“Mollay really listened to my pups needs & how they needed to be let out. She sent me pictures to assure me that my fur babies were doing perfectly fine without me (lol) while I was away. Will definitely be using her again!”

“The best dog lover to care for our girls. He's always upbeat and flexible with our wonky schedule. Cannot rave about Angel anymore for fear of losing his availability for our girls! 😁”

“Brooklyn took wonderful care of my cat. She has such a warm and assuring presence that was the perfect fir for my shy gal. Everything was in order when I arrived back home from my trip, and her daily updates assured me my pet was safe and well cared for. Thank you for your kindness!”

“I needed a sitter last minute for my pups for SBLX Sunday & Haylee accepted my request right away! We discussed the details on the phone prior to her visit with them. She sent me pics of how relaxed & happy they were!. 💖🐶🐶🐶💖 I will definitely have her over for future visits!”

“I have booked Tory previously and I love the continuous support. Super reliable especially for someone like me that has a consistent work schedule with longer hours. Thank you!”

“10/10 would recommend & rebook. Megan was really great with our fur babies as well as keeping us informed while we were away. We forgot to leave the TV on for our pets and she remembered our conversation during our initial meeting, and turned on the TV for them. The peace of mind and care she provided was everything we could have asked for.”

“Drew is wonderful with our Maggie. Followed directions to a T and the communication was A+. We’ve never had anyone come in and take care of our girl but Drew really put at us ease. Sent brilliant pictures and engaged with Maggie. I know next time we leave town Drew will definitely be the person we call. Highly recommend”

About: I have had many dogs and taken of care many dogs. All sizes and types. I absolutely love dogs and take great care of them. I can follow any instructions you may have. They will be loved as if they were my own. We will have plenty activities to do and if they're not to active of a dog then they're more than welcome to just sit and watch tv with me! Dogs aren't just pets, they're family. For dog walking/house sitting I’d love to take the dogs to the park and let them explore and play! For daycare or overnights we have an acre of backyard(fenced) for them to run and play! I only work nights and my husband stays home with our 2 year old so someone is always home to give the dogs attention! In the morning after breakfast we usually play in the back yard for a while, and then my dogs like to relax inside after before I go to work. Then they usually wander outside with my husband and two year old walking the yard and playing ball. I have a fenced yard, and very friendly dogs with tons of energy to play! In my clients home I’m very respectful and clean. I’ll always treat your pups as if they’re my own.
“Stephanie has been doing walk ins with my Boxer puppy and my Belgian Shepherd for a couple of months now - 3 days a week. She has gone above and beyond to make their experience positive - buying them a special toy to play with while she is there, picking up puppy wipes, bringing treats, quick to respond to me via text, respectful of my home, and being flexible with her schedule. My dogs are thrilled when she arrives and Stephanie has given me peace of mind when I am at work knowing the puppy is getting her time out of the crate that I am otherwise unable to provide her. Stephanie was not my first sitter on Rover, and she was brought in to cover a transition between sitters. I was thrilled to have her continue on once I realized how reliable and thoughtful she is.”

About: I love spending time with dogs of all kinds. My family dog passed away of old age (13 years) last year so I love the thought of spending time with other people’s dogs and giving them love when their families can’t be there. I currently have a golden doodle named Loki (2 years old) who lives with my friend and have taught him to sit, shake, lay down, and whisper bark! I am currently a graduate student studying speech language pathology at the University of Washington. All funds that I make through Rover go towards paying my tuition. I can dog sit anytime that is available on my calendar :) I make sure to provide lots of pictures and updates for the parents. In case anything is out of the ordinary, I always make sure to have vet information before the families leave.
“Ashley did an amazing job taking care of my cats. They warmed up to her immediately and she took great care of them while I was away. The pictures she took during her visits were incredible. I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I've spent my entire life with large dogs, and I have extensive experience understanding their behaviors and body language. While I love small dogs too, my expertise lies primarily with larger breeds. I've worked in both shelters and clinics for several years and have had the privilege of assisting a few mama dogs in delivering healthy litters. Experienced with puppies, seniors, medication administration, and dogs requiring extra patience and individualized care. Your dog will have a great time while you're away! (Preferably dogs that are friendly with cats.) I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day to ensure your beloved pets are cared for safely and comfortably while you’re away. I can let your dog out for potty breaks in the yard and on walks as needed. I also have a kennel/crate available if they prefer a quiet space to relax. My home is spacious, providing plenty of room to play indoors and a full yard to play in. For pets that are comfortable around cats, they’ll have the opportunity to interact with my friendly resident cats.
About: I have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, horses, cows, chickens, and ducks from a very young age. For the last 13 years I have worked in the pet food industry developing a knowledge and passion for pet health, behavior and nutrition. My current work schedule is Tues-Sat, I am available for walks, potty breaks and feedings before or after my shifts. Sunday and Monday there is more flexibility in my schedule and I can do mid day drop ins or longer distance runs/walks with higher activity level pets. I would love to meet you and your pet to discuss any special needs or requirements for their care. I have a fenced yard and live in walking distance to a public park and school field that can be used before/after school hours. I prefer to work with your pet in the environment which they are most comfortable, your home. I am open to short stays at my home if that is what is best for your situation.
“Micayla is reliable and very communicative. She checks on my cat when I'm out of town. I always feel that my home is safer when she visits everyday, and I know my cat is well taken care of and well loved when she comes over. We love Micayla, and highly recommend her!”

“Kelly was easy to work with and was able to handle my uncertain traveling dates. Much appreciated! She took great care of the cats and kept them entertained.”

“Alexa and Connor were so sweet to my kitties. They gave them all of the snuggles and playtime as if my cats were their own. Absolutely will be using them again!”

Drew is wonderful with our Maggie. Followed directions to a T and the communication was A+. We’ve never had anyone come in and take care of our girl but Drew really put at us ease. When April first started sitting for us we had two cats. Now, courtesy of the bountiful cat distribution system, we have five. Our most recent addition was still being separated when valentines weekend rolled around and we needed a sitter. April was fantastic with all five of our fur babies, including feeding and playing with Thomas, who was separated from the others. The boxes were scooped, wet food distributed, and cats played with. We couldn’t ask for more. April is great!

I did have a wonderful time at Worldcon, all the more because I wasn't worried about Tank and Molly! Glad you guys had fun. Tank forgave me for traveling right away but it is lunchtime on Monday and Molly finally forgave me too! Whoot Whoot! The can of tuna I just opened might have influenced her. Thank you!!!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Midland. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
