Alicia was very flexible and understanding! She had great communication, fast reply times, and sent a lot of cute pictures! Even though we just hired her to walk Bella she showed our cat love as well. We would definitely trust her with the care of both our girls again in the future!

About: We have both taken care of pets since we were young! I (Alexa) have grown up with furry friends my whole life, and I LOVE all animals (though I do have a soft spot for dogs). Connor has grown up with pets his whole life as well. We’ve pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors before, with all kinds of critters. Alexa has experience volunteering at local animal shelters, and has had the pleasure of listening to Lee Asher speak in person. We are also currently the owners of a small dog, a big dog, and a very mischievous cat. We are both very well equipped to care for animals anywhere from a mouse to a horse. Your babies are in wonderful hands with us. I (Alexa) currently work as an EMT, which means I work only 7-8 days per month. That leaves plenty of time to go wherever duty calls! Connor gets his work schedule week by week, but normally has Fridays and Saturdays off. We are willing to house/pet sit for you, walk your animals, and do daily checkups for you as well. In a clients home, we will respect your space and only do what is necessary. You can count on us to make sure your furry friend has all that they need while you are gone, in the safety and security of your own home.

About: Trustworthy, Reliable & Attentive Care for Your Pet and Home 🐕🐈🏡 . I had two dogs growing up in the South Sound area 🐶🐶, have done some wonderful house and pet-sits which resulted in 12 out of 12 Five-Star reviews from a leading global house-sitting platform. You can see screenshots of these reviews in my photo gallery! Let me know if you’d like me to share my many excellent professional work references and 40+ positive Airbnb reviews. . While I used to pet sit while traveling with my teen daughters, I now operate strictly as a solo sitter/ walker, and will be the only person providing care for your pets and visiting your home. . As a UW-Seattle graduate, former sales and marketing executive, and current online business owner / remote worker, I bring absolute respect, clear communication, professionalism and mature responsibility to your home. I’m a clean, quiet, middle-aged gal who doesn't smoke, drink or (heaven forbid) do drugs. . I’m keen to supplement my income with something active and fun that I love doing but this time, for my own local community... taking care of adorable pets! 🐱🐶 . What I’d Love to Offer Your Household: . 🐶🐱 Attentive Pet Care: I’ll treat your pets like family, making sure they get plenty of love, walks, play, and that their daily routine is followed. Even shy, sensitive and senior dogs and cats take a shine to me. . 🏡 Respectful Home Care: I am tidy, follow directions well, and will always respect your space. I’m happy to handle daily household needs like watering plants, bringing in mail/packages, and taking out the garbage. I pride myself on leaving pet sit homes in the exact same condition I found them if not better. . 📱Regular Communication: I’m happy to text you updates and send photos of your favorite cuties regularly so you can be rest assured that they are doing well in my care. 💬📸🐶🐱 . 💊 Medical Needs: I have experience administering medications and handling unexpected situations (like vet visits) calmly and efficiently. . 🚙 Active Adventures: If you would like me to, I’d be happy to take energetic dogs to local trail outings or the nearest dog parks to get their wiggles out and socialize. The back of my SUV is clean and animal ready. . 🗓️ Schedule & Routine: For overnight sits, I’ll stay in your home so your pets feel comfortable in their own environment. My schedule is flexible, but a few days a week I step out for mid-morning local errands and appointments that take no more than 6 hours maximum. Outside of those hours, your pets will have my full attention. Because I run an online business, I will often be working on my laptop right at your home while your pup snoozes at my feet or your cat snuggles on my lap. . I look forward to having a Meet-and-Greet to ensure we are a perfect fit for a happy, comfortable sit! . UPDATE AS OF JULY 2026: I have a new house-sitting policy of a 3-night minimum stay for single-pet families, and a 2-night minimum stay for multi-pet families. Thank you for understanding, and I look forward to giving your furry family members 5-star care! 🗓️ For pet/house sits, I provide dedicated overnight care in your home so your pets can feel comfortable in their own environment while you are away. I will enjoy spending my evenings playing with your pets, or we can snuggle together and watch a dog or cat-friendly flick on Netflix! . My schedule is flexible, but a few days a week I step out for mid-morning local errands and appointments that take no more than 5 or 6 hours maximum. Outside of those hours, your pets will have my full attention. Because I run an online business part-time, I will often be working on my laptop right at your home while your pup snoozes at my feet or your cat snuggles on my lap. . I'm also available for dog walking and drop ins from 9am to 7pm to check on your cuties and take care of their needs. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. Over 12 pet owners have rated me 5 stars (on another platform... see photos)) and praised me for providing trustworthy and safe care as well as keeping their homes clean and respected. . When house sitting, I ensure all doors and gates are securely locked at all times, food and hazards are kept out of reach, and dogs are always kept on a secure leash during walks. I’m highly observant of any changes in a pet's energy or appetite, and I keep owners updated daily with photos and messages. Please view screenshots of my verified reviews directly in my photo gallery! =) . For peace of mind, I highly recommend an in-person Meet & Greet before our first scheduled service. This helps establish a great rapport between us and, most importantly, between me and your pets. That way, I’m already a familiar face to your fur babies when I arrive for the sit, and we can start off on the right paw!

