Shania has been really, really amazing with Milton and his struggles with PTSD and anxiety. She is patient, compassionate, and incredibly attentive. Shania took the time to build trust and make Milt feel safe. Her care has made a really big difference, and we just can’t recommend her enough.

About: I have owned dogs since I was 8, I helped watch the neighbors dogs growing up. I currently have two dogs and I also work with a foster organization. Since August we have successfully helped 7 foster dogs find new homes. We have puppy potty training down and have started working with one of our dogs for service dog certification. I am a SAHM and homeschool my children. We are home all day and will make sure that dogs are walked and well cared for. Dogs will be able to roam the house and fenced yard. We will take them for daily walks or runs if they enjoy running. We have multiple crates that can be set-up in different locations so that the dogs have their own space to go to if needed. We work from home so adding a pet is easy. There is usually someone home so your dog will not be alone. We are a pet loving family who will love your dog like they are ours during the stay. I have a fenced yard for the dog to play. I always separate the dogs during feeding time and we give them one-on-one time with us.

About: I had a Neapolitan mastiff and a beagle poodle mix. I adopted a poodle (Lady) in October 2025, and then another one (Ricky) in June 2026 . I’m a dependable dog mom and will follow all your doggie care instructions. Your pups will be loved, well-cared for, have a lot of fun playing if that’s what they like! SPACE: I own my home. I have a fenced yard dog run, so your babies will be safe and secured. I have a 2300 sq ft home on .78 acres, so plenty of room to run and play. My neighborhood has one dog-friendly park within a short walking distance and we have two big dog parks close by (driving). Most roads have a speed limit of 25 miles per hour, so very safe to walk around the neighborhood. But the property is large, so we walk around it too. Unfortunately at this time I am not hosting puppies (under 1 year) or dogs that are not potty-trained. I work from home two days a week and am available weekends all day. I work out and walk in the morning rain or shine. My work schedule is flexible so I can go out for walks multiple times a day and can drive anywhere if needed. My evenings are also open. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I’m an active and responsible dog mom with 2 fur babies, so your fur baby will be showered with love and care from me, and companion ship from furry friends!

Andrhu is so great with our girls! He plays so well with our social dog so that she is worn out and happy when we get home. For our shy dog, he gives gentle attention and praise, working to form a bond of trust. He was also so thoughtful to stow our Amazon delivery safely out of sight. He really is the best!

About: I have had a lifelong passion for animals and experience caring for both dogs and cats. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, from miniature dachshunds to Saint Bernards, and I am comfortable with pets of different ages, personalities, and care needs. Throughout the years, I have helped family, friends, and neighbors care for their pets, including week-long pet-sitting assignments where I was responsible for feeding, walking, administering medications, cleaning litter boxes, and providing companionship and attention. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or requires special care and medication, I am committed to providing reliable, attentive, and compassionate care. As a pet caregiver, I treat every animal as if they were my own and work hard to ensure both pets and owners have peace of mind while they're apart. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide pets with the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering medication, or simply spending quality time with them, I make sure each pet receives personalized care. I am committed to maintaining your pet’s regular routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions provided by pet owners, including feeding schedules, medication requirements, exercise routines, and any special needs. I take the time to build trust with each pet and create a calm, positive environment where they feel safe and cared for. About: I have owned or cared for dogs my entire life, with the occasional rodent or scaled creature thrown in. Hopefully not at the same time. I’m comfortable with basic wound cleaning as well as administering medication. After a period working in a pet store I’m also more skilled in ear cleaning, breathing treatments, and temperature taking than I’d care to be. Work situation changed so I’m more open to daytime walks and drop ins. I also keep a weird sleep schedule so if you need a late night drop in or walk, hit me up. Update: I did recently get a dog. He’s a young doodle and prefers to chew on my hair and hands more than toys, but gets along well with other dogs. He sure everyone wants to be his friend. He is young, potty trained and a great playmate. So right now the only way I’m able to sit is if your dog would like new bestie. I am unable to care for pets in my home. I live with my niece and her cat can be a little…stabby, for lack of a better word. In your home, I’ll be following your lead. I do tend to go outside with dogs at night, even with fenced yards. I am always wary of bobcats and coyotes looking for water and snacks. I’m also perfectly comfortable with a pile of animals sleeping in bed with me so if that’s what your animals prefer, I’m here for it.

Megan has been regularly walking my dog, Mack, for a few months now. I was anxious at the beginning to have someone take care of my dog when I wasn’t there (because while I think he’s amazing, he’s also a little quirky lol), but it’s been such a relief working with her. She has such a kind and calming energy, and it’s clear that my pup loves spending time with her! If you’re looking for a dog walker, I can’t recommend Megan enough.

About: Hi! I’m Laura, and I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member. As a flight attendant, I understand how important trust, communication, and reliability are. Whether you’re away for work, vacation, or just need an extra hand, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re gone. I’ve always been an animal lover and know that every pet has their own unique personality and routine. I take the time to get to know each pet so they feel comfortable, whether that means long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply keeping them company. I believe pets thrive when they feel secure, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. While your pet is in my care, you can expect regular photo updates, clear communication, and plenty of reassurance that they’re happy and having fun. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your best friend is in caring hands. I look forward to meeting you and your pet and becoming someone you can count on whenever you need dependable, loving care! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I currently have a pug. As a flight attendant, my schedule gives me dedicated time at home between trips, allowing me to provide focused, attentive care to the pets I watch. On the days I’m caring for your pet, my schedule revolves around their needs—from morning potty breaks and walks to playtime, meals, and plenty of love and attention throughout the day. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, including feeding times, potty breaks, walks, exercise, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I know every pet has a unique personality, so I adjust my care to match their needs—whether they love active playtime, long walks, or quiet cuddles on the couch. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I treat your home with the same respect I would my own. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and companionship while maintaining their normal routine to help reduce stress while you’re away.

Lauren is a natural animal whisperer and very communicative! Yoshi is leash reactive and does not have the best recall, yet he came back to Lauren when called, and he has never done that in the six years he's been with me when he escapes (he is a Houdini baby). I appreciate Lauren sending 3-4 pictures per walk too. Highly recommend Lauren!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
