I have been a rescue dog foster for 5 years and worked with Rover since 2020 - I have cared for dozens of pets of different needs and breeds. I care for dogs with genuine love, patience and positive reinforcement! Meeting new dogs & getting to know their personality is so fun for me. Fostering requires a general love of animals, and home visits to verify you have adequate space to care for the dogs' needs. You must commit to learning about the foster, love it like your own, and communicate with potential adopters about the dogs needs/personality. The goal of fostering is to make dogs as comfortable in a new place as possible. These are all qualities I bring to the table as a pet-sitter. I have a fenced dog run with a potty area, a neighborhood park for walks and playtime, and anything a dog might need for their stay! I understand everyone wants the best possible care for their pet, and will provide a personalized, consistent pet care experience with lots of pictures and communication. About: I love spending time with dogs of all kinds. My family dog passed away of old age (13 years) last year so I love the thought of spending time with other people’s dogs and giving them love when their families can’t be there. I currently have a golden doodle named Loki (2 years old) who lives with my friend and have taught him to sit, shake, lay down, and whisper bark! I am currently a graduate student studying speech language pathology at the University of Washington. All funds that I make through Rover go towards paying my tuition. I can dog sit anytime that is available on my calendar :) I make sure to provide lots of pictures and updates for the parents. In case anything is out of the ordinary, I always make sure to have vet information before the families leave.

For the last 13 years I have worked in the pet food industry developing a knowledge and passion for pet health, behavior and nutrition. My current work schedule is Tues-Sat, I am available for walks, potty breaks and feedings before or after my shifts. Sunday and Monday there is more flexibility in my schedule and I can do mid day drop ins or longer distance runs/walks with higher activity level pets. I would love to meet you and your pet to discuss any special needs or requirements for their care. I have a fenced yard and live in walking distance to a public park and school field that can be used before/after school hours. I prefer to work with your pet in the environment which they are most comfortable, your home. I am open to short stays at my home if that is what is best for your situation.

About: We have both taken care of pets since we were young! I (Alexa) have grown up with furry friends my whole life, and I LOVE all animals (though I do have a soft spot for dogs). Connor has grown up with pets his whole life as well. We’ve pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors before, with all kinds of critters. Alexa has experience volunteering at local animal shelters, and has had the pleasure of listening to Lee Asher speak in person. We are also currently the owners of a small dog, a big dog, and a very mischievous cat. We are both very well equipped to care for animals anywhere from a mouse to a horse. Your babies are in wonderful hands with us. I (Alexa) currently work as an EMT, which means I work only 7-8 days per month. That leaves plenty of time to go wherever duty calls! Connor gets his work schedule week by week, but normally has Fridays and Saturdays off. We are willing to house/pet sit for you, walk your animals, and do daily checkups for you as well. In a clients home, we will respect your space and only do what is necessary. You can count on us to make sure your furry friend has all that they need while you are gone, in the safety and security of your own home.
