Safety, trust & environment

I have had dogs, cats and snakes of my own in the past. They are no longer with us due to old age, so being around pets is something we have been missing. I have experience with pet medications, and some behavioral (positive reinforcement) as I worked as a veterinary assistant for 6 years. We live in a single family home with a fully fenced back yard, next to a park, so access to walks is very close

Information Katelyn B. would like to know about your pet

Pets being friendly with children is required. I have two small children in my home (9months and 4years) of which one or both of them will accompany me to my services since I am a stay at home mom. I require meet and greets for all new clients. Drop-in visits cannot exceed ~1hour.

A typical day

I have a great park walking distance from my house, and drive an suv, so taking them to an off leash park (if recall and owner allows for it) or to a beach, small hike etc. I also have a fully fenced back yard so playtime back there is also an option, along with plenty of cuddles and indoor time.

Pet care experience

I worked in the veterinary field for over 6 years, working my way from general care up to lead surgical assistant. I left to become a stay at home mom, and miss caring for fur babies. I no longer have pets of my own, so boading dogs is perfect as I have a fully fenced yard and live next to a park for exercise. My only requirement is pets must be kid friendly. I have no fear of reptiles, so caring for them is also an option. Geriatric pets, and medications are also in my experience.

Worked great with us! We have dietary restrictions for our cats and Kate did amazingly! Will book every time we need a sitter!

Kate is a kind and caring person. I was lucky enough to work with her for a few years at a pet supply store, where she brought so much knowledge from her time at a vet's office previously. I watched her have countless in-depth conversations to help pet owners find solutions to their pets' daily health and well-being. She brings compassion and knowledge to all things animals, and does an amazing job of meeting people where they are.

I have known Kate for over a decade. Both as an animal owner and as an animal healthcare professional she has proven to be a completely selfless and compassionate caregiver to animals. She has a way with dogs that demonstrates her commitment to their well-being both mentally and physically. And she gives me scritches.

Kate has been caring for animals for as long as I’ve known her, which is over 10 years. During that time, she’s cared not only for her own pets but for many others as well, from reptiles to all kinds of furry companions. I’ve personally trusted Kate with my own pets countless times, knowing her deep love for animals and her background as a veterinary technician. She is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. I know without hesitation that if Kate is caring for an animal, they will be treated with patience, respect, and exceptional care.
