+ years of connection with 4-H, I've watched many members pets over the years. This included more unique animals like reptiles and birds all the way to a guinea pig barn. My goal is to keep everything as in routine as possible. Pets are already anxious when their parents leave so doing everything just like you do helps minimize any added stress. No such thing as too much information!

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, from helping my mom with her breeding business to caring for a variety of pets. Dogs have a special place in my heart, especially the big guys! I also have experience with farm animals, including horses, cows, chickens, ducks, goats, and rabbits. When I'm looking after your pets, I treat them like my own, giving them all the love and care they deserve. I have a pretty flexible schedule, let me know what works best and I will do everything I can to accommodate you and your pets. I treat all pets as if they were my own! I like to give the pet space at first and let them come to me to make them more comfortable.

About: I grew up with a natural love for animals and I believe it has to do with having been surrounded by them. I am very patient and willing to learn how to care for every special dog. Ever since I was a kid, I've been allergic to almost anything with fur. But my love for them does not stop me. Nothing an allergic med can’t fix. Rates may also vary, depending on what you need we can discuss the cost! I care for every furry companion as if they are my own, it’s the least they deserve. I do this because its something I love to do and enjoy spending time with them since I don’t have time for my own right now. I currently work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 11 at night - 9am. It can be hard for a pup to be home alone that long so please keep that in mind! I am willing to have a consistent, long-term schedule as well as just random-when needed days. Caring for pets in my home, I don’t have many rules. I try to allow them to be themselves so they can feel safe and happy while being away from their family. I am okay with them on furniture and on my bed, whatever makes them comfortable.
