“Angel went above and beyond for our pups! We highly recommend him to anyone considering going out of town. He sent multiple updates everyday, spent extra time with them and worked around our schedules! I was anxious about leaving our dogs alone but Angel made it simple and painless. We will most certainly be using him again in the future 😊 thank you so much Angel!!”
“Kristelle was super awesome and took good care of our 3 cats while we’re away for a week! She’s easy to provide instructions with considering we’re her new clients in such a short notice. Will definitely ask her again to look after our furbabies next time!”

About: I love spending time with dogs of all kinds. My family dog passed away of old age (13 years) last year so I love the thought of spending time with other people’s dogs and giving them love when their families can’t be there. I currently have a golden doodle named Loki (2 years old) who lives with my friend and have taught him to sit, shake, lay down, and whisper bark! I am currently a graduate student studying speech language pathology at the University of Washington. All funds that I make through Rover go towards paying my tuition. I can dog sit anytime that is available on my calendar :) I make sure to provide lots of pictures and updates for the parents. In case anything is out of the ordinary, I always make sure to have vet information before the families leave.
“Perfect from start to finish. She followed my instructions exact, took great photos and even informed me about some mail left at my door that I may have missed if she wasn't there! My dog is happy and so am I. I will be booking again.”

“I came home to a very happy and relaxed dog rather than a sick and clingy dog when left at a kennel. I received pics every day so I knew he was doing great. A great relief to me when I have to travel.”

“Absolutely wonderful sitter, she took care of my three dogs and they are a hand full. She attended to all their needs and informed me of any problems and was very observant, and most of all she gave loads of pictures.”

“Super communication and friendly! My older dog is a little grumpy with strangers sometimes but he LOVES her and looks forward to her visits when he hears the car pull in! Definitely responsible, trustworthy and has helped us out with last minute plans and cancelations.”

About: I have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, horses, cows, chickens, and ducks from a very young age. For the last 13 years I have worked in the pet food industry developing a knowledge and passion for pet health, behavior and nutrition. My current work schedule is Tues-Sat, I am available for walks, potty breaks and feedings before or after my shifts. Sunday and Monday there is more flexibility in my schedule and I can do mid day drop ins or longer distance runs/walks with higher activity level pets. I would love to meet you and your pet to discuss any special needs or requirements for their care. I have a fenced yard and live in walking distance to a public park and school field that can be used before/after school hours. I prefer to work with your pet in the environment which they are most comfortable, your home. I am open to short stays at my home if that is what is best for your situation.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my strong foundation in professional animal care and my passion for creating stress-free, positive experiences for pets. I’m Fear Free Certified, so I’m trained in techniques that help reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in animals—especially helpful for nervous or shy pets. I’m also a veterinary professional where on a daily basis I deal with animal behavior, health, and basic care. This knowledge helps me better understand your pet’s needs, whether they’re a rambunctious puppy, a senior with special care requirements, or anything in between. I approach every animal with patience, empathy, and respect—and I truly treat them like part of the family. I usually am free 6 days a week! My schedule is based on where I am that day or what other gigs I have going on. I have reliable transportation and will be able to watch pets in their home if need be to avoid stress of car rides and new places. I am very attentive to each pets need, because just like humans, each pet is different!
“Another great week with Kyley! Lots playing, snuggles and fun. They even let me know about a wasp nest I hadn't seen so I could get it taken care of. It's small details like this that set her apart and gave me a lot of peace that my home and pets are well taken care of.”

“Brooklyn is awesome! She is consistent, sweet with my dog, quick to respond and so trust worthy! She will be requested anytime help with our doggo is needed!”

“Ashley did an amazing job taking care of my cats. They warmed up to her immediately and she took great care of them while I was away. The pictures she took during her visits were incredible. I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Thank you, Mariko for taking great care of my 3 fur babies again while we were on our vacay! I loved seeing all the pics & I didn't worry at all about how they were doing back at home. They looked so happy! I truly appreciate everything you do! Thanks soooo much!”

“Bre rooked really good care of our kitties. Even though it was a last minute request, she accommodated setting up a last minute meet n greet and looking after my kitties. She provided several updates, pictures and loved on them while we were away. I would definitely recommend her to any pet owners looking for a pet sitter.”

“We always come back from our trips, and our cat doesn’t hate us- I always credit that for Maria’s extra care and love she gives him while we are gone! She is the best of the best!!”

“There was a bit of a mishap with my door code but Tory was patient and took time out of his life to tale care of my dog while I was out of town, and it was greatly appreciated.”

Drew is wonderful with our Maggie. Followed directions to a T and the communication was A+. We’ve never had anyone come in and take care of our girl but Drew really put at us ease. Sent brilliant pictures and engaged with Maggie. I know next time we leave town Drew will definitely be the person we call. Highly recommend

Alyssa saved the day! We had accidentally left a gate closed in the house and our cats couldn't access the litterbox upstairs. She lives nearby us and was able to be to our house so quickly and also gave our kitties some loving ❤️ very trustworthy and will absolutely use her again!

My first rover experience was fantastic, so when I was unable to rebook that person, I thought no way am I going to have another fantastic experience. I was Wrong. Parkre and Levi were fabulous. Great at keeping in touch, asking questions etc. I would trust them with my cats anytime. It was such a great experience and I appreciate the care they provided.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Allison. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
