“Nathan was responsive, friendly and flexible when it came to taking care of Lucy. Followed directions very well and provided updates on the walk. Highly recommended and I will gladly use his services again.”
About: I have been doing Rover for about 4 years with my mom and have pet care experience from jobs as well! I have a senior dog and 6 cats, so I have many years cleaning lots of litter boxes, messes, hair balls, and keeping spaces clean behind my belt. I can help with mobility issues and can administer medications (oral and injectable). My dog is high anxiety and requires medication daily for that, so I’m also used to working around triggers and working to establish trust with pets. I am very caring and patient and sending owners silly photos is one of my favorite things! I work a part-time job so my availability varies. I don’t work many hours so I still have lots of time to spend with your pets! My cats are indoor only so I know how to navigate escape artists and closing doors real fast. I have experience walking large dogs from previous Rovers and jobs. I am a great communicator and you will always know what is going on and receive updates and photos. I can bring in mail, take out garbage, feed chickens or ducks even! I always recommend a meet and greet as well to make sure everyone feels comfortable and stress free!
“FANTASTIC! Megan made the arrangements of walking our old man (Labrador) while we went out of town so easy. She is clearly a natural with animals, to include dealing with my elderly mother. Thank you Megan!!!!!”

“Met Elizabeth for a meet and greet for more frequent walks while I’m at work. She was super punctual and sweet with my little Koda. She asked a lot of questions to make sure she could provide Koda with the best walk possible. I look forward to working more with her!”

“Arianna is a trustworthy and excellent person. My pooch loves her and she is flexible, responsible, and responds well. She is now dooing weekly with me! Thanks!”

“Sarah was so great with my high energy dog! I felt very confident in her abilities. I also appreciated her good communication and professionalism. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Kelly was very quick to respond. She arrived on time to walk Dory and was so kind to send a pic of their walk. She was super easy to communicate with. I definitely recommend Kelly to anyone looking for a reliable dog walker. Thank you so much, Kelly!”

About: For most of my life, I have had many animals, including cats and dogs whom I've loved taking care of. I enjoy walking, feeding, and playing with them. I want to be a dog's best friend, make them feel comfortable and safe with a person who they just met. Providing these animals with joy by being there and allowing them to explore the outdoors and running around chasing their toys brings happiness to me and the dog(s). Making the animals feel safe allows them to be themselves and to have fun, even when their parents are gone, creating a fun environment is a must for these animals. I find meeting new dogs is very enjoyable experience being able to spend time with them, knowing they will have fun while being safe. I'm currently working part-time as a teacher in tacoma. Therefore my summer is free and the fall is open as well to take care of all your pets needs! I have experience meeting all kinds of dogs and cats, from scared and shy to friendly and jumping. I will work with the owner to create a safe, fun, and trustworthy environment.
“We love Jenna! I am new to the area and my regular dog walker went away for a month but luckily I found Jenna on Rover. She obviously really cares about animals and really takes good care of my 2 fur babies, not just walks but also great feedback on their behavior and mood and poo quality and such, which is really helpful for a busy single Pet Parent. And they clearly love her! Jenna is now part of our "pack" we book her regularly.”
“Ethan is amazing. I can not put into words how great he is with my Roman. I was nervous leaving my dog with someone other than family for the first time, but Ethan made everything so easy. All of the updates, pictures, and just his knowledge of dogs. I can not recommend him enough!”

About: Grew up with animals my entire life, and started sitting for friends and family at an early age. Experience with animals of all ages and temperaments - and have additional training from the local Humane Society where I volunteered until I recently was hired - in animal behavior and body language. Also, some exposure to Zoom Room clicker and positive reinforcement training techniques. I’ve just started a new job so figuring out how best to manage the time, and have one pet at home, but there is quite a bit of flexibility in my schedule at this time. And I will happily communicate to find a good routine that works for all. I am currently available most days during the week, and some weekends and will publish any changes in availability as far in advance as possible. Due to the pet in my home, I currently offer services in the convenience of your home as well as dog walking and outings. I care for all animals as if they are my own, ensuring clean healthy spaces, plenty of fresh water and appropriate food, enrichment, playtime, and balanced exercise. Couch potatoes and energizer bunnies welcome!
About: Just want to add a note. Because I do not have kids or a dog of my own, I regularly travel to help friends and family in other cities and states. Sometimes with sitting, often with caregiving. If you see my location change or have questions about my availability in a different location, hit me up. I’m flexible unless previously booked. I have owned or cared for dogs my entire life, with the occasional rodent or scaled creature thrown in. Hopefully not at the same time. I’m comfortable with basic wound cleaning as well as administering medication. After a period working in a pet store I’m also more skilled in ear cleaning, breathing treatments, and temperature taking than I’d care to be. I work from home Monday-Friday and as long as i have WiFi, I am flexible to work around your animals schedule. I’m also a bit of a homebody so I’m perfect for all the Covid dogs looking to keep their jobs as a shadow while their parents are out of town. At this time I am unable to care for pets in my home. I live with my niece and her cat can be a little…stabby, for lack of a better word. In your home, I’ll be following your lead. I do tend to go outside with dogs at night, even with fenced yards. I am always wary of bobcats and coyotes looking for water and snacks. I’m also perfectly comfortable with a pile of animals sleeping in bed with me so if that’s what your animals prefer, I’m here for it.
“Natalie has been an amazing sitter. We have a special needs/ very shy dog. Natalie works slow with him, and goes above and beyond making sure his needs are met - my confidence is very high when he’s in her care (and he loves her). She is great about communicating, as well as extremely flexible and easy to work with.”

“Lydia has been a wonderful addition to my dog walking team. She’s responsive to messages, flexible with individual needs, and dependable with care. She sends quality pictures and updates so I know how the walks went and how my pups are doing during her care. If she has questions or concerns during her time with the dogs she addresses them promptly and respectfully. I can trust no issue or concern will go unnoticed or unreported. I appreciate having Lydia as a trusted member of my team and can count on my dogs being well cared for and loved on while I am away.”

“Britt has been doing a great job Walking my 75 lb lab! My girl is so excited every time Brit comes to the door. She gives me a great report card and lots of pictures. Highly recommend!!”

“Nisa is terrific with my stubborn dog and manages to take him on some good long walks. She's punctual and reliable. It gives me peace of mind knowing my dog is getting his afternoon walk.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
