“We have booked Kelly multiple times, and our once-anxious shih tzus were practically dragging my husband across the lawn to greet her this time. They adore “Auntie Kelly” and they were a little sad to leave Khloe behind at the end of the day. I love the regular updates and photos she sends throughout the day, and she truly cares for my dogs as if they were her own. I (still!) highly recommend her!”
“Alyssa has done a wonderful job watching my pug Ella! I've appreciated that she's given me updates and it seems like my pug feels right at home and follows her around everywhere. Thanks for taking such good care of Ella!”

“Matt is great sitter! I was so nervous dropping Sammy off because it was the first time I let someone else watch him. My fears were gone when I saw how happy Sammy was. The next time I dropped Sammy off at Matt’s, Sammy was pulling on his leash trying to run up to Matt’s house. Sammy was so excited about the fun he was going to have. Matt does a great job running Sammy and taking him on walks. As a corgi, Sammy has a ton of energy so I’m glad Matt was able to accommodate that. Would recommend using Matt 100%.”

“Ethan and his dog Nico took great care of Yonder! I received updates and very good photos all day while he was in Ethan’s care. Yonder came back absolutely exhausted from playing in the yard. Thanks Ethan!”

“I haven’t seen Potato this excited about a dogsitter in quite some time, so I’ll definitely be bringing her back again soon. Kathy and her husband took such wonderful care of Potato while I was at work for the week.”

“Kate has been fantastic with Mabel! She sends regular pictures and videos through out the day so that we can see our pups play! Our dog is always super happy to go to Kate’s and loves all the other pups there. We would highly recommend Kate for any dog sitting, walking or regular day care and we will continue to use her in the future! If we could give more than 5 stars we would!”

About: Our family dog recently passed away, and I am looking to fill the whole. I do not have any pets, so your dog would get my full attention. Our dog was 15 years old when she passed, so I have some experience working with elderly dogs. I work full-time from home, and have a lot of flexibility during my day. I am available for midday visits and walks, and your dog would get my full attention and have a buddy for the weekdays. My yard is partially fenced in, so I would keep your dog on a leash when it is back there. I own my home, and it has wood floors throughout. Easy for cleanups.
“Kana is a very special person. Our Watson loves going to daycare at her house. I can see how much fun and how happy he is in every one of the pictures she sends. She is very much appreciated.”

“Jennifer is amazing- a total dog whisperer. Our dog is always a bit nervous around new people and in new settings. He took instantly to Jennifer and was much more relaxed at the end of the day when I picked him up. We’ve worked with Jennifer several times now and she’s been responsive, incredibly reliable, and communicative. I’d definitely recommend her to any of my family or friends.”

About: I love pets in general, especially dogs of all shapes and sizes. Although my home is their haven, we rarely spend time indoors when it's not raining outside. I've raised multiple Doberman Pinschers over the years starting at the tender age of 7 weeks and currently have one of my own, so I'm used to stubborn, energetic and messy dogs. I also provide supplemental training using positive reinforcement if a dog is still very young or experiencing behavioral issues that need to be corrected. I believe in treats/rewarding good behavior over correcting bad behavior. I'm firm when I need to be, but I'm never harsh. Lastly, I'm very sensitive to a dog's body language and verbal queues. For example, I can distinguish between anxiety and boredom or when a dog is excited vs aggressive. You won't regret leaving your companion in my care. They will always be treated like family! Feel free to use this referral code for $20 in credit on your first booking: https://www.rover.com/sit/ebraht80961 I opened up my own tech business a couple months ago and I'm currently working from home. I'm available to host, walk and/or check in on your fur baby any day of the week. While your loved one is at my place, they will be able to have the run of it. I’m currently in a 700+ sq ft apartment. There’s definitely room for comfortable walking/running back and forth and the yard right outside my back porch, although unfenced, is huge and allows for easy access to leashed exercising/potty breaks. I always have toys and treats they’re more than welcome to. If house sitting at your home, I’d follow whatever instructions you lay out for me as long as my own dog is able to tag along.
About: Hi there, my name is Noelle! I’ve been working with animals my whole life, by helping my mother with her pet sitting business, to taking care of my own creature babies. I have experience with small/medium dogs, cats, and exotics such as reptiles and birds. I’m not squeamish around bugs either if you happen to have creepy crawly friends! I took care of my beloved family dog, Daffy for 14 years until her passing. I have experience with elderly dogs such as giving them medicine, frequent potty breaks, etc. I have a Russian Tortoise named Gaia, I’ve had him for about 6 years now! I also have a Siamese mix named Millie, so I’ve had my fair share of live in pet experience. I currently work from home on my computer and can take breaks whenever needed to give your pet attention. My job doesn’t have a schedule, so I can be there pretty much whenever you need me! I excel at following written/verbal instruction, just tell me what your babies need, and I will follow to the letter. More information is always welcome!
“Morgane was great! We were in need of some special support for a shy foster dog with some quirks. Morgane was great with her -- took her time to make her comfortable and kept us updated throughout the day. Highly recommend!”