After that, she got some really cute pictures! When she made it back to my house, she even watered my plants and said hello to my rabbit for me! What a great experience all around. She is my go to!

About: I have lived with cats and dogs all throughout my life, and I am very patient and loving with animals of all kinds. I am very disciplined and responsible, and I can accommodate both senior dogs and energetic puppies. I recently graduated university and am in the process of becoming an air traffic controller. In the meantime, I teach yoga and have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I am an active person, so getting out of the house and walking and playing with dogs is exactly how I enjoy spending my time. At home, I have a small fenced-in yard, but I also live near many walking trails and green spaces. I own a cat who has lived with dogs before.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 20. I have personally had 9 dogs, 2 of which are still living. They are a German Shepherd and a mixed hound. I also foster dogs from time to time. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, with dogs that need any special medication, as one of my dogs was a diabetic and blind. Also, I am comfortable with dogs that have aggression issues, as long as we work out how to address them before your dog stays with me, and no one gets hurt. Two of my German Shepherds have aggression issues that I had to work through. A little about me: I am going back to get my master's and teach. Currently, I am substitute teaching, and we undergo a very thorough background check, including fingerprints and a check with the FBI. I am willing to provide long-term boarding for deployments or similar situations. That is the case; we can discuss the details and the long-term care rate. I have a very large fenced yard that gives the dogs plenty of room to run and play. It is 1/3 of an acre. I have radiant heat in the floors of my house, and most of the time, the dogs lie on the nice, warm floor. I do have a camera in the backyard. I can give you access while your dog is staying here with me. :) I’m sorry, I cannot take any more neutered dogs. The few I have had have been working all over my house, and it doesn’t matter how much cleaning you do, or how special the treatments are, they don't work. It’s a big problem with unneutered dogs. I do hope you consider neutering your dog. I am currently working to go back and get my masters and education to be a teacher. I am available all days right now and flexible on times. I have a large yard that is fully fenced with a 6 foot fence. I treat pets as part of my family but keep them well behaved and mannered. I have fostered dogs before too, and I always try to meet the dog where they are at whether they are stressed, fearful, or have a lot of. For example, if they need a lot of exercise we go on walks and play several times a day. I find a happy dog is a happy life.

About: I’ve been a pet owner since I was 5, so I have tons of hands-on experience with dogs, cats, fish, birds and reptiles. My dream is to someday open my own doggy daycare/boarding facility, because working with animals has always been my passion. I am very patient with animals, which helps me to bond with even the shyest of pets. My roll and experience at the doggy daycare I manage is overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and fun environment for all dogs. Grouping dogs appropriately based on size, temperament, and play style; monitor play yards to prevent overstimulation or conflict. Maintain strict sanitation and health protocols, ensuring all kennels, play areas, and equipment are deeply cleaned and sanitized daily. Manage stock levels for dog food, treats, cleaning supplies, first aid kits, and office materials. Recruit, interview, and train new daycare attendants and pack leaders on dog behavior, safety protocols, and company policies. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal caregiver-to-dog ratios, keeping labor costs aligned with daily attendance. Provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance reviews, and foster a positive, collaborative team environment. Train staff to recognize early signs of stress, illness, or aggression in dogs, and ensure they know how to handle emergencies or dog fights calmly and effectively. Greet pet parents during check-in/check-out, address questions, and handle client concerns or complaints with professionalism and empathy. Conduct temperament evaluations (meet-and-greets) for incoming dogs to ensure they are a good fit for open-pack play. Maintain accurate up-to-date digital records for all dogs, ensuring required vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP) are current. Provide owners with detailed updates, report cards, or incident reports regarding their dog’s behavior, health, and socialization. Administer medications, supplements, or specialized diets accurately as requested by owners. Provide immediate pet first aid for minor cuts, scrapes, or injuries sustained during play. Safely transport or coordinate the transport of a pet to a partner veterinarian in the event of a medical emergency. I love all the dogs like they are on my own. IAlthough I went to school to be a vet tech at Pierce, I couldn’t see myself in the vet med environment. Caring for animals has and always will be my passion. I am available for walks and check ins at this time. My availability is open all day Saturdays, sundays and Thursdays. And limited availability Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays as I work full time at a doggy daycare/boarding facility here in Lakewood. I’ll give your fur baby lots of love and attention and keep them calm and comfortable while mom/dad are away. I always do a yard/gate check before letting them outside. I will always leave your home in the same or better condition that I arrived in.

About: Extreme dog lover! Extensive medical experience, very active person and I have a very spoiled but well behaved Labrador retriever of my own. I’m very well versed in obedience training as well and can help with basic commands. My dog can sit, lay down, heel, fetch a ball, frisbee, or stick. He also swims during the warmer months and gets exercise everyday. Mental and physical stimulation are very important factors to a dogs health and obedience. I would love to help you out and love on your puppers as much as I love on my own. Bonus points if my pup can come along and they play nicely together. I’m new to this app so let’s see how it goes! Best wishes finding the perfect fit! I work part time as a nurse so my schedule varies. On my days off I’d love to incorporate another dog into my routine and have a play date for Lincoln. I have a shared yard, and put my dog on a 25ft leash when it’s potty time. There is not a fully fenced yard. We also frequent the Steilacoom dog park so if your dog does well in that environment we can go on field trips.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Lakewood. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
