“We appreciate Katilyn so much! She was prompt, sent lots of pictures of cat and dog, and communicated wonderfully. It was evident when we got home that our pets were happy and well-cared for. Thank you, Katilyn!!”

“Tiffany was amazing! She took such good care of our 4 dogs while we were out of town for the week. She kept them on schedule and in their normal routines, it's like we were even gone! She went above and beyond to make sure we came home to a calm house.”

“Drew is wonderful with our Maggie. Followed directions to a T and the communication was A+. We’ve never had anyone come in and take care of our girl but Drew really put at us ease. Sent brilliant pictures and engaged with Maggie. I know next time we leave town Drew will definitely be the person we call. Highly recommend”

About: I have had dogs all my life. After I moved out I raised a chocolate lab from 8 weeks old until he passed at 16 yrs. During that time frame I was also raising my Weimaraner at the same time! Both were high energy dogs (and Kaiser, my weim, still is). This has given me experience large breed, high energy dogs. I also have experience with elderly dogs. I am also no stranger to small dogs as I have also cared for my friends pomeranian. I am able to do drop ins before work, during lunch (depending on distanc), and after work. I am able to stay the night if necessary. My pets have full access to the house and are always well fed, cared for, and loved whether its play time or just hanging out watching TV.

“Katie is a stellar cat sitter! Her communication and professionalism puts us at complete ease while away from our sweet kitty. Highly recommend. We will always priority book with her while away from home.”

“Cindy was very professional and patient with my 2 rescue cats that have some weird quirks. She gave my one kitty arthritis medication and took the time for them to warm up to her. She sent pictures and was very communicative!”

“Simone was amazing! She accepted our last-minute request without hesitation and took great care of our dogs. I came home to happy pups and appreciated her clear communication, reliability, and professionalism. Would definitely book again!”

“We had the absolute pleasure of having Tabitha look after our cherished PussPuss while we were away, and we cannot sing her praises enough! From the very beginning, Tabitha demonstrated an unparalleled dedication and love for our furry family member that truly set our minds at ease. What stood out to us was not just the routine care but the genuine affection and time Tabitha invested. She went above and beyond every single day, ensuring PussPuss was not only fed and clean but also thoroughly entertained. Whether it was through engaging playtime, thoughtful cuddles, or simply talking to PussPuss, it was clear she was committed to making our beloved feel loved and comfortable in our absence. Tabitha’s communication was exemplary. She provided us with frequent updates that were not only informative but also heartwarming. The photos and videos she sent us were a source of joy and reassurance, showing PussPuss happy and content under her care. Furthermore, the video conference she arranged was beyond what we expected; seeing PussPuss respond to Tabitha’s voice and care firsthand was incredibly touching and a testament to the bond they had formed. The cleanliness and tidiness of our home upon our return also spoke volumes of Tabitha’s conscientiousness. It was clear she treated our home with respect, allowing us to come back to a serene and orderly space, with a happy PussPuss waiting for us. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tabitha for not just meeting but far exceeding our expectations. Her love, dedication, and the extra steps she took to ensure both PussPuss and we were happy and informed were truly remarkable. We wholeheartedly recommend Tabitha to any pet parent looking for someone who will treat their pet not just as a job but as a member of the family. Thank you, Tabitha, for everything. You have our deepest appreciation and utmost respect for the love and care you provided to PussPuss. We look forward to having you care for PussPuss again in the future!”

Ready to talk, feel free to shoot a message over to talk about your needs for your animals :D I will be the only walker handling your pets through this profile. I like to ensure your pet has a clean, safe environment. All hazards will be picked up promptly, as well as any potty spotted in the yard or accidents in the house.

About: Hi! I’m Paula, and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up helping care for animals on my family’s farm in Colombia and later gained experience working in a veterinary clinic, which taught me how to safely handle animals, recognize when something isn’t quite right, and provide attentive care for pets with different needs and personalities. Today, I share my life with dogs of my own and understand how important it is to find someone you trust when you’re away. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or prefers a quiet companion to stick to their routine, I adjust my care to fit what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I have experience with: • Puppies and high-energy dogs • Senior pets • Large breed dogs • Administering medications • Multi-pet households • Shy or anxious animals When I’m caring for your pet, communication is a priority. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication so you always know how they’re doing. My goal is simple: I want your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive and consistent care for pets throughout the day. While I have a few work responsibilities that only require a couple of hours here and there, they don’t interfere with my ability to prioritize pet care. Additionally, while I do have dogs of my own, they are a shared responsibility within my household, meaning their care does not take away from my ability to fully focus on the pets I’m sitting. This flexibility allows me to accommodate regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and any special care needs without interruptions. Whether it’s an overnight stay, multiple visits a day, or drop-in check-ins, I ensure that pets stay on their normal routine and receive the attention they need while their owners are away. My priority is to ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I provide pet sitting exclusively in my client’s home, allowing pets to remain in their familiar environment, which helps reduce stress and maintain their routine. When caring for pets, I follow their specific schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and any other special needs they may have. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day, adjusting my care to match their personality—whether they need extra playtime, gentle reassurance, or space to relax. Additionally, I respect my clients’ homes by keeping everything clean, securing doors and gates, and ensuring a tidy environment while they’re away. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel at ease knowing their pets are well cared for.
About: I have had cat or multiple cats my adult life. I typically have 1 or more cats in my home at a time. Background that my cats have died for various reasons due to aging, kidney, thyroid, pancreas disease, etc. which allows me to be fairly familiar with learning when they are sick or in pain. I have a good understanding of how they react to new environments. I utilize the vet to support them when they need it. I currently have a cat and volunteering/fostering with the shelter. I am available holidays and weekdays. I am available Saturdays and Sundays. I am not working a full time job at this time. Happy to adjust my routine as needed. Cats are to be treated as companions as they are independent. I like to ensure they stay on routine and schedule and their needs met. A clean litter box makes it easier for them to use it properly. Cats are truly unique in their ways and should be respected as a companionship is a blessing. I am currently without any cats or pets of any kind.
“Stephanie once again took extraordinary care of our dogs and cat for drop-in visits when I had a last minute request because of having to serve as a juror on a trial while my husband was traveling. She is fantastic and our animals love her!”

About: Ive taken care of animals of all kinds, from domestic to farm animals since I was very young. Ive loved with small dogs and cats most of my life, but absolutely adore your big dogs! I look forward to helping you. Im currently unemployed, and will be going back to school full time this September. I have absolutely nothing but ample time to dedicate to taking care of the animals in my house. I currently live with three cats and love to assist in cleaning their boxes, making sure e erodes fed properly, and playtime. Even pet needs something different. That being said, it's very easy to address any pets needs. Some pets need special food, some need to put on a jacket when they go outside, some need to be separate from any and all other animals. Whatever your pet needs, I can provide.
“Brittainy and David were very caring and attentive to my pup. They came in and did drop ins, sent me updates with pictures and even played ball. It was a good experience!”

Jessica was great! One of my cats is very shy and she won him over while I was away. She provided updates with cute pictures of them. She was very responsive when I reached out with questions. I felt confident they were in good hands. I will rebook with her again and definitely recommend her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hillhurst. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
