I was a bit nervous, as I've never had to leave my cat alone for that long before. The meet-and-greet with Carrie alleviated all my worries! About: I love being around dogs. I’ve had them my whole life, and for the last 14 years I’ve raised my own—from puppy days all the way to senior care. My current dog is a total ball of energy, so I trained him to run with me while I bike, which has made me super patient and good with active pups. Dogs staying with me get a big yard to roam and a trail close by for walks or runs. I’m comfortable adjusting to whatever a dog needs—lots of activity, slow strolls, or just some company. I work remotely so I'm able to do boarding anytime. I do occasional walks around the neighborhood. We have a park right behind our home with a great trail to walk. About: I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember and have basically never known a pet-free life. I grew up with my dad, who is a professional dog trainer, so learning how to understand and work with animals started early for me. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and even ferrets (yes, really) — I had two ferrets and a cat in college, and now I have two cats of my own. I regularly take care of my family’s pets when they’re out of town, and I take that responsibility seriously while still making sure pets feel relaxed, safe, and loved. I’m excited to expand my pet care and help more families feel comfortable knowing their pets are in good hands. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I have two cats of my own, and playtime is built into our mornings and evenings — it’s something my husband and I genuinely enjoy. We both work full-time (I’m a teacher and he works in the medical field), but during the day my mom or grandmother is home with my son, so there’s always someone around. That means pets are never left without care, attention, or a familiar presence, and I’m able to stick closely to each pet’s normal routine. Pets will be safe and comfortable in my home. We own our house and have both a fully fenced backyard and a fenced front yard, giving pets plenty of secure outdoor space. We love getting outside and regularly go on longer walks and trail excursions, so active dogs will get plenty of exercise and enrichment. Daily walks are already part of our routine, often with my son along for the fun. Inside, pets have space to relax, and I can crate a dog if needed or requested. I also have a calm, quiet area of the house for pets who prefer a more peaceful space or need a break from activity.

If you see my location change or have questions about my availability in a different location, hit me up. I’m flexible unless previously booked. I have owned or cared for dogs my entire life, with the occasional rodent or scaled creature thrown in. Hopefully not at the same time. I’m comfortable with basic wound cleaning as well as administering medication. After a period working in a pet store I’m also more skilled in ear cleaning, breathing treatments, and temperature taking than I’d care to be. I work from home Monday-Friday and as long as i have WiFi, I am flexible to work around your animals schedule. I’m also a bit of a homebody so I’m perfect for all the Covid dogs looking to keep their jobs as a shadow while their parents are out of town. At this time I am unable to care for pets in my home. I live with my niece and her cat can be a little…stabby, for lack of a better word. In your home, I’ll be following your lead. I do tend to go outside with dogs at night, even with fenced yards. I am always wary of bobcats and coyotes looking for water and snacks. I’m also perfectly comfortable with a pile of animals sleeping in bed with me so if that’s what your animals prefer, I’m here for it.

I love walking dogs and can take them out for as long or short of a walk as they need. I also have experience giving them medications including pills, ointments, and eye drops. About: The last 2-3 years i have been pet/house sitting full-time. I absolutely take pride in people trusting me in their homes and with their fur babies! I enjoy getting to know your pets. Watching their personalities and making sure they are taken care of while you are away. Know that if you choose me to take care of your pets, I will take care of them to the best of my ability. As if they're my own. Ive worked with elderly pets who need daily medication, feral cats that need a bit more love and patience, and cuddly and playful kitties. When approaching any animal, i make sure to do so while keeping an eye on their body language and making sure they show me signs of feeling safe. Disclaimer: Although, i have worked with feral cats that have had minor behavioral issues, i do not feel comfortable working with any animal (dogs or cats) that has extreme behavior problems (such as aggression at the sight of a new person or attacking even when they're not being interacted with, etc). Meaning i have a lot of time to care or your pets while you're away. I do take public transportation. So would have to factor that into getting to and from your home. I prefer to care for your pets in your home. I will make sure to follow the given thorough instruction for feeding and walking schedule, play, medication, etc.

“I was able to board my dog Tex at Leslie’s on short notice and it turned out to be a great fit. Her dog Bruce is very well trained and got along great with my dog, who’s more interested in human friends than other dogs. She was able to administer his medication with no issues and kept the pups happy and active. She’s reliable, communicative, and took great care of Tex. I will definitely board my dog with her again! :)”