“Eileen was great she kept me informed throughout the whole time my dog stayed with her and took care and pride in taking care of dog she even played soothing music that helped put her to sleep I would recommend her to anyone”

About: I love being around dogs. I’ve had them my whole life, and for the last 14 years I’ve raised my own—from puppy days all the way to senior care. My current dog is a total ball of energy, so I trained him to run with me while I bike, which has made me super patient and good with active pups. Dogs staying with me get a big yard to roam and a trail close by for walks or runs. I’m comfortable adjusting to whatever a dog needs—lots of activity, slow strolls, or just some company. I work remotely so I'm able to do boarding anytime. I do occasional walks around the neighborhood. We have a park right behind our home with a great trail to walk. I'm pretty flexible with other pet care responsibilities and would love to discuss what your needs are. I live in a home with a big yard with my husband and our 7 year old blue heeler, Bruce. He would love to keep your fur baby company.

About: Hi, I’m Sierra and I would love to give your pets the quality care they deserve! I am a huge animal lover with many years of experience working with animals. I am very responsible and clean whenever I am a guest in someone's home. I am also insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates. I have more than 5 years of professional experience working in overnight pet boarding & doggie day care facilities. I worked 2+ years at Paws Crossing Pet Resort and I also worked 3+ years at PetSmart PetsHotel where I was a supervisor. I have been petsitting full time for a little over 2 years now and I absolutely love it. See my photo gallery for pictures of all kinds of dogs I’ve worked with over the years! On top of my professional experience, I have volunteered at animal shelters, petsat for friends and family, and cared for my own 2 doggies Mugsy and Marley. Throughout my many years of experience I have worked with all kinds of dogs from energetic puppies to older dogs that need extra special care, and everything in between. I have worked with every size and breed you could think of. I have cared for cats and even bunnies too. I have been trained on how to safely administer many kinds of medications and injections if necessary. Because of my extensive experience working with animals I am confident I can keep your pets happy healthy and safe no matter the situation. I have been trained on how to recognize signs of stress or any other signs of concern, and if I notice anything worrisome I will contact you immediately so we can form a plan of action together if needed. Note: I do not bring my dogs with me when I petsit (unless your pets are friendly and want to have a play date we can possibly work that out!). My roommate takes care of my dogs for me when I am not home, which is why I have an extra fee for overnight stays of 3+ nights. If you have any questions about my pricing or anything else please reach out!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fircrest
For years we’ve been searching for a doggy daycare where our two small pups will feel safe and play. We’ve finally found that with Kana and Brian. They make everything easy, communicate well, and our dogs come home happy and tired. We’ve worked with them three times already and look forward to more visits.

So grateful to Kathy for this last minute booking. Kathy was so kind and understanding with my boy Timmy, who has struggled with separation anxiety. Her sweet pup Marley is welcoming and happy to meet new friends. I will definitely keep them in mind for the future!

I feel so lucky to have found Chuck and Mary! I had a last minute need for a sitter for my dog, and they were willing to take him for the day. They are such kind people who clearly love animals, and they made my anxious guy feel safe and comfortable, which is such a gift. Plus their yard is the most amazing sniff park!

Sydnee has been fantastic with my pitbull named Hurley. She is very friendly and knowledgeable and shows that she cares for her animals. She sends photos and updates throughout the day and her bully breed Bronson is sooooo cute and loves to play with my dog. It's also very refreshing coming home from a long day of work and my pup was ready for a nap. Will definitely be using her services again and again.

Joshua was great about caring for my puppy! My puppy came home happy and was well cared for/exercised. My pup might be a bit too big and energetic for his home, but that’s not his fault. He adjusted well to best care for my big, chaotic, puppy. I highly recommend!!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
