“Marissa was amazing, she is so sweet and our kitty absolutely loved her. She took so many pictures and made sure to update me on how everything was going. Marissa went above and beyond. She gave me total peace of mind while I was gone. I will absolutely be using her again ❤️ I highly recommend Marissa!!”

About: I have owned dogs since I was 8, I helped watch the neighbors dogs growing up. I currently have two dogs and I also work with a foster organization. Since August we have successfully helped 7 foster dogs find new homes. We have puppy potty training down and have started working with one of our dogs for service dog certification. I am a SAHM and homeschool my children. We are home all day and will make sure that dogs are walked and well cared for. Dogs will be able to roam the house and fenced yard. We will take them for daily walks or runs if they enjoy running. We have multiple crates that can be set-up in different locations so that the dogs have their own space to go to if needed. We work from home so adding a pet is easy. There is usually someone home so your dog will not be alone. We are a pet loving family who will love your dog like they are ours during the stay. I have a fenced yard for the dog to play. I always separate the dogs during feeding time and we give them one-on-one time with us.
“Andrhu was so kind and flexible. When access to the house was unavailable, at my poor planning, he was incredibly understanding and accommodating. It is more appreciated than he may know. He was very thorough as well during his drop in visits for our 2 pups.”

About: I have two dogs of my own and I’ve worked with trained and untrained dogs. I’m a regular dog walker for my friends and family, they know they can rely on me to step in when they need a bit of help! AND I just love dogs! I currently work part time outside of dog sitting and walking. This means I am fully available on Sundays and Mondays and then the rest of the week I’m available mid day - afternoon. If we arrange it and I can do it, I can also stop by in the mornings before work to take your pup out for a quick potty run and feed. I live in an apartment so I know many trails in the area that are great for dog walking! I have two friendly dogs to keep your dog company, (if they like that), if not I can definitely do solo walks/ playtime!

About: Hi! My name is Monae, and caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I have hands-on experience working with dogs through my volunteer work at the Humane Society and Resilient Sanctuary, where I help with walking dogs, providing enrichment and socialization, cleaning kennels, preparing food and water, and assisting with daily care. I am comfortable around dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I am currently pursuing a degree in psychology, and I have a strong interest in animal behavior and dog training. This has helped me develop patience, observation skills, and an understanding of how to build trust with both pets and their owners. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or companionship while you’re away, I will treat them with the same care, attention, and respect that I would want for my own pet. I know how important it is to have peace of mind when someone else is caring for your furry family member, and I am committed to providing reliable care and clear communication every step of the way. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾 Why book with me? * Volunteer experience with dogs at the Humane Society and Resilient Sanctuary * Experience with daily animal care, enrichment, and socialization * Reliable and responsive communication * Comfortable with dogs of various breeds and sizes * Passionate about animal behavior and dog training * Dedicated to making pets feel safe, happy, and loved I work full-time with TSA, so I currently offer pet care on Fridays and Saturdays. Spending time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy, and I look forward to dedicating my days off to caring for pets. Whether it's walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or companionship, I will make sure your dog receives plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you're away. I live in an apartment, but I make sure dogs receive plenty of walks, exercise, potty breaks, and attention. I always follow the owner's instructions and take the time to learn each dog's routine and needs. I currently volunteer with the Humane Society and Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary, where I work with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. My goal is to provide a safe, positive, and stress-free experience for every dog in my care. I am also pursuing a degree in psychology and will be starting the Karen Pryor Dog Trainer Foundations course. My long-term goal is to become a service dog trainer, so I'm passionate about continuing to learn and build experience working with dogs.
“I came home to a very happy and relaxed dog rather than a sick and clingy dog when left at a kennel. I received pics every day so I knew he was doing great. A great relief to me when I have to travel.”

“Heather is a great help! She is so sweet and kind with our little goldendoodle puppy Lulu. She is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend her services.”

“Ivy was fantastic! I appreciated her patience, understanding, and consideration with Aspen. She was kind, thoughtful and careful while Aspen became comfortable with her. Scheduling and coordinating with Ivy was a breeze. She put in time and effort to make the schedule and manage everything through Rover. I'll be using Ivy in the future, without a doubt.”

“I was anxious to find a dog sitter, and I wanted to make sure I found someone with a decent amount of experience. Sophia was more than happy to do a meet-and-greet with both of my dogs. She met them both where they were at, and they both had a successful first experience getting care from someone other than me or a close friend.”

“So so happy I chose Rose to watch over my cat while I was away! She’s helped me out twice now short notice which has been a lifesaver. She is amazing at following my cat’s medication instructions and communicating everything to me. Truly so grateful we found her! Thank you, Rose!”

“Minh was absolutely fantastic with our pup! She provided consistent updates, sent great photos, and followed all care instructions to a T. It was such a relief knowing our dog was in such capable and caring hands while we were away. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and genuine dog lover. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Brooklyn is awesome! She is consistent, sweet with my dog, quick to respond and so trust worthy! She will be requested anytime help with our doggo is needed!”

“Alyssa was fantastic! My dogs are slow to welcome new people into their lives, but they had huge smiles on their faces when we received photos of their check ins. Made my vacation super relaxing knowing my babies were so well taken care of while I was away. Will definitely be trying to steal Alyssa's availability next time I go out of town.”

“I highly recommend having Paul watch your family pet. My little Ava fell in love with him. He was thorough in his visits, gave so much affection to Ava, sent photos on walks, playing outside, and just relaxing on the sofa. This was her first Rover experience and it was magnificent. Thank you Paul!”

“We had such a great experience with Megan! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. I really appreciate the care and attention she gave them—it gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾”

“We booked at the very last minute due to a late cancellation of our previous sitter, and Brianna was extremely accommodating, and came out for a meet and greet. Our girls immediately took to her, and they were all very well and happy when we got home. I really appreciated the updates about their care as it was going on, and I will ABSOLUTELY hire Brianna again!”

“Pricilla was awesome. She treated my dog like family and kept me in the loop the whole time with photos and updates. I came home to a happy, relaxed pup who was clearly well taken care of. Definitely booking her again next time I’m out of town.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
