About: I have taken care of all types of dogs ranging from puppies to seniors, and all of their unique personalities! I have owned dogs with cancer and also a few reactive ones. Therefore, I know each dog has their own specific needs, and I love to spoil them in their own way! I currently work 2.5 hour shifts as a coach 3 times a week, besides that I am able to give them all the love and affection they need. Besides these short shifts your dogs will rarely ever be left alone! I have a dog of my own who goes on walks daily, and also plays enrichment games everyday! He would love to have a friend to do it with! I have a fenced yard, and a very friendly and energetic dog of my own to keep your fur baby busy! I take all dogs for a walk 1-2 times a day so they have time out of the house to go on an adventure as well! I try to take them on different routes each time so it’s more exciting and interesting for them, this also applies to my dog walking service! Besides walks, I also include multiple types of enrichment activities for them!

Amanda has been absolutely wonderful — not only as a dog walker, but as a truly kind and caring human. She has become someone we genuinely look forward to hearing from and have loved having as part of our pups’ lives. We always enjoyed her thoughtful updates, sweet commentary, and little notes after each walk. It gave us so much comfort knowing our dogs were in such loving hands. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Amanda help us during such a busy and chaotic time, and we’re so grateful for the care, kindness, and joy she brought to our pups (and to us!). She is truly one of a kind! 💕🐾

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 5 years old. I’ve taken care of many different breeds of dogs. I have been trusted to take care of, walk, feed and play with friends and families dogs and cats In both my own home and theirs. Both of my dogs have passed away now. My boy was 14.5 years old when he passed in June 2026. My girl passed in April 2024. Being able to care for other animals while not fully ready to have my own fur baby again will help me with the loneliness of not having my baby here any longer. I am available for all care levels from drop in to house sitting. I am currently unemployed, so i currently have open availability to walk and care for others pets. I am available any day of the week, and look forward to connecting with you and your beloved fur babies. I have a nice size yard that is fully fenced allowing dogs to be able to run and play freely. I do have another dog in the home who is friendly with other dogs, she is an Australian Shepherd. I am able to crate either dog at anytime if necessary. I am a big cuddle lover, if you prefer your animals not to be on the couch, please let me know so I don’t have them on the furniture.

I can’t say enough about how awesome Tabitha has been. She interacts with Kai like he was her own and as she has been stellar in working with him along their walks and I can see a huge difference in his reactions to other animals that he normally would bark non stop at. She’s his calming soul!

About: I've taken care of many of my friends pets, dogs and cats when they are away. I absolutely love doing it! Pets are part of the family! I am currently working part time doing instacart so I am on the road and can stop whenever I need to let them out or take them on a walk. About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up on a small farm, so caring for animals has been part of my life from an early age. We raised pigs, I grew up with two dogs, and I also spent plenty of time around cattle, sheep, and pastured horses. I know how important it is to have someone you can genuinely trust with your pets. I’m patient, dependable, and happy to give your furry family members plenty of attention, affection, walks, and playtime. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and kindness I’d want someone to give my own. I currently work full-time from 5am to 1pm. I chair an AA meeting on Monday evenings and attend others when I'm available to do so. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my first priority. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, respect their normal routines, and pay attention to the little things that help them feel secure while you’re away. I also understand that trusting someone with your pet often means trusting them in your home, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. You can expect me to be dependable, respectful, and communicative, with updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Hillhurst. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Hillhurst.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hillhurst. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
