“I could not have been more pleased with the care my fur baby, Toby, received from Tobi. First, we had a meet and greet where Toby was introduced to the resident dogs. They were as welcoming as Tobi and her husband! On the day I dropped Toby off for his stay, he went right in without any nervousness, not even looking back at me. Tobi sent me updates with photos almost daily, and I could see Toby was blending right into the family (he slept on the bed with everyone at night.) She kept in contact with us frequently via text, sending status reports and candid pictures of him as he went about his day. She has several cats and two dogs and he did very well with all of them. It was helpful that during our initial meet-n-greet she introduced herself to him first outside her home. Then we went inside and she gave him ample time to spend in the environment with her pets. Once he came over for his actual stay he settled in quite nicely and had a great time. Anita was lovely to work with and we'd definitely send Hunter to her again.”

About: My 18 year old Cairn Terrier has just left for doggie heaven. My home is lonely without him. He was my fourth dog, so I have a lot of experience caring for a furry friend. My rate is low because having to find care for my dog was a major issue when I traveled. It is worth mentioning that I will watch only ONE dog at a time. It must also be a SMALL dog based on the Rover size chart. I am retired, but love to travel. I think it would be unfair to adopt another dog while I am still intending to spend time away from home. It has been a long time since I have been without a dog in my life. I thought taking care of yours would be a good way to have a furry companion when I am home. This is another reason for my low rate. I have a big fenced yard and a lot of left over stuff from my dog to provide a warm welcoming environment for my client's pet.

About: I have owned or cared for dogs my entire life, with the occasional rodent or scaled creature thrown in. Hopefully not at the same time. I’m comfortable with basic wound cleaning as well as administering medication. After a period working in a pet store I’m also more skilled in ear cleaning, breathing treatments, and temperature taking than I’d care to be. Work situation changed so I’m more open to daytime walks and drop ins. I also keep a weird sleep schedule so if you need a late night drop in or walk, hit me up. Update: I did recently get a dog. He’s a young doodle and prefers to chew on my hair and hands more than toys, but gets along well with other dogs. He sure everyone wants to be his friend. He is young, potty trained and a great playmate. So right now the only way I’m able to sit is if your dog would like new bestie. I am unable to care for pets in my home. I live with my niece and her cat can be a little…stabby, for lack of a better word. In your home, I’ll be following your lead. I do tend to go outside with dogs at night, even with fenced yards. I am always wary of bobcats and coyotes looking for water and snacks. I’m also perfectly comfortable with a pile of animals sleeping in bed with me so if that’s what your animals prefer, I’m here for it.

“I was able to board my dog Tex at Leslie’s on short notice and it turned out to be a great fit. Her dog Bruce is very well trained and got along great with my dog, who’s more interested in human friends than other dogs. She was able to administer his medication with no issues and kept the pups happy and active. She’s reliable, communicative, and took great care of Tex. I will definitely board my dog with her again! :)”
