“Juli did a wonderful job of checking in on our kitty twice a day! She gave us detailed updates, photos, and videos, so we knew all of our fur babies were doing well. We will definitely book with her again the next time we go out of town. Thanks so much!”

“Sierra is so great with our pets! She leaves us at ease and able to enjoy vacations while we’re away knowing they are taken care of. We’ll definitely be using her again!”

“I just love reading Elizabeth’s updates on our dog when she sits for us. She gives him all the cuddles and attention he demands. He always looks forward to her visits, and while he gets sad when he sees us packing for a trip, he knows what “Elizabeth” means, and does his happy tappies.”

“Christina came to my rescue last minute in a tough situation and has become our weekly walker. I am so incredibly grateful for the consistent help, flexibility, and experience with reactive dogs. Highly recommend!!!”

“Kimberly was the best! She was punctual and had great communication while we were out of town. My little buddy is not use to strangers but he warmed up to her very quickly. Kimberly went above and beyond and would love to rebook her in the future!”

“Emily was able to watch our cats for the weekend with a last minute request, and did a great job. She is very prompt and thorough. We came home to 2 content cats! Thanks, Emily!”

“Alyssa was wonderful! She took great care of my two cats, ensuring they got plenty of love and playtime while I was out of town. She sent lots of videos and pictures to update me on how the cats were doing. She was also very communicative, professional, and friendly! I would trust her to care for my fur babies anytime and I highly recommend her for all of your pet or house-sitting needs!”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats as a child, and started doing pet care for neighbors as soon as I could. Caring for pets continued through college, getting connected through friends to walk dogs in between classes. When I moved to the PNW, I discovered Rover and have been sitting and walking ever since. The recent gap in my services was from moving down to University Place and then focusing on my own dog, Winston, for the first two years after his adoption. I am only offering walks and drop-ins (no long term or overnight care). My pup Winston will stay at home whenever I am booked for services so that I can give your pet(s) 100% of my attention. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels and have experience with quite a few behavioral concerns as well. I am very comfortable working with pets that struggle with: - leash reactivity - anxiety around people or other animals - medical issues, including those that require medication administration or emergent care - pain and mobility issues due to aging - food sensitivities/diet restrictions I also love working on dog training whether that’s loose leash walking techniques or just having your pup learn or practice tricks as a part of a drop in visit. I know the feeling of leaving your pet with a Rover sitter for the first time, especially when they have a history of medical issues or anxiety, so I always send detailed updates with photos to keep you at ease. I’m so excited to be starting my services again and hope to meet you and your pets soon! I am taking a break from work before beginning a fully remote role as a consultant in a few months, offering me a ton of flexibility to set my own schedule. Once I begin working again, advance notice will make it easier for me to schedule my meetings around Rover bookings. I live in home with my partner in a quiet, dog friendly neighborhood. I typically refrain from off leash activities, interactions with other dogs/people, or rigorous activities like hiking or running unless I have permission from the owners and repeat experience with the pet.
“Highly recommend Carrie if you need a cat sitter! Carrie did check-ins for my senior cat while we were away for 7 days during Thanksgiving week. I was a bit nervous, as I've never had to leave my cat alone for that long before. The meet-and-greet with Carrie alleviated all my worries! She was wonderful with our cat, and gave him so much love, attention, and play time while we were away. Her update reports were always detailed and lovely to read, and she sent tons of great photos with each report. Everything was clean when we returned home (cat box empty/clean, litter swept off the floor). Carrie was always on time for meet-ups, check-ins, key exchanges etc, and is the perfect person to have check-in on your pet! :) I'll definitely be reaching out to her again next time we need someone to check on our cat!”

“Misao took amazing care of our cat while we were out of town. She was very conscientious, gave us regular updates, brought in our mail and packages, and left the house cleaner than when we left. Not only was she incredibly sweet, she was timely, followed our detailed instructions perfectly and was overall a great pet sitter! Highly recommend and would hire again :)”

“Rachel is wonderful with our kitty. She is communicative and considerate. She tries to play with Stormy, gives her treats, feeds her, and cleans up after her, and is a great relief that we have her to pet sit when we go out of town. I’d highly suggest her.”

“Briana and Jamal were absolutely wonderful with my senior dog. They were responsive, sent great updates, and were very timely with their visits. Will definitely be hitting them up for help with my girl again.”

“We had such a great experience with Megan! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. I really appreciate the care and attention she gave them—it gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾”

“Kim is a fantastic sitter. I’ve tried several sitters for my two pups that both have very differing needs, Kim is by far the best. She understands dog’s needs. Leaving the dogs with her adds a level of relaxation to our trips knowing my precious pups are being well cared for.”

About: Hi! I’m Kelly. 👋 I have over 15 years of dog care experience and will make sure your pup gets the exercise and attention they deserve. 🐶 I usually only take one or two dogs at a time for doggy daycare. I prefer drop-offs and pick-ups to be after 7am and before 6pm, but I can make exceptions if needed. My partner and I work from home, so I’ll have plenty of time and help to play with your pups! I’m available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and house sitting during the week and potentially weekends. I have an enormous fenced backyard where we will spend most of our time, and I live in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, perfect for leisurely walks.

Alyssa has done a great job with my sweet Labrador. She plays with him and keeps up with his training while I’m away at work. And she sends the best updates with photos, stories, and videos so I know he is being well cared for! Would highly recommend her services!

Kenji is my pup’s best friend. Lol I only took a week off and his absence was felt. I work ten hour days and knowing he’s popping in to check on my fur child and getting her outside really gives me peace of mind. He’s incredibly considerate and punctual. Having him this summer has made this career transition so much easier for my fur child and myself and as long as my finances allow, I’ll be reaching out to him for services. Thanks Kenji!

Lesley watched Cuervo while I was out of town for 2 1/2 weeks and did an amazing job of taking care of him. She brought him extra treats and really devoted her time when she was at my place to make sure Cuervo got love and attention! She really put my mind at ease while I was out of town. She’s the best!

This is the first time we have used this site for pet sitting. We chose Sasha ans Alex for drop-in visits three times a day with some specific instructions on feeding and care. Sasha and Alex nailed it perfectly. Out pets have never been left alone over night without someone in the house. Sasha and Alex cared so well for our pets for the three days that they created a new routine that all three kiddos. We hope to use Rover and especially Sasha and Alex again in the near future. They are phenomenal. Thank you Sasha ans Alex

Arianna went above and beyond with Loki. What a wonderful comforting feeling it is to know your furbaby is being cared for by someone that genuinely cares. Her communication was amazing and the daily photos an added bonus. I would definitely recommend Arianna all day long.

Rachel is incredible! She is reliable, punctual and very communicative which is so helpful for our peace of mind when we have to leave small dog. Most importantly I felt she really took care to love on Oliver and give him the attention he needed and took good care of him. She has watched Oliver for a couple of times for us and she was flexible and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend Rachel!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
